The biggest issue with making the watch, is that while you have the raw materials, you don't have any of the intermediate goods. No springs, no glass, no gears, just metal.
The first few hours are spent simply planning the structure of the watch. Time in Creation is recorded differently, and the days are longer by an hour. Twenty five hours instead of twenty four means all the gear ratios are going to need to be different, since the minute and hour hands will need to sweep out a smaller fraction of the watch's surface.
This actually takes up more time than you were planning, it takes you almost six hours to sketch out the final design of the watch. But you do finish, and it is time to begin. You head over to Faceted Opal's place and ask to use his forge once again.
"Accord?" He asks as he opens the door. "What brings you here during Calibration?"
"I want to use your forge for a pet project if you'll let me."
He just stares at you, "You do know this calibration is a week of rest, right?"
"I find it relaxing to make timepieces." You say.
He shakes his head, "Alright, if you say so. Permission granted."
"Thank you."
And with that it's simplicity itself to make the watch.
+2xp for making a timepiece. You will not receive any more xp for building timepieces.
As you admire the timepiece you have made, you consider what to do with the remaining four days of calibration.
