You are a standard hikkikomori NEET; a recluse, spending barely any time out of the house, and instead you spend the time wasting away your days. Your typical day consists of waking up, gaming, surfing the internet, and sleeping. You have nothing special about yourself - no superpowers, nothing outstanding or unique - certainly nothing that would make you worthy of being the protagonist of a Quest.

You're bored. No, perhaps you are disgusted with yourself for creating such a boring life for yourself. You want to be successful. You want to be happy. You want to change.

In a flash of both inspiration and utter insanity, you concoct a plan to allow...certain otherworldly beings to influence your life for the better, or so you hope. With a mix of hesitation, curiosity and determination, you switch on your computer, and log in to SufficientVelocity.

[ ] What is your name?
[ ] Wat do first?

Hi guys, this is my first quest, and I'll try to do my best! Note that the QM PC can and will veto certain actions, even if unanimously voted for, if the action is unreasonable or the PC's personality gets in the way. Votes will be weighted and biased to an unknown amount. Note that time in-quest will run 1:1with real time.

Disclaimer: Names, characters, businesses, places, events, locales, and incidents are either the products of the author's imagination or used in a fictitious manner. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental.
This is also most certainly not a meta self-insert quest.

Infinito would be a good name for someone desperate enough to let extra-dimensional observers puppet them. Unsure what options are available for them to follow up on...

Outside of anything illegal and stuff, basically anything is votable for. Your goal is to improve the lifestyle of the character. The PC will default to gaming and replying to questions on a recently-posted thread, otherwise.

[Start narrating your life. this is what the Protagonist does when the story starts, right?]
Great point, will try to do so more in the next post. Specific questions are far easier to respond to, though. Also, slowly revealing the Protagonist's life over time and actions probably makes for a better read than just giving it all out immediately
...butbut... what life?

Just think about it a little, shhhheelllllll-byyyy, oh it is undoubtedly a symphony of wondrous wording!

Family
You close your eyes and think of your family. Their faces are a blur and their voices forgotten.
Your father is a successful man who loves his job, and he spends his entire day at work and only comes home late at night, if he isn't overseas on yet another business trip for another few months. He loves you, you think, but you don't see enough to know.

Your mother is rarely home either, spending most of her day out with her friends or shopping for more ten-thousand dollar bags, but you prefer it that way. At home, her time is divided between being on Facebook on one of her numerous iPhones of every edition, drinking, mocking you for your worthlessness, beating the stupidity out of you, or all at once. She is, at best, a leech feasting off your father's tireless work.
You hate her.
Or you did, at least, before you just stopped caring and tuned her out of your mind and life.

You are a product of poor parenting, but you know that you are no better. You are the epitome of an unproductive member of society, after all, and can only truly blame yourself for that.

Oh, and you have a dog too, your only friend to stay with you through all your loneliness.

Learn knitting, become a master of the stitching art, look down upon the masses while weaving lattices of wool.

Either actually leave a room and learn how to enjoy nature or still be a nerd and hope to become a druid with magic :p.

[Q] Find Truck-kun so we can get isekai'd

We're a hikkiNEET, so obviously we must know about Truck-kun and the wonderful fantasy world that awaits us if we can only reach it. Actually having to work to improve our life is hard, so why bother when a higher power will just give us a fresh start in another world? We'll have it all! JRPG superpowers, a harem of hot fantasy girls lusting over us, and awesome adventures that will continue for as long as the LN author has a writing contract! What's not to love?

But no, realistically

If nothing else, basic exercise is something we can realistically do to improve ourselves, and it might even give us the energy and self-confidence we need to seek out other forms of self-improvement.

Well maybe one day that exercizing will turn into something great. Who knows. Makunouchi Ippo started as a bullied kid and in the end he won Japanese championship and ended up as a top world tier boxer. Now we need to make our hikkimori as a champion in any chosen sport which requires heavy physical effort :p.

We can do it, nothing will stop us!

I would prefer to turn him into another Bear Grylls, but this will do as a substitute, lol :p.

Exercise is really great it's something that you can do on a schedule improves health and feels satisfying to do. I'd suggest learn to cook as a follow up.

You decide to exercise to exercise for the first time in months today. You want to improve your health, and perhaps, the endorphins released after exercising our help to improve your mood. After making breakfast for yourself and changing up into some exercise gear, you head down, out of your house, and enter the gym. But you stop there, for you realised you haven't made any plans outside of the fact that you want to exercise.

Do you
[ ] Use the gym
[ ] Exercise outdoors instead
[ ] Give up and return home

How do you want to exercise?
[ ] Lie down, and exercise restraint from moving your body any further
[ ] Walk around for a few minutes
[ ] (not familiar with ways to exercise, write in how you want to exercise)
