Legends of Gotham






Gotham City. The name itself congers up pictures of old buildings and even older families. It is home to Corruption, crime, and murder, all driven by madness and greed. The collective nightmares of Dickens, Kafka and Poe would make an accurate, if toned down blueprint of the city and if you believe Howard Philip Lovecraft who spent a week at Arkham Asylum that is exactly what happened. Certainly, Dream has noted that his domain tends to leak into the city, symbols and stories and gods floating around waiting to get caught in someone's head. This might explain the ever-repeating nature of the city, how it reflects itself throughout the multiverse. There are many iterations of Gotham, a kaleidoscope of darkness, both identical and wildly different. And every iteration of Gotham has its champions, those who resolve to lift the city up… or drag it further down into madness and corruption. You will be one of those champions. The city will know you, whether it knows your name or not.

Qm's note: I have been recently reading both Open_Sketchbooks What's Up Danger and SeptimusMagisto's Gotham White Night and they have both inspired me to write this. Note this is probably going to be heavily AU with your chosen Also, I am already running a quest over in Space Battles, so bear that in mind. Kind of needed to do the write-in seeing how vast Batman's supporting cast is. As for characters from other franchises (or other comics) and OC's they are allowed but will be written as if they exist in the DC universe and live in Gotham. No drop-ins. Hope you enjoy this.

Then you haven't seen SeptimusMagisto's Gotham's White Night as that's all about playing as Batman.
