Part 1: Welcome Kamui Tanaka
Saturday 4/9/20XX
You put your phone in your pocket and walked through the crowd of people towards the exit of the station. Shuffling in your pockets, you pulled out the Photograph the nice lady from the social services gave you.
After the last year of the shouting and the ignoring glares, it was nice to know at least someone gave a damn about you. Even if it was their job to care.
Hopefully, this time everything would be better.
After all, this family looked like it was actually functional, which was more than you could say about the last two families who took you in.
Basterds. You quickly pushed the memories to the back of your mind, looking to the photo.
The man in the photograph was a tall man in a police uniform, thin, but very muscular. He wore a police uniform for the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Force. His hair was grey, almost quicksilver in color, his eyes strikingly red, and a smile adorned on his face. To his side were two girls, one a woman older than you on the left, and the other younger, in middle school you had to guess on the right. Jiro Nijima
The older girl, the one on the left, wore a high school uniform of Shujin Academy, but looking at the timestamp on the photo was from last year, so she must be in college by now if she wasn't already working. She had silvery grey hair like her father, and she wasn't too bad to look at… if not for her stern gaze at the camera which sent shivers down your spine. She was Sae.
The younger girl's smile, however, was so cute, that you had to restrain yourself from speaking out loud about how cute she looked. She had red eyes like her father and brown hair, presumably from her mother. She was Makoto.
They would be the ones picking you up today and take you to their home.
This time would be different.
Because there really isn't any way your life could get any worse.

Thankfully, your luggage, all three bags of your belongings, along with your backpack, was easy to get to, and you rolled them around with you.
Looking around, you finally spotted the man who was taking you into your family.
Jiro Nijima was not wearing his police uniform, instead, he was wearing a short sleeve grey button-up shirt, and a pair of jeans. He was holding a sign that had your name on it, and as he noticed you, he gave a quick smile.
To his side was each of his daughters.
Sae had her arms folded, and she wore an all-black business suit, the only thing that made her different from a government worker was the turtle neck, and the tennis shoes she wore.
She beamed at you with a stern, but somehow caring gaze. It was unsettling.
Makoto, however, gave a smile that made you feel warm and fuzzy. She was wearing her elementary school uniform and it somehow added to her cuteness.
You walked forward. "Niijima-Sama." You said quietly and gave a quick bow.
Jiro nodded his face with a warm grin. "I see you got here safely."
"I have." you turned to face Sae. "Hello, Sae." You held out a hand. "It's nice to meet you."
She nodded, acknowledging your existence, but said nothing else, and did not accept your handshake.
You turned to face Makoto. "Hello, Makoto." You held out your hand to her. "It's nice to meet you."
Makoto did shake your hand. "Hello, Kamui."
After she let go, Jiro spoke. "Sae, help him with his belongings."
Sae nodded. "Yes, father." She then took two of your bags away.
Jiro smiled. "Alright, let's go home."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Apartment of the Niijima family was very large for a Tokyo Apartment. It had two bedrooms in it, a large bathroom, with shower and bath, a fully stocked kitchen and dining room for 4, a living room with a brand new big flatscreen TV, and a Rokojo, where you would assume you would be sleeping.
You remove your shoes and put them next to the others. Staring in wonder of the apartment. "This is huge." You stated, before looking to Jiro. "How can you afford all this?"
Jiro took a deep breath, clearly not happy with the question. The two girls did not like the question either, as they both looked visibly shaken.
"It doesn't matter how." He stated. "It's your home now."
You were then escorted to a room by the balcony. It was the rokojo, with a Futon on the floor, along with a desk with books, and a male school uniform for Shujin Academy. "You'll be sleeping here. So get all your stuff organized, then we'll eat dinner."
Everyone gathered in the Dining room, and Jiro removed some pre-cooked sushi from the refrigerator.
The Chopsticks were handed out by Makoto.
"So Kamui, tell me about yourself," Jiro asked.
"Excuse me?" You asked, clearly not understanding the question.
"I just want to know about the man who will be joining us. What are your dreams? What do you hope you can become in the future?"
You shook your head. "Why should I care about that? I've never had a future that anyone cared about."
Makoto than blurted out. "Because it makes you special! I wanna be a police officer like Daddy!" She then pointed at Sae. "And She wants to be a lawyer so that the good guys are protected and the bad guys go to jail!"
For a moment, you thought you saw Sae crack a smile, while Jiro laughed and gave his youngest a hug.
