I fully expect the combination of things not picked to result in the princess and/or empress somehow being assassinated by one of the POWs, tanking everyone's morale at the last possible moment.

It feels bad not to vote to save civilians here, but... when I look at this, this is the only option pair that I can see that actually opens a door to something actually changing versus doing all this again in ten years. If this is really how this is remembered by the Solar System, that means the story gets out this way into the Divine Empire. It's a crack in the myth that the Divine Empire is building about itself and the war. Not much, but it's at least a start.

IDK...TBH I'm really tempted to pick Gaurd, if only so the black woman lives for once (old joke, but a joke I think needs to be able to be said freely.) and I'm a bit of a sucker for 'lead from the front' types to boot, but uhh.
