[X] Cold disdain
On reflection I've decided, anger is likely to be met with anger while she's already half crazed, and guilt means little when she's shown she's already in the mindset to justify massacering civilians with dogma harder. She needs some hard, cold, truth.

- hug her, calm her down, pacify the situation

We need some nicer options

We know already how Mosi answers on [] Guilt, confusion.
"I was only following orders" and "You couldn't have helped me, your side is losing the war."

I want to see something new. Like Amani ripping the black box off her neck and throwing it away. An appropriate gesture, I think.

Mosi braces her remaining intact limb, the right leg, against the Artemis, and pushes with everything the MKIII has left. She rockets away from the prototype, now on a direct crash course with Anchiale station, going too fast to slow herself now. She can feel that something's broken in the controls, the crude haptics in her maintenance pilot's suit going disconcertingly slack around her. With a growl of effort, Mosi scrapes up the last of her skill and energy as a pilot to at least aim toward an emergency landing hatch.

Anyway, where did Perbeck go. I can't really imagineher deciding just to bugger of because her mech got a scuff mark on it.

I think I need a day or two to process this update. How does your writing get so intense.
I absolutely cannot decide on anything except that you should have taken over the screenwriting after BSG got caught in the writer's strike, you write damn fine space opera.
You're both very sweet : )

Mosi very nearly crashed directly into Anchiale, and did crash through an emergency hatch at a pretty unsafe speed. Gloriana can follow, but she's going to approach at a speed that's not going to kill someone in a collision. It's reasonable to surmise that she was attempting to contact station authorities to keep them abreast of the situation -- Mosi woke up before that could trickle down to the front line workers who were focusing on trying to help a crash victim.

She's also probably trying to process that 1) she nearly shot her girlfriend's sister and 2) said sister knows about their relationship.

Perbeck puts the barrel of an anti-mech gun directly against the torso of Kim's MKIII. Against the cockpit. "I'm... I'm sorry," Kim says, as if all the air has been sucked out of her. As if she knows what's coming. "I didn't--" The automatic bust from Perbeck's weapon rips through the civilian model's torso armour like it's nothing, shredding cockpit, passenger compartment and everything in between. What's left of Ensign Su-Jin Kim is just more broken, mangled debris, left in pieces too small and insignificant to track.
The sad thing is, I had actually planned to make a post detailing what I thought would've happened to Kim had we told Mosi of the inhabitet defense platforms and how I hoped she would survive for interrogation purposes, and now it's become quite clear that she... Won't.

On the bright side this whole thing means our mom probably only has regular soldier-in-space-battle chance of dying. I was darn sure we had sealed her fate the moment we gave her info to Mosi. Now I think we'll at least get an Aftermath vote to see if she dies.

Perbeck narrows her eyes. "This is your last breath. Die a zealot as well as a traitor, a coward and a murderer."

Something bubbles up from deep within Mosi. A confusing blend of fear, guilt, anger and blind defiance. And she's shouting something that she was decidedly not trained to say: "Yeah? Well, you're fucking my little sister!"
In case anyone is asking whether or not I regret informing Mosi of who we're dating, here's my answer.

"Honestly," he says, "we needed to catch this sooner."

"Sorry, sir," you murmur.

"What? No. No! I didn't mean... look, North, I told you you did well. You did do well. You helped me get this information sooner than I would have gotten it. We did what we could, with what we had, in the time we had. Doing everything right doesn't always feel like winning, but it's better than nothing, right?"

Not quite, actually. There was once were we got delayed that could've been avoided.

In other words, this damn mess was caused by that racist asshole.*
*Only slightly overexagerated

"I'm a pilot as well, Ensign. Not just a devastatingly good looking operative." This time, the levity doesn't feel quite as forced. "I know it can be hard for one woman to keep track of my many, many talents."
... Lori, you better be happy that Owusu showed up as late in the story as he did, otherwise you might not've had a girlfriend right now.

Okay, so now that the bad jokes are out of the way, time to talk about the stuff that actually matters.

One thing I don't think has been brought up is that we still haven't hung up. Meaning that whatever we get Mosi to say will go directly into Owusu's ear. So whether we want to squeeze as much info out of her as possible or we want to save her (which I do, considering there are no other infiltration members left), we want her to be talking.

[X] Guilt, confusion
Cold disdain won't do that. The only benefit we get from that is hurting Mosi, and I'm pretty sure she's in a state currently where she would't realise if you took her arm off.

Best option for stalling without us or the incoming security getting shot. While I would love to go with disdain I strongly suspect it would lead to the mass murderer escaping, again, to inflict yet more harm, again.

Fortunately, everyone's favourite character who makes Amani's life so much less complicated survived, so that's bound to be some comfort.
Indeed, Gloriana has survived the potentially fatal encounter with the Enemy POV Character despite Amani's giving away her personal info. I am greatly pleased by this.
Although I would have been more pleased to see Lori nail the bitch through the chest with that cutter.
