Victoria is a Charming sixteen year old who could wrap most adult around her finger with just the right words and smiles and whose grandfather in his duties to the Starforce took him across the Vasudan Grand Duchy. Already at young age, Victoria has the eye and pulse on fashion, and is more trusted to dress herself then her servants whose job is it to pick out her outfits. As a result of spending so much time in space tagging along with her Grandfather, she has a wide network of fans of the new imperial royal who no doubt in the future will be chuffed when she arrives to ask them a favor.

----Glossary----
Empire: The Phoenix Empire is the oldest of the three major powers of the galaxy. It has seen many ups and down during its five thousand years of history. A massive sprawling Empire, it is feudalistic state as a result of the aftermath of the great Crisis it had during the Third Millennium
Starforge: The archeaotech hulk of the Great Ark (one of three) that brought the first human colonists to this galaxy, now since turned into wormhole factory
Starways: A complex series of connecting tunnels that are formed by major gravity wells in resonance to each other, allowing for quick travel between the stars.
Luxor: The capital planet of the Empire
Wall: The series of Autoforts built in the aftermath of the great Rifter incursions, two thousand years ago
The LIne: The two narrow starways passages that are the only economical and practical way to enter either Imperial space or Jardin, heavily fortified and constantly fought over, they are graveyards of fleets and home to massive fortifications
Jardin: The second of the greatest powers of the galaxy, the République Jardin is large interstellar republic, though no without its trouble of internal corruption and the stresses caused by the never ending war with the Empire.
Drive: Reactionless drives standard for space use the past seven millennia
Drive Kernals: The advance supercomputer plus mechanisms that allow for the local warping of spacetime to create a drive field
Guilter: Jean-Baptiste Guilter, Admiral of the 7th Fleet, universally considered by friends and foe the greatest living military mind alive, it was his leadership that took the last major flare up of the war from a cataclysmic defeat for the Republic to near invasion of Imperial space proper, only stopped at tremendous cost of lives and ships and timely reinforcement from the Starforce at the battle of Passerelle.
Blue Line: The smaller of the two passages between the Empire and the Republic.
Krill: A small march of worlds that was settled to cover a possible Rifter passage past the Wall as settlement on both sides side expanded.
Bastion: The fortress system and the hub of the wormhole network. The wormholes connecting the various frontiers of the Empire route through this system and it is the official home of the Imperial Navy. An uninhabited system it is filled with bounty of rich asteroid fields and rocky planets and moons for mining, and is also one of the primer shipyards systems of known space as well.
Black Brethren: Infamous loose alliance of pirates who are based across known space, but homebase out of the Rift. Often hideous cyborgs and rumored to employ even forbidden AIs, they are scourge of the starways and implacable enemy against the major powers of the galaxy.
Backroads: Unstable and unsafe starways that the Black Brethren pirates use. It has been arms race between the Republic and the Empire to try and make these routes safer for proper military travel to bypass the bottleneck on the Lines.
Taboo: When capitalized it means the galaxy wide standard revulsion and rejection of use of Artificial Intelligence to their full capabilities. The exodus to this galaxy was caused by AI, though the stories of that conflict or crisis are lost to the mists of time, but its testament to the scars to the human race that its never been breached by a major power in the galaxy.
Knights of the Seventh Seal: A "holy" order of independent knights based around their traditional battle-fortress in Luxor orbit, an elite collection of third sons of nobility. Directly reports and swears loyalty to the Empire, is one of the constellation of independent knighthoods in orbit that had helps maintains the Imperial family's hegemony over the feudal lords. Often derisively referred to as the Imperial Guard with Starforce quality. The Seventh Seals knights are known to very blunt instruments.
Marshal's Colony: A world within the Grand Duchy of Starholm, sitting on important starway nexus it has been home to a cadet branch of the ruling Revilla clan, but erupted into insurgency against Earl Jostic zel-Revilla.
Angel Sariathel: the legendary and most holy figure of the Church of the Phoenix, an Angel set by God to lead His People across the intergalactic void to escape the Abominable Intelligence that took over the Milky Way
La'Vienne: The La'Vienne clan is a Jardini clan that controls La'Vienne Interstellar a mega-corporation that dates back to before the founding of the modern Republic and instrumental in ship building and the arcane art of drive kernel design. 90% of all vessels have drives based on LaVi (as its common called) pattern drives. Powerful politically in the Republic, its been a voice for peace between the Empire and the Republic and has extensive interests in the Free Star League
Le'Reinne: The ruling political dynasty of the Republic of Jardin, through massive political machine built up over centuries, the last two centuries has been under the shadowy thumb of the Le'Reinne. While the Presidency of the Republic is not a Le'Reinne, the all important First Minister Spot, the High Admiral, and several other positions within the National Assembly is controlled by them or their clients.
