Semper Ad Meliora (Code Geass/Britannian Royalty Quest)

Really, going for the main protag? honesty considering what's he like even if this AU made wish our character tear him apart.
Talley showed them at 18 vs 18 when I voted. I would have gone for Carine or Hannes but both of them have no chance winning, therefore I choose Lelouche. Personally I dislike her character and Euphemia lacks in far too many things to make her interesting for me. We would need to tear her character down and make something else out of her and if that is the goal then we could have just used an OC or gone for someone else.
Why not, we can destroy her innocent optimism.
As stated I dislike her and her stats are not to my liking. If we strip away everything that I dislike about her than we could have just played another character. I don´t want to cling to our older sister and be a charity case while coming across as the biggest saint to have walked the earth while my bank account is near endless.

I find it hilarious that I'm actually dreading playing as Lelouch. Mostly* since I know we're not as smart as he is, but we're gonna think we're fine if we play as him.

I also wonder if people are willing to play ruthless enough as him, or we're gonna get bogged down by white knighting. Euphie at least seems the most viable build to play the good guy. I know the SV community is capable of not being the white knight, but we default to that style unless active effort is taken.

* The rest is dread over the inevitable waifu war when Lelouch comes of age. At least with Euphie there's only Lelouch, Suzaku, and maybe a dark horse candidate added to the mix. Lelouch has at the very least Kallen, CC, and your pick of dark horse candidates from a pool of like 5 named girls with a canonical argument for a pairing. the additional OCs and characters that never appeared in the show will only expand the field for the war.

Waifu war really depends on lot of things. For instance will we even leave Brittania or will we go back to it.

Lelouch was skilled enough to be able to leave Brittania and build up black knights from nothing on his own all the while fighting Brittanias best like Cornelia or Schneizel, us on other hand? I kinda doubt that we could pull it out really.

If we chose to play Lelouch there is possibility of us playing in completely different setting butterflying most of canon characters with who we can be paired up.

Edit:

[X] Hannes gua Britannia: 26th in line for the throne, a child who has absolutely no business amounting to anything. Even more than the Vi Britannia children, this child is a black sheep who's only claim to power is being good at staying out of the way and being deeply inoffensive towards everyone she's met. Few enemies, but mostly because he's beneath their notice.

It probably won't win but i prefer Hannes since he kinda reminds me of little finger in GoT with his build.

Honestly, while I'd prefer Euphi for the novelty, Lelouch was my second choice, so I'm pretty happy about how the vote is going.

Lelouch without a Geass is like a cheap knock-off of the original. Not nearly enough reasons for fabulously dramatic posing.

Other than that, and going with a well-established character where we could instead explore a new one, I have no complaints about him winning.

[x] Euphemia li Britannia

I'd love to see how Slayer writes Prince!Lelouch. Personally, I very much hope he doesn't end up like the Galton's Children version of Lelouch.

Euphemia also has fairly deep personal relationships with some of the most powerful in the empire, in the form of Cornelia, Schneizel, Clovis, Lelouch, etc. Lelouch and Cornelia are especially vulnerable to Euphemia's emotional manipulation.

You do remember that acquiring simply moved Lelouch's time tables of destroying Britannia up rather than actually making it possible right? He was fully confident of being able to pull it off even without Geass, it would just take more time.

[X] Lelouch vi Britannia

Lelouch was written by people most Definitely not as smart as Lelouch. We can do it, though i imagine that the QM needs to give hints towards an optimal strategy to really play as Lelouch, since were even more limited since were only seeing it in Text form.

Um, the QM already gave some hints regarding how we should try and play Lelouch (but I assume that you want more hints...)

That said, I encourage players to to play to their PC's strengths. At least initially, the choice of PC will dictate what you're good at and where you can excel.

Examples:

Lelouch will be best used gathering information and developing tools/technology/strategies to see victory. He'll be a good character for small delicate (black) operations or building a tech empire.

...again, though, you've got time. There isn't a ticking clock in this quest. Unless something goes drastically wrong, Charles has another 20 years on him before health concerns start settling in. On the other hand, while becoming Emperor/Empress is the ideal outcome for eventual plans, it's not absolutely necessary depending on how the quest goes. Lots of possibilities to advance your interests as the PC.

CAPITALISM HO!

Not somewhere I can run a tally right now, but I see Lelouch leading at 7 votes, if my math is right.

If he can maintain that lead, I'll call the vote after I get home from work in five hours or so.

We'll see how things look at that point, but I believe we're in the home stretch.

Unless the SV vote tally is bad, Lelouch only leads by 3. I think some people have switched from him to Euphie.

Hmm... swap votes, the enemy of an eyeball tally.

We'll see how things look later, then. A three/four vote lead isn't enough to comfortably call it yet, in my opinion.

Well well. So Slayer came up with something new.

CC: Regrettably, Trollouche is still incapacitated so he can't comment. But as much as you're all dreading the possibility of failing to live up to his potential?

CC: *winks* May I suggest that you're setting yourselves up for failure and just embrace being ruthless?

CC: Alternatively, ask Author-kun and the rest of us for help.
