[X] Use Dominate Writing on the paper you copied.
[x] Vicious Rabbit Meat - 30 copper for 5 pounds.
[X] Go look for a place to eat with your Rabbit servant.

A hand quickly reaches into your pack to clasp the sheet of paper you had prepared, the bag blocking out the light from your ability even as the words begin to rapidly disappear from the page. In moments you begin to notice things that you hadn't before, signs of slightly improper care being taken of some of the meats here as well as some obvious (to the current you) aging on a few cuts of meat. It doesn't take long for you to decide on a specific portion of vicious rabbit meat for your pet to eat later and you quickly call over to the butcher to get the meat prepared for you.

Moments later you find yourself at the counter of the store, your voice clearly ringing through the store as you engage the butcher in a battle of wits to test out your newly gained boons. Amazingly you manage to knock off three coppers from the price of the meat, citing what seemed to be a dozen different reasons before the man finally caved and gave you a three copper discount. Satisfied with your purchase you pick up the brown paper parcel in front of you and cram it into your pack for later before heading out into the street once more.

You look around for an acceptable looking food cart and order several kebabs for yourself and the rabbit to consume coming out to a total of five coppers which seems rather cheap for the fistful of meat skewers. You toss three to the rabbit beside you and crouch down to finish off your own next to it, the furry creature ravenously tearing meat and vegetable free from the wooden skewer with a crazed speed.

The mixture of sounds, and sights from all those plying the market street for daily goods is somehow relaxing to you and you find yourself reluctant to move on even after you've finished your food. Sadly, your boons from the paper are time limited and it would be best to see them effectively used...

Hopefully this won't be too difficult for the author to write out, particularly as he mentioned it them self. Given we're visiting Gerald's Apothecary perhaps with our new found haggling skills we'll be able to determine just what the value of the items we brought to the shop were, and whether we can use our current skills to gain a more favorable rate. The art of haggling is also about building relations as the text mentioned so there should be some benefit.

After that I'd like to go to the guild store while we have the buff, as so far there has been no specified statement that the prices of goods and services there are set without leeway. It's also a good opportunity to buy more lessons.

After finishing off the meat skewers you decide to hit all three of the stores you were recommended, even if you didn't end up buying anything it'd be good to have a general idea of items available. First up on your list is Gunnerson's Smithy, a rather inconspicuous building sitting between a large auction house and what you believe is a bulk goods trader from all the loaded carts around it. Entering into the store reveals a strangely quite, incredibly neat space with a well polished counter and well over two dozen racks spread throughout the room. All variety of weapons rest of the racks while pieces of armor are hung from the wall in a display that you can only really call expensive, but then again you guess that is the point of a store.

Behind the counter is a dwarf who looks oddly similar to the man who runs the Guild Store, a coin much like his being flipped between his finger except the piece is silver rather than gold. Without looking up the dwarf simply calls out to you,

"Take a look around, if you want to buy something then you can bring it up here. If not, well look if you want I guess."

You can't help, but feel your brow twitch at the casual and careless response as you turn to looking at the goods available.

Weapons:
Iron Shortsword - 4 Silver, 50 Coppers
Iron Longsword - 9 Silver
Iron Greatsword - 15 Silver

Iron Dagger - 2 Silver, 50 Coppers
Iron Dirk - 4 Silver

Iron Short Spear - 2 Silver, 75 Coppers
Iron Spear - 5 Silver

Iron Hand-Axe - 3 Silver, 50 Coppers
Iron Throwing Axe - 2 Silver

Oak Shortbow - 3 Silver
Oak Longbow - 5 Silver
Iron Bodkin Arrows - 10 Coppers per Arrow
Iron Broadhead Arrows - 20 Coppers per Arrow

Shields:
Oaken Round Shield - 1 Silver, 15 Coppers

Simple Iron Chainmail - 4 Silver, 45 Coppers

Iron Cuirass - 6 Silver, 40 Coppers
Full Iron Plate Armor - 12 Silver, 35 Coppers

---

After looking through the Smithy's stock you head to your next location, the General Store which was recommended to you, and quickly make your way inside the rather bustling store. Almost two dozen people are packed into the moderately sized building forcing you to squeeze past people, or ask them to move to give you room as you proceed to browse everything the myriad of shelves and displays have to offer.

Tools/Equipment:
Water-skin -
35 Coppers
Case of Vials - 2 Silvers
Empty Bottle - 60 Coppers

Backpack - 1 Silver
Large Backpack - 3 Silver
Belt Pouch - 75 Coppers

Satchel of Dried Fruits - 15 Coppers

Flask of Oil - 75 Coppers
Paper - 20 Coppers per 5 Sheets
Piece of Leather - 15 Coppers
Bundle of Clean Rags (10) - 75 Coppers

---

Finally, you head to your last destination of the trip, Gerald's Apothecary, where you find the store utterly empty with only the constant flow of random noises coming in from the back room. You sigh and shake your head at the careless man before turning your attention to the gathered items, all of them seemingly haphazardly placed across shelves, displays, counters, racks, and even crates.

Standard Goods:
Weak Health Poultice -
3 Silver, 50 Coppers
Health Poultice - 8 Silver
Weak Medical Bandages (4) - 6 Silver

GM Note: Sorry for the delay, was having difficult writing for this for a bit, but then I got consumed by Total Warhammer 2. Here's the update!

Question for everyone though - Are you guys alright with how days are setup, or would you prefer if I start just outright listing available quests without having to waste an update checking them? It occurred to me that that might get a tad annoying after a while.

Streamlining things would be greatly appreciated.

We have 4 Silver and 88 Copper. We want to buy everything we probably want while we have the Haggling boost active, while also making sure that we keep enough money to rent a room for the night (25-30 Coppers).

[X] Leather Armor - 3 Silver, 20 Coppers
[X] Flint & Steel - 25 Coppers
[X] Skinning Knife - 75 Coppers
[X] Water-skin - 35 Coppers
-[X] Fill the Water-skin

Total cost: 4 Silver, 55 Coppers

Leather Armor because we need more defense than none at all. Flint & Steel because we'll be kicking ourselves if we don't if we ever need to start a fire, either for camping, lighting a self made torch, or something else. The Skinning Knife to get our best value out of any monster or dangerous beast encounters we overcome, such as more Vicious Rabbits. Water skin for drinking and for Herb harvesting while the vials are freed for potion stuff later.

We still have our penalties from being battered and bruised, so unless we're lucky enough for another Scholar job to have popped up, we probably don't want to take another Quest. I believe it's late afternoon too, so we don't have a lot of daylight left. So I want to try this to see if we can get our Evasion Training just over the line into usability before we have to turn in for the night.

[X] Check out the sparring option that guide puppet showed you.

Okay, lets see...
-We have 4 Silver, 88 Copper
-Basic living expenses are low enough that we can get along with just the coppers as long as we take SOME job every day.
-We have an Iron Hand-Axe for our best weapon. We have no ranged weapon
-We have no armor, no shield, and robes won't stop shit.
-We have no healing, but bunny is a meatshield

So:
-Smithy
--We don't need any of the melee weapons. We can get a bow if we want to support bunny from a safe distance, but arrows are expensive and we don't know how to aim.
--We can afford either a shield or armor, but not both.
---We can afford a really nice shield. A Kite Shield offers very good coverage and also makes a good bludgeon. However, shields take some skills to use unless we have a partner to cover the unshielded side. We have a partner, we can learn the fancy moves later.
---We can afford sort of poor armor. Leather armor wouldn't do much to animal attacks on our extremities. Or our guts for the matter

-General Store
--We don't have any food if we want to take an extended mission or save actions stopping to buy food.
--We don't have any light source if we want to go out(or are stuck) after dark.
--We can afford a Belt Pouch, it'd free up inventory space in the backpack to put small items into.
--We need more paper if we want to keep using Dominate writing. Paper is cheap enough at least.
--We can't use the oil we have because for some reason we don't have any flint and steel to start a fire with
--We only have 4 inventory slots left in the pack.

-Apothecary
--Literally everything is beyond us.

1 Silver, 38 Copper left, which should be enough to get room and food for a few days, or whatever tools we need for a job.
Keep at least a silver free

Dominated Writing removes the ink and leaves the paper blank again.
the words on the page before you tear themselves free of the page as dim golden light starts to radiate from them. Mild pain hits you as the words pour into the location on your forehead where that burning sensation had occurred during your blessing, and with it comes a flood of knowledge that seems more expansive than that written on the page.
We only have to worry about running out of paper if we're writing stuff down that we don't Dominate.

-[X] Unlit Torch - 15 Coppers
Between our hand axe, rags, and oil, we can just make our own torches of varying quality when we need to just by stopping by the forest. The Guide encouraged us to be creative and craft our own simple items instead of spending money on them.

@adwarf, aside from skill levels, do we have to take the weight of heavier equipment into account, since our PC is noted to not be physically fit yet? Especially the bigger metal items like the Greatsword, Tower Shield, and Full Plate Armor?
