P.S: Did Melissa has future sight or did she up her capabilities for short time?

-[X] "Professor Port called her specifically a true Huntress-in-training. A true Huntress shouldn't have been arguing with her teammates in the face of a hostile Grimm."

"I... was Port being sarcastic there?" you ask, "'we are indeed in the presence of a true Huntress-in-training'... because she blew off her team's attempt to help her as some sort of warning to the rest of us... on how not to act?"
"It's possible." Blake replies, not looking up from her book.
"Maybe she thought it was something to do alone?" Coral suggests, "I mean, Professor Port didn't exactly say if her team could help her from the sidelines or not... What do you think Weissy?"
"Coral..." Weiss frowns, "Please don't ever call me 'Weissy' again... As for your question, even though he didn't specify that outside assistance was allowed, he never stated that it was disallowed either. Though I do agree that the way it was set up made it seem like a trial to undertake alone."
"So... Would you have listened to us if you were down there instead?"
"It honestly would've depended on who was giving the advice... I would've probably listened more to Violet than either of you."
"M-Me...?" you question.
"Of course. You're the leader, and to be honest you haven't done anything enough for me to significantly doubt your competence yet..."
"That's... r-reassuring..."
"So the rest of us have done things to make you doubt our competence...?" Blake cocks an irritated eyebrow.
"Oh, no. Don't get me wrong. If not Violet, I probably would've listened to you. You seem to be one of the more mature and rational people on this team, after all... Coral, on the other hand, is a bit too much like Team RRAN's leader, to be honest..."
"How is that a bad thing?" Coral asks, "Ruby's a fun person."
"Because both of you are childish."
"And that's bad... why...?"
Weiss sighs, "Do I really need to spell it out for you...?"
"S-So uh... What did you all think of those moves Melinda was doing back there?" you hastily change the subject, "She was moving pretty quick."
"It looked like she was using a Semblance." Weiss answers, "Those glowing eyes were a dead giveaway."
"What do you think her Semblance is?" Coral asks, "Maybe future sight? It would be super cool if it was future sight!"
"That seems unlikely." says Blake, "She was reacting quicker than a normal person, perhaps it has something to do with reflexes or reaction time?"
"If that was the case, then why would her eyes be glowing?" Weiss frowns, "It has to be something to do with focus, otherwise she would've dodged that one hit when Jaune distracted her."
"It could simply be cosmetic... I'm pretty sure anyone would've taken a hit like that if they were distracted..."
The conversation is suddenly interrupted by Coral's stomach growling. Reminding everyone that you haven't had breakfast yet...

Not sure that Port's comments should necessarily be taken the same way as in the show. Aside from cheering, Ruby immediately points out to aim for the stomach. Jaune however faffs about waiting for Melinda to give a verbal affirmation that she heard him while she's fighting before giving advice he doesn't sound sure of himself. Bit of a difference there. After all, no ones going to recall "HEY, HEY LINK" fondly.

With unanimous agreement, you and your team make your way to the cafeteria for some breakfast.
After grabbing your tray, you begin to search for a table. You spot Teams JXMN and RRAN at one of the tables by the wall, with Melinda sitting as far from Jaune as possible while still remaining with her team. Yang seems to notice your group and waves at you, prompting Ruby to glance over and do the same.
"Hey! Over here!" she exclaims.
You lead your team over. Smiling as you approach.
"Hey." You greet as you take the vacant spot next to Ruby and diagonally from Melinda. The rest of the team follows suit with the spots to your right, with Weiss taking the spot that's furthest away from Ruby.
" 'Sup!" Yang grins, "So what did you think of that first class?"
"It was... interesting... It was a bit impressive how long that story was..."
"Wait, you mean you actually listened to it?"
"I-I mean I uh... took notes... Weiss was doing it too."
"So you only listened to that boring story because Scarface was listening to it?" Melinda cocks an eyebrow.
"I'm sitting right here you know..." Weiss frowns.
"Yeah, I know. I'm not blind." Melinda waves her off.
"N-No." you deny, "It's just that... I'm the leader... I-I have to set a good example, uh.. you know...?"
"Honestly I think that's bullshit, but whatever..." she rolls her eyes.
"O-Okay then..."
"So I have to ask." Coral butts in, "What's your Semblance, Melly? We were all trying to guess what it was on the way here."
"Why would I tell you?" Melinda frowns.
"Because we're friends!"
"Well that's not enough... We could still potentially be opponents in a sparring match one day, so I'm not just going to give you an advantage over me by telling you what my Semblance is..."
"But I could share mine with you and we can be even...!" Coral pouts.
"The answer is 'no'..."
