[] "I am. Now let's see you grit those teeth."

You were serious. Even as this body of your crumbled and was breaking off the seams, you kept on walking towards her. Grief spilled from your flesh as purple lines snaked across your skin. Ayana grimaced as she let go of her weapon and clenched her own fists as she met your gaze. Her gray hair swayed as she moved to meet you in the road.

"I am. Now let's see you grit those teeth," you declared as you narrowed your gaze.

You kicked off the ground with your bare feet as you darted straight for Ayana. However unlike your past encounters with her, she had learned to take your punch. Catching your fist within her palm, you both exchanged gazes where she raised her leg to kick you as you pulled away. Leaning back, you sprung forward and blocked her jabs before redirecting her hook to palm her face. Ayana defended against your strike and pushed you away. Catching yourself, you raised your leg just as she did the same, forcing your limbs to collide hard enough to release a shockwave which snuffed out the flames.

You were knocked down to your knees as Ayana's Soul Gem glittered silver in response to your blow. Her body was filled with magic before she swept the air with her arm. You let out a shaky breath as you held up your fists.

"I'll show you what it truly means to be a Named, Yukina," Ayana declared as she got into a stance, "I'm bringing you back."

"I won't come quietly if that's what you're asking," you told her with a narrowed look as your flesh had glowing purple lines. They snaked through your arms and Witch Runes and oozed grief from within.

"Whatever," Ayana breathed before she moved, the symbol of yin and yang filling the ground beneath her. She was pushed by an unseen force to which she managed to land a blow on your guard.

Ayana raised her leg before breaking down your block with her chop. You redirected her thrust before grabbing her arm to swing her into a car. She slammed into it hard before you stepped on her back to jump up. She turned to see your heel come down and smash her skull. You dashed back as she was forced to kneel. It was only then she reached out to grab your jacket before striking your chest so hard you smashed into a van. Blood left your lips as you let out a shaky breath.

You stood back up and clenched your fists as you faced her.

"Give up," Ayana growled as she narrowed her gaze on you, "Please... Just let us protect you."

"You're going to have to work for it," you spat blood on the ground. You staggered forward and got ready as you held up your fists, "And I promise you, I'm not going down easy. So take your best shot..."

VS
DISCIPLE OF BLUE: THE QUEEN'S NORTH STAR
AYANA HOSHI

Ayana smiled as she shook her head, "You never truly did make things easy for me. Not when you were alive and even when you're dead. You're the worst mentor anyone could ever ask for. Fine then... We're going home. And I'll drag you back kicking and screaming if I have to... Buddy."

Magic erupted all around you as the scenery changed. You were no longer standing in the ruined highway you had fallen into but a field of grass. It seemed that only you had been dragged into this illusory space. The moon was different, it was split into black and white as it hovered behind a bank of clouds. You watched Ayana as she stood before you under the light of a bright blue star behind her back. Her green eyes flared with power as her Soul Gem threatened to snuff out the corruption which escaped your flesh.

Bright and all burning, but at the same time tranquil and peaceful, this world was a reflection taken from the depths of her Soul. The Blue Star which shined overhead represented the light which guided her way since the very beginning of her time as a Magical Girl. And now she was going to use the same light to deliver upon you her will. You stood before her not as an enemy but as a target, one she merely had to disable.

There will be no blood shed in these fields but merely a clash of wills and wishes.

For Ayana, it was to safeguard the relics of her past.

For you, it was to break free of night and soar into the future.

You've come far from the girl living in a glass tube, helpless and naive to the world. You've come far and you want to prove to her that you can leave. You can do as you pleased. The time for protection is over as you seek to follow your own path. Ayana and Kaguya will not understand it through words, in fact no one ever understood you by merely listening to your words.

It was always your actions which drove you forward, which allowed people to see you for what you were.

And as such it was only right that it was by your actions that you will triumph.

No matter what happens.

Never play mind games with us. We win.

Whichever seed we use here is liable to be locked out afterwards due to our current state. We should choose carefully.

[X] Use Angela's flames to deal damage over time as you engage Ayana in melee. Burn her as she gets close!

May as well lock the least versatile power.

[x] Utilize Olga's gears' flexibility on range and fight from a distance, don't get close!

We don't know anything about Ayana's abilities in the people of interest page, but thus far she seems to be a close-in martial artist type.

So we fight at range and keep her away.

Ayana moved the same time you did, dashing to opposite sides as you summoned your gears to throw at her. She dodged and weaved through your projectiles before you turned to jump and summon a colossal gear straight down at her. Ayana saw this and was quick to thrust her palm straight into it, sending a blow through the Gear's entire structure and breaking it apart.

You shot through the Gear's form and delivered a kick which missed as Ayana sidestepped it. She turned to strike your back with a kick but you used Tatyana's power to launch yourself into the air. You swept your hand before you as Gears erupted from numerous gates behind you to rain down on Ayana.

She defended admirably by raising her own barrier, her magical output being strong enough to hold out against your storm of gears. Landing back on the ground, you slammed your palm on the dirt as two gears appeared on either side of you.

"Spin!" You roared as the gears spun faster and faster until they started to kick up wind and earth around you.

They were launched straight at Ayana whom moved to jump over them, the gears kicked off the ground to go straight up and catch her by surprise. She twisted in mid-air to swing her Naginata at them as she summoned it to her hands, she grit her teeth as both gears fought bsck, only to crack her weapon and shatter it.

Ayana was blown to the side where she landed on her feet as you fired one gear after the other. Ayana clapped her hands as oriental blades answered her call to fall from behind her, breaking your gears as you dashed to the side.

"I am the Blue Queen's Spear! Rise my Army and maul my adversary!" Ayana roared as the blades which fell manifested wielders. Her Soul Gem gleamed as artificial constructs wielded the swords she summoned. There were dozens of them, only to multiply to at least a hundred soldiers rising one by one. Ayana sat upon a General's seat as she rested her hand on her fist, raising her arm to point at you, "Battalion of Blades!"

The Army before you roared in response before they all charged at you. You grit your teeth as you customized your gears within your mind. Lower quality, higher quantity, maximum firing rate and numerous launch points, you held on as the horde of constructs attacked you.

Standing your ground, you had gates appear while rainbow flames danced within your vision. You drew from your seeds and felt the painful tug of Olga's seed before you released it. Gears were fired at a machine-like rate. Soaring through the battlefield at least 500 meters away from you to smash into the first soldier. You fired and fired, the sound of gears striking your foes as Ayana had her army charge for her.

The Queen's Guard, Ayana being their general.

The amount of soldiers were endless as you carved through them with your gears but you could feel it, you could feel the seeds inside you burn, yearning for freedom as you endured. Grief escaped your flesh as you glared and summoned your gates to launch more gears. That simply mowed down the approaching constructs, shattering them as if they were vases.

You stopped as you ended up overheating, falling down to your knees as you grunted. You looked to see that the Army was fast approaching you from the front, swords raised to strike you down but you simply got up.

"I refuse your choices made for me!" You roared as you moved to charge as well.

You pushed Olga's seed further and felt it burn, it was like a metal ball inside your body had chosen to burn as hot as the sun. You gasped in pain as Olga Sethiss was on the cusp of freedom but you held back, summoning a colossal gear to spin and send towards the army which was charging straight at you. You crushed frontliners as the gear disappeared.

You'll fight.

Running forward, you ran towards her, towards Ayana as she sat where she was. Picking up a sword, you soon came in contact with the first soldier and cut it down. Taking a second sword, you spun and severed the bodies of two more. You fired a gear at another before you found yourself surrounded. You cut through, cleaving through blade and body as the moon shined down on you.

You shattered heads with your heels, crushed torsos with your cleaves, struck chests with your fist as you unleashed your magic upon the army. You cut and fought through the horde of constructs which tried to overwhelm you. You smashed through them as they attacked.

They bounced off Nacht's defenses but there are times they got lucky. Your body was being worn down as you lifted one of them up to throw at the others, kicking a sword up so you could jam it into the face of and there.

A blade got lucky and struck your leg but you smashed the assailant soon enough. You crushed and defeated what could only be several dozen of the army as you advanced. Blades and arrow fell as you weaved and defended, but you didn't come out unscathed as Ayana merely sent more of her constructs.

An unwavering army loyal to their general.

You fought through them and used your powers to your best abilities without going overboard. If only you had more reserves for corruption, if only you were at full strength you felt you had a chance.

Ayana simply watched you as her army did the work for her.

Blocking a spear, you parried it up and wrenched it out the hands of its wielder. Smashing it's head open, you spun it to jam the point through the chest of another. You slashed through the bodies of six more before you threw it through the heads of eight more constructs.

An axe fell behind you as you turned to dodge it, punching through the chest of the soldier and breaking it's body. The axe was picked up and sent flying for the legs of soldiers surrounding you.

You fought.

Clapping your hands together, you created gears which spun around you. Your body cracked as you pushed it to its limits. They spread out into a ring and created a wide clearing for you to catch your breath as your gaze fell on Ayana.

You moved and charged straight through several soldiers, jumping up and landing on one. You used the construct as a platform before you loomed over Ayana as she looked up at you. Several launch points appeared behind you as you raised your hand.

"Fire!" You commanded as Olga's seed burned, a half of gears fell on her then, only for a swarm of soldiers to rush in and protect her.

Their bodies broke as your gears burst through them, only for a flash of silver to erupt from behind them. An arrow flashed and pierced your side.

You fell from the sky as Ayana lowered the long bow she held and looked down on you. Stepping down from where her chair was located, she walked to where you fell as her soldiers surrounded you at spear point. Ayana stood before you in her full oriental armor over her magical girl outfit, one befitting of a general of the Sengoku period.

She pulled back her hood and spoke, her green eyes falling in you, "No matter what you did, it didn't matter. This was the only outcome."

You grit your teeth as your wound healed slower than ever. You gasped hard from the pain as Ayana looked at you with pity in her eyes.

"I..." You rasped as you tried to get up.

You fell flat on your back as you grit your teeth. More lines of purple crawled up your skin as your seeds threatened to hatch all at once.

"You lose, Buddy," Ayana declared as she held out her hand towards you.

"You're right... But it's better to try than do nothing," you breathed as you stared at the moon, "It's better to make attempts, than just sit there and do nothing. Tell me, Ayana. Have you tried? Have you tried... Moving on?"

Ayana winced at that before pulling her hand back, "I... Come on, we need to patch you up-"

"I want to see Yuri," you murmured as you managed a small smile, "And I... Will live. I promised that I will live. And I will live... Not under your terms or anyone else's..."

Ayana stared at you as she watched you rise to your feet, "Yukina..."

"I will live. I will fight. I won't stop now or ever. I will find Yuri and keep her safe. Only then I can die," you growled as your red eyes turned purple, the grief from your body tainting the grass beneath you, "I'm done... Having people decide for me what to do. I'm done. I'm sick of it!"

"So you choose to fight? Yukina, look at yourself. What can you do by yourself?!" Ayana asked as she stepped back.

The soldiers around you primed themselves as they readied their weapons.

You let out a breathed as you held your hand over your heart, "I..."
