Welcome to Moonton (Mafia)

Also, I'd really like to have a vanilla town some day so I can just scumhunt instead of having to constantly thread the scumminess vs nonscumminess to avoid lynch and scumkills for once :V. I don't think I've had one since joining SV mafia, although that's because tehre seems to be more roles to go around than I'm used to having, and also don't have to end up revealing, like, day 2. This is starting to become a pattern with me and town power roles.

Anyway. I'm not sure entirely what the difference is between my investigation and Nani's, or if they even had one. If they were a fellow investigative then it seems like there's probably at least one godfather or equivalent, so that's somethign to worry about.

And with the reveal I'll swap to the next most suspicious player on my list.

Tbf if you can't kill you can't really be an SK or mafia member.

Yeah, but presences of a gunsmith almost always indicates a town killer false positive. I could also be any non-killer 3rd party like a jester or lyncher. (Once again I'm not but still)

A godfather is generally the fail state for a normal investigator so that could be possible. Each type having a fail state.

Will, try and get more than my sleepless brain's statements on the board, but they were my target before. @Astaroh-M

Gunsmith has some false positives right? so let's say it hits a vigi. It would also get the same results as a serial killer, godfather, mafioso or wizard or something.

If there is a watcher, a tracker, a "is this person from out of town" (Nani's probably role), add in a gunsmith.
Watchers can be fooled if there are multiple visitors to a killed person. A tracker can be fooled too, an interloper catcher can be fooled by a godfather, a gunsmith can also be given false positives since they only know if the target has a kill.

That's a lot of investigatives in potential. But also lots of room for subtlety and I can believe Terrabrand would do that.

This sorta locks in the last possible town investigative claim to be tracker right?

Basically was convinced of Comi's argument based on the voting trends from Day 1 and the sudden switch offs from him later on for the most part.

50~ minutes remain. Currently, @Astaroh-M is up for the lynch.
Adhoc vote count started by Terrabrand on Oct 27, 2018 at 9:27 PM, finished with 145 posts and 9 votes.

i.e. wagon on astaroh being shifted away from him in last day being indicative of him having a team-mate helping move him into safety region of votes?

Pretty much. I'd have to check back but if I remember right it was a fairly fast exodus without a clear reason behind it based on what I remember.

The other 2 big trains were myself and IJW. The former stopped because I made it clear I wouldn't give up info and stuck to that. The latter was because TMR made a suspicion statement and people jumped on that. But for the life of me I can't recall why people jumped from Asta.

But for the life of me I can't recall why people jumped from Asta.
...How that hell is that my fault? No really, at most if I were to have so ally it would only be them voting for someone else right? How would I control all the other people?

I honestly was very confused as to why so many people change their vote to TMR, just because some suspicious words? It didn't make sense for me honestly, that's why I didn't vote for him.

Hadn't wanted to mention this, but now's as good a time as any to note that I am in fact a Watcher, who can see who visits a house at night, and see if the resident leaves (though not where they go). Last night I was watching QTesseract, and I saw them leaving their house. Given who we know about (two killers and a Roleblocker), it seems quite likely that QTesseract is one of the killers.
Anyway, why are you jumping on me so fast? I just write was the one that pointed towards QT, and actually he has being pointing at people pretty fast the whole game, just because he has a power doesn't make him a town, honestly he feels very scummy to me.

Thanks for proving my point.

Yeah, I will vote for what was my original suspicious.

Well I can flat out point the reason that IJW seems fast to you Asta. Look at The Who replies tab. Look at how many people have around 30 or more posts. Look at the people who around 15.

Notice the huge post gap? Him, Riki, and I posting much more than the others naturally make us seem faster due to how much our words can make us seem like we are rapid firing things.

Also I just wish we could have more posts. I'd be voting The Master up on that but it's his first game + being sick means I'm giving a pass for now.

he's been on at 1138 am so could have been able to say something, regardless of being really sick or not

OK. Just explaining my reasoning for holding off voting for Pawn right now.

Considering that Pawn's been spending his entire time being generally helpful and trying to help people learn the ropes, I think he's probably more likely Town than Astaroh is. Thus, moving my vote.

D'awww looks at those two, protecting each other, almost like a team. >_>

Now I'm curious, had they vote against each other at any moment?

Hmmm, well:

Why? Because of his last post, if you're going to die already and you have some proof, any kind of proof, that you're actually innocent, I think it would be best to "say" it as subtly as you can, yet he spent his post saying that giving your rol early is a bad idea and that defending yourself is difficult.

The thing is, if you're really town then is possible that people will try to protect you at night because you're the only know town, and the scum will know this so voting for you could end in a wasted of a night yurn, so they will probably target another person, so yeah, I don't see any reason as to not give some "hint" of your rol if you're about to die.

This is all the rambling of some new player though, so be free to argue back.

An interesting post, its not bad however it is in a sense suggesting an action for a protective role to do which isn't good for town. Its nothing strong either way as it is something I could see myself saying in my first few games not knowing planting ideas on how protective roles should act is counter productive.

Now as has been said most of the argument is voting analysis Astaroh was the highest voted, after the fall of both mine and pawn's wagons. And was only two away from hammer, and I believe most of those on that vote were town, so the fact the vote wasn't pushed by scum is concerning. Protection by creating/pushing another target is common in scum play. And what I believe occurred.

What now? Clock is ticking faster as time goes. I'm less inclined for IJW now that we have more solid info

Never mind, I can see where the tallys are lining now that page 14 loaded for me...even after a refresh.

[X] Vote Astaroh-M

From what i read this brings it to 4.

If we want to we can just lynch the Master and remove a non factor from the game. It's not the first day anymore do the newbie compact is irrelevant and if nothing else this is ridiculously low activity even if they are sick.
