I can't trust this fuck, hes going to fuck us in the back, I JUST KNOW IT. But he has crazy strong troops in his nation, I still just want to bug out.
 
By the way, if you fight now, you will face 8 Hunters and 3 Fanatics, though since you are surrounded and badly outnumbered, your archers wouldn't get the luxury of hanging back in the second row this time.
 
Frankly at this point I don't care what happens. I just want the Sowing People to pay. So I don't mind if the Makarites try to rig the bet. So long as we hit that village hard.

Also @Azel, I dub the Chosen we're dealing with Azel!lite.
 
So he wasn't bluffing about the troops, but 3 fanatics don't sound THAT bad, the Hunters are easy peasy in comparison to. But we have a terrain malus.

Do we have any data regarding the troops in the Sowing People village?

I mean, they got informed there about us, so they must know something about the amount of people there.

Your only source of information was Broken-Shell, so you have no real idea. Though Sparrow would hazard a guess that they are either drawing troops together in Goldenfields to strike at Little River or splitting the gathering between Goldenfields and Great Hearth. The Chosen didn't sound as if he saw a great army gathering at Great Hearth.

That would carry a significant risk of them being charged and someone dying. Also, Great Hearth has a palisade, so the chances of no one of them dying if they are close enough to actually help are pretty slim.

@Azel, when we attack Great Hearth, can we make a point of burning down every single bit of their infrastructure before we leave, along with the surrounding forest so they can't rebuild?

More seriously, I like this guy. He's offering fair terms given our introduction, and he's giving us a shot at revenge. At least we'll get that much while our civ burns in the background.

We might be able to come up with some ideas. Maybe use them as a distraction or have us as bait so they can ambush from behind. I don't know.

Is anyone going to make a negaverse omake after this? Can we have it as an official interlude from Azel?

Your civ isn't incompetent. Your just not seeing the cavalcades of fuck-ups the other people have to deal with, since most of them either die off for it or got enslaved by the River People in their moment of trouble.

Goldenfields is on no less then it's third stock of inhabitants by now, the first one dying to a flood, the second enslaved by Makar and the current bunch being a nomad tribe that Brushcrest bribed to settle there.

No, I'd say we're pretty dumb. Believing Brushcrest wouldn't betray us as we fight a war on their behalf was a crowning example.

Were that the people our scouts saw there, who couldn't properly agriculture and were just kinda living from the fields around them?

I would say the Sowing People send us here to kill Makarites, that is in my opinion something an enemy of the Makarites would do.
