Wait, I don't understand this. Homura was supposed to have the strength to stop Walpurgis' creation, right? ... but isn't that us? Aren't we the shape that Walpurgis is taking in this timeline? At least Homura thought so, I thought? Or does Homura have other wishes ongoing that require her to "defeat Walpurgis" or something? Since Homura can no longer prevent the creation of Walpurgisnacht, wouldn't her timeloop have triggered? Or is it only when Madoka dies? Or is she wrong and we don't match the qualifications?

It's the classic 'by trying to avert the future you create the future' thing. Basically, she was wished even further back than normal so that she could stop walpurgis before walpurgis comes into existence, but because of the way Madoka worded the wish, the wish in turn compels Homura to see it through.

Since Homura was sent back to before Walpurgis, but was also wish-compelled to kill walpurgis, she needs to create the circumstances that lead to Walpurgis creation first.

In other word, before Homura got involved, Walpurgis would never have come into being in this timeline in the first place.

She doesn't know this of course. She just kills whatever the Wish tells her is involved in Walpurgis' creation. Unfortunately the wish doesn't compel her to self terminate.

A Wish might change things, or it might just set the stage for Walpurgisnacht.

...If we crush our seeds, that would stop it for certain, but I'm not sure we can afford to do that while Yuri's alive and needs us.

We need to stop this somehow. Yukina chose to die for this, and we really don't want to become a city-destroying Mass Murderer.

Of course not, if she did know this, she'd probably have tried to kill herself immediately. It's a literal genie twisting the wish in one of the worst possible ways.

Tragic to be sure.

What we need to do now is make sure that we can avert Walpurgis' creation as she knows it. If we can at least make it so that the witch that will one day destroy Mitakihara does not come into being, it may have been worth it.

At the very least, it could help to ease the suffering Homura went through.

And one for our girl herself. Could also wish to have Yukina's soul gem/grief seed brought to us. Or wish her body could take the consent strain all her grief puts on it.

Should do a bit of wish crafting.

    You felt determined. Now more than ever, you felt that you should be doing something. It was frustrating sure but to push onward, you needed strength. A fire had been lit within you unlike anything you felt before. Even in the face of this collapse, you couldn't help but stand up again.

    Nacht must have noticed this too because she didn't wait for your answer. She stretched her arms and sighed as she placed her hands on her hips.

    "I knew that you wouldn't settle for just sitting down. Looks may be deceiving but you're quite the slave driver," Nacht said as she glanced your way, "Still be careful when you use us. We're still Witches after all. Once outside of your body, we'll be different from when we're here."

    You nodded as you sat on your chair to see a swirling storm in the distance. A storm of darkness which threatened to consume the barren wasteland you and your witches resided in. It was coming and you and Nacht were staring into it as it crawled towards you all.

    "Being here now, I realized that there's more to things than what I'm seeing," you admitted as you got up the chair and stared down the darkness, "Things aren't what they always seem to be, people are different than what our first impressions may say and everyone has a story behind their actions. Looking back to all my battles I realize that there's more to what I am too."

    "Is that so?" Nacht yawned as she scratched her head.

    "I'm more than just someone fighting because I was told to or ordered," you said as you met her gaze, "I'm more than the Doll that I am."

    "So what is it that you want to do with what time you have left?" The Witch asked as she smiled your way.

    "I want to save Yuri," you replied with a determined look.

    Nacht smiled at that as you held your ground. The darkness was approaching. This was the EndGame now.

    You're filled with Determination.

    You woke up.

    Strapped into a bed, you blinked and looked at the restraints of light keeping you down. Your body was still in the middle of collapsing. Grief left your flesh as an entire cloud of it seemed to be hanging overhead right on your ceiling.

    You were in a hospital gown but it seemed haphazardly put on. You could only sense the toxic grief which escaped your body and the restraints which held you down. You grunted under your breath before you blinked to see someone standing nearby.

    "There, there. It's all going to be fine," Kaguya said as she stood beside you.

    "What... Why..?" You asked her in a confused tone.

    "Your body hasn't been able to adapt to being overused. You were restrained in the event you went berserk," Kaguya said as she placed her lone hand on your shoulder, "You're breaking apart."

    "I know," you breathed as you closed your eyes, "I don't have much time left. Where's Yuri?"

    "We're still looking for her," Kaguya replied with a grim tone, "Too many things happened but you should rest first-"

    "Perhaps you didn't hear me before... I don't have much time left," you rasped as you met her gaze, "I need to find Yuri. Now."

    "But you're still under observation. Your corruption levels are too severe to let you wander around," Kaguya told you as she kept her hand on your shoulder, "Please, you need to rest."

    "Yuri's... The only one who can fix me," you breathed as you glared at the girl before you, "Please... Just let me go."

    Kaguya grimaced as she stepped back, "I did once. Back then I let go of one Yukina to her do as she pleased. But now... I won't make the same mistake."

    The leader of the Kyoto faction turned to walk out the door.

    "Please rest," she said as she shut the door as she went out.

    The door shut behind her as you were left with your restraints. You could feel your flesh burning slightly from the grief which seeped through the cracks. You endured the sharp pain as you rested your head on your bed.

    Unstable.

    You sighed as you closed your eyes. You can't stay here. You needed to go... But as you were now, the metaphor of you being a ticking timebomb was more true than ever. It's surprising that you even had seven days in your state.

    You stared at the ceiling... You had to do something...

    Well, we can't fight our way out, and we've got way to much grief to release. My gut reaction would be to wish, but again with that much grief we might witch anyway. Hmm... Resting might be our only option, but that's pretty much just waiting to die.
