Where's Faith is def a big one for me, especially since we are taking the role of mayor and going down a darker path.

The watchers council of course

Then there's what's going on with Angel

I wouldn't mind looking more into the various sorceror clans. Maybe a "what does the supernatural side think of us" or "who are the political players that surround us" as well

Ok here is a write up let me know how it goes over
[] Who Watches the Watcher
Buffy today knew it was going to be a bad day. But when Bernard Crowley came to town asking to talk to her with Quentin Tavers also in town demanding a meeting she knew it was going be to be a bad day.

Ok I figure that these ark would be a choice of which opportunity to take. Bernard Crowley was a watcher renowned by the council but left it to raise his slayers son. He grew close to his slayer the same way Giles is to Buffy. Quentin travers represents the current form of the watchers council. The one were the council sees the slayer as a tool. Bernard would not agree with that at all and most likely want to help Buffy. The thing to remember is Quentin would have been one of the people to sign off on the team set after Faith.

The point of the ark is that both would like to help in Crowley case and "help" in Travers case. One would be in town to look for faith and the other would also be in town to look for faith but for different reasons. Something to also consider is that wolf ram and hart is there enemy and that the council for there ways did lead the fight against demons and other threats to humanity.

@DeAnno how is that for a write in?

So I think the main reason not to make her our priority is that Deanno says the winner might get flung onto center stage and have their stuff kick off. I don't want Faith waking up while the election is still on, so I won't be voting for her.

That is a good point. From Buffy's side this is the exact worst time for Faith to take center stage, especially with what little we do know about the plot. But on the other hand, this is a meta vote, it's not from Buffy's point of view. From the audience's view, this would be the perfect storm, of all her dealings with shady groups, the path we've paved to the election, and secretly dating Harmony... it feels like this is the most dramatic fitting moment for the Faith storyline to happen. It's a hard choice.

Ok waiting to hear back from OP but what do people think of my write in? The watcher council is a big organization opposed to wolfram and hart and fights for humanity. Yes they are pretentious assholes but they have resources and political power that Buffy can use. Mostly the money since eventually Buffy will have to break the treaty eventually. Also the council is not monolith they do have people who disagree with the heads of the council.

Why actually surprised me the most is that it took them so long to go after Faith. Usually the council handles problems like a rogue slayer in a more expedite manner.

Obviously I'm waiting to see if Deanno has different plans for the Council but I like the general thrust of it. Currently I will be voting for the council and investigating our new powers. I have no idea when we will get another chance for that after all.

In general, you shouldn't expect that level of detailed control from this type of vote, but something similar to this should work in this instance. Specifically I'm not currently familiar with Crowley as a character (apparently his one appearance was comics) and even Wood I haven't seen much of in a while and he has some various strangenesses around his backstory I've had my eye on ironing out. I'd have to think about how exactly a thread from there gets included. Travers is an easier piece to invoke, you have every reason to wonder about him specifically too. So if you did vote that Travers and Crowley would both show up and be adversarial with each other in some way but it'd be difficult to predict the details.

Ok what if I get ride of travers and have different members of the council show up? That you decide on. You know some OC you make?

The point I wanted Crowley is that I wanted to show someone who could lead a progressive faction of the council. How many people in the council would know how to use a computer or a cell phone. Also the whole not murdering slayers on there 18 birthday for funsies.

Generally, I'm interpreting your vote as a vote for the "Why has the council been radio silent?" mystery, stunting to have Travers and Crowley play a role. The council has a certain trajectory that it's on which is going to influence the greater part of what happens, and the individual characters you added are going to have smaller additional effects by just being involved. Even if you don't stunt in characters, Travers might still make an appearance (because he's connected to the council so strongly.) There also might be council OCs or other council members we've seen over the course of the series that show up.

You can definitely change the stunt to try to influence different characters, but you won't be able to force the council as a whole to be progressive by doing so. The progressive faction may or may not be ascendant right now compared to the usually dominant traditionalists; voting for the council would definitely let you find out more about that. Voting for the council at all activates them in a way that forces them into the plot, but you don't necessarily control what direction they're coming from.

Ok I will give these a try and find out what is going on with the council and why they have not taken "care " of Faith.

Faith is fundamentally less complicated than the council, at least in principle, so the objective of the vote is clear. And Faith, unlike the council, is not composed of multiple people, so a stunt accomplishes less there anyway.

I'm interested in finding out about Faith or what the Yeti is up to.
Faith brought center stage right before the election is one of the few things that could cost buffy the election. I am doing the council since they would have informing Buffy's power and actively searching for faith. I want to take a action that will try to check off on as many things as possible.

Trying to inlcude multiple "episode ideas" in one vote seems like it is stretching the intent of the vote.
I would like the council to set up shop in Sunnydale. While I get that some people would not well it's buffy city after the election. Other things to consider is that the council fighters demons and the undead. Are powerful to fight Wolfram and Hart, would know what is going on with Buffy, help track Faith ... etc.

Thats fair.

...so since I want the Council to stay the hell away, at least until we are no longer accepting bribes from WR&H, @DeAnno would this vote be okay? the intent is to advance or close off the Yeti storyline.

I would rather not have to deal with either Faith or The Watchers Council, until after the election.

If you want to learn about Buffy's powers you should vote for learning about her powers. Some votes might end up spilling into discovering other mysteries, but you can't predict if that will happen in advance.

[X] Learn about Buffy's powers
Since my watcher plan will not gain traction I really want to find out why is going on with Buffy.

Yeah, I want to find out what's up with that.
