No changes.

Apples are spectacular. Golden Apples even more so. For Severus, the consumption of the mind-boggling fruit had marked the beginning of ridiculous changes that chased after him. And since the day it all began, he hungered for another.

Now, after a series of continuous transformation, he decided to find himself another. Ptolemy considered it neigh-impossible but aided by your implausibly sensitive senses, you tried to locate it. He sought after the familiar tug of warping space-time, and the inkling of power that he once nearly held in his palms. Through sheer cosmic coincidence, he traced it.

He entered into a delirious trance and began walking. The scenery shifted once more, morphing into the encaptivating essence of gold, as Severus was unconsciously enveloped by the magical mists. But this time, he was not alone.

"Welcome, Arcanist." A telepathic resonation blasted into Severus, redirecting his attention towards the towering entity. It was a behemoth; a reptilian, three-headed, golden leviathan, standing in between Severus and the perceivable tree of life. It released a suffocating pressure, which seemingly saturated the surroundings with unadulterated magic. It was a beautiful but terrifying sight overall.

"Your greed knows no boundaries, insolent human." The dragon condemned slowly. "But your fate is blessed, but not enough to warrant an unchained gift."

Severus stood there silently, as he took in the words of the great beast.

"Every great power comes with an even greater price. Do you believe yourself capable enough?"

Severus quietly kept eye contact. "What are your stipulations?"

The molten dragon outwardly flared, as if it was pleased. "I am a generous spirit and considering your peerless fortune, I'll provide you with two options."

[] Leave and never come back.
[] Write-In. (How do you wanna go about convincing the dragon to give it to you? Keep in mind the dragon can reject any ridiculous propositions.)

"So, what have you decided? How resolute is your will?"

A/N -> A high roll, but not enough to warrant another apple. Especially considering that a second one is harder to acquire than the first. So how do you plan on going about it? Plan it down if you feel you have a passable approach. A second part update will occur if you plan for it. On the other hand, if you leave now, DC will be a lot higher next time, and the guardian will not be so kind.

Plan away!

Well, shucks. I have no idea what this dragon might want (side-note, it's being very hasty calling us greedy, we only spent a few hours(?) on the work of finding a tasty apple, hardly the point to call it greed).

@Divine Oblivion Can we atleast get a hint, as to whether we're suppose to offer something of equal value (trading with the dragon), or if this is suppose to be a "prove your worth" situation (Promising to do so-and-so)?

[] "I will undertake any one quest for you, Guardian, if it meets two stipulations - that it does not conflict with my morals at the time you ask it of me, and that it is within my means. Should your task not meet my first criteria, you shall not lose your right. If you send me on an impossible task, we shall re-negotiate."

Just a first draft. This isn't necessarily good or fitting our Severus.

[X] What will it take for you to be willing to relinquish one of the apples. I doubt Money would appease you as they are near priceless, but could I instead offer my services in exchange for another one.

We offer our future services. Right now we may be talented but we suck. But if we survive till we are grown up and train well...

That is basically the only thing we have that is worth something, our future services. Unless he's the kind to want some sorta metaphysical trade, like our Sight, or our capacity for love. But I'm hoping the DM will shed SOME light on what we're suppose to be offering here, because it's entirely possible the Dragon doesn't want ANYTHING from us, but just wants us to prove our worth, that we deserve that second apple. Make some pledge about our future conduct, or something.

...The dice in this quest have very strong opinions about what sort of quest it should be. I'm watching just to see how ridiculous it is going to get.

[X] Write-In. Within my veins runs the ancient bloodline of Ptolemy. I offer some of my blood for the apple

Probably not the best idea but could work

[X] I will assist you in tending to this blessed tree.

The Dragon likely wants to protect the fruit. Let's help.

Either of them can work. The dice will decide the fate after all. The more you're willing to give up, the lower the DC will be.

And you can offer almost anything. You could fight it, prove your worth, convince it to give it for free, or trade something like a trait, Ptolemy himself; anything is possible.

So go crazy.

Alright, time to offer the most worthwhile thing we have, our future services

[X] We don't have much to offer right now in exchange, but we'll owe him a favor, any task he desires that is neither suicidal nor utterly morally reprehensible we'll perform to the best of our ability.

Here's hoping the dice continue to favor us. Also, what is your Omake Policy?
Well considering that our body has changed from the first apple, we have a spark of divinity and we are the chosen heir of a powerful wizard king I would say we our blood is likely to have something special about it
Or it's the apple that is special, not our blood.

Also, Ptolmney wasn't a king, he was a sage. AKA, a pretty smart dude.
