Day Four Begins
Where nine leave, seven return. The village grimly searches out the missing two, and finds them soon enough.
In his home lies Threnodist, stabbed to death in the night.
@Threnodist, the
Old Moon Ritualist, has been [
Stabbed Through the Heart]. He was a
Servant of the Old Moon.
Some in the crowd recognize the man, who so long led them in rituals and prayers. An elderly expert on the ways of the Old Moon itself. Others, of course, do not. Why would the interlopers know of their foes?
As to the other, once more has a member of the town been consumed in the dark by what appear to be birds.
@The Master, the
Village Farmer, has been [
Devoured clean down to the Bone]. He was a
Servant of the Old Moon.
The voice of the Old Moon is dour, displeased. "How? How can my servants have found
none of the interlopers when so many have now died? This is unacceptable! The ritual! The ritual must finish!
Find them!" A pause. A sense of scowling. "Or do I even
have servants yet left? How many were there? I do not remember. You interlopers will pay. Be it this century or the next, my wrath will know no limits!"
The group glances about uneasy, numbers so diminished from where they started. Fully half have died, and yet not a single interloper has been found. Certainly, the dead suggest the presence true of such outsiders, but who?
Accusations fly, as always, even with so many dead...
Day Four has begun. Day Four ends in seventy-two hours, or when hammer is reached. With seven left alive, hammer stands at 4 votes.
