The Restless Dead Want YOU To Fight Necromancy

[X] Offer to heal him.

Doubt Finn is comfortable enough with us for a blood bond. We have a perfectly valid alternative, anyway.

[X]Write-in: Offer him the choice of a blood bond or healing.

It takes four years of undergrad, three to five years of medical school, and at least three years of residency to produce a trained surgeon. And with the current state of affairs, that pipeline has been interrupted.

With the humans Morgan is gathering, a trained surgeon is valuable, both to their little community, and the greater countryside.
And the fact that he's still working here after getting bitten by a zombie does point to a certain vocation with regards to the care of the sick and injured, which helps with the whole screening process.

Even if Morgan don't intend to turn him into a vampire eventually, simply bonding him improves his survivability.

Imagine him as a vampire doctor, though. Never dies of old age, so he can gain knowledge and experience forever, and has a heart of gold, too!

[X] Offer him healing.
-[X] In addition, offer him a bed. Magic doesn't generally solve the requirement of sleep.
-[X] Also, if he's interested, let him know that you have a more permanent solution to the zombie bite issue, but it's a binding type of thing, and we realize that he might not be entirely comfortable with that with the violence we did to him before.

Best of all worlds and sets up the question of blood bonding so he can think about it.

Maybe he takes the bond and maybe he doesn't, but the offer and an alternative are both out there.

How much will it cost Morgan to heal him?

I mean, I don't know why I'm asking the cost because Morgan is going to offer anyway, because they're Morgan. Just to remind us to think about the cost, I guess. :D

"Hmmmm. Becoming an unaging undead person, so that I can practice my work for as long as I wish, the only downside being pale skin and needing some blood, OR... being healed and going on with my life. Tough choice."

[X] Offer to heal him.
-[X] Explain any disadvantages or side effects that vampiric healing may have on him.

Since this isn't an emergency situation, no reason not to explain before Morgan takes action.

I think Dr Finn will react badly to even the mention of a blood bond and I don't feel like Morgan needs more of Finn looking at them Like That. So I don't even want to bring it up, it'll just upset Finn and then Morgan by extension. :(

I don't think our house *has* any extra beds right now.

1 for a minor ritual and about an hour.

Also you do have one spare bed left. Morgan checked.

Eh? Vote change. Morgan clearly likes him, and Morgan *is* feeling kind of needy right now. Obviously there's no call to be pushy, but just to dangle the possibility in front of him?

I get the feeling that Morgan is feeling a bit greedy-for-people in this incarnation. "Clearly the answer to this conundrum is that I need a bigger house."

We have the seer/telepathy combo that makes it nontrivial to assassinate us or otherwise take us out with a single threat, because we'll just avoid them.

Just noting that it didn't warn us about the werewolf or hiding people in the building. Or Bruce. And this is before anti divination is used. I'm not trusting that combo very much.

interesting. people are gonna people, I guess, and it shouldn't come as a surprise that some of them are determined to go back to their homes. I do think we should keep Amy, or at least keep in touch.

This is a neat quest. I'm sad I have missed it until now.
No time like the present?

The telepathy totally warned us about the werewolf. That's how we knew he was there when he thought he was stalking us, and how we knew he wasn't going to attack. The hiding people in the building were covered by a ward, but as soon as the ward was breached, the telepathy let us know about them, too. Bruce was one of the aforementioned Vampire Hunters. That's just telepathy - one half of our combo. Thing is, we haven't been doing divination. We've been busy with other things. So, divination plus anti-divination would have us more secure and aware than what we've seen thus far in game. Also, someone deploying anti-divination against us assumes that they know we have divinatory powers. Admittedly, it might be best to not talk about that too much.
