It'd also add whole new set of issues and possibly antagonists to us, because AdMech gonna be very much Not Okay with such development.

Still may well be worth it.

They usually do, but we are eventually going to need to make contact and get them to work with us which will likely be problematic as you mentioned, they prefer to stay out of Eclessiarchy affairs.

Once we get a ball rolling on helping the Imperium on a scale above local sectors we will absolutely need the AdMech's support if not cooperation to keep tractors farming, the factories trucking, and ships supplying guns and butter to our forces.

To say nothing of the very idea of "modifying" or "innovating" anything. While they have good reasons for their fears about untested technology (hidden corruption in the code that'll kill everyone on a ship or accidentally causing your tank's CPU to lock up by giving the wrong startup commands all being possible), we are going to need them to break a least a few molds in order to get a leg up on the Dark Mechanicus or the people who will invariably take exception to our attempts to perform emergency surgery on the Imperium.

Even the Emperor had to bluff the Martians with "I am the Omnissiah" while still espousing the Imperial Anti-Theism to everyone else.

It is unlikely to be an immediate concern, but once we have a basic infrastructure to guide and rule the AdMech are going to be necessary to prevent it from collapsing let alone keep expanding.

We're a Zenith, we need an organization to really get the most oomph out of our kind of bullshit solar magic.

What @TenfoldShields said sounds right; odds are that someone below us on the corporate ecclesiastical ladder is after our job. We need to get everyone together and on the same page before we go poking the Navy or AdMech.

People are watching what we're doing and approaching the Sororities first will look like a pretty aggressive action. Rebuke an inquisitor and then begin turning the local military to your side? I would make it look like our guy is preparing for a fight.

So while I'd rather we pray and contemplate what we are (as understanding what just happened would help with our speeches and turning other people to our side) that vote is not going to win, so I'm throwing in my lot with the next best thing. Organizing the people who run our planet to make sure nothing goes wrong. Who knows, maybe they'll be able to help us understand what just happened.

This is 40k after all, it seems like best practice to get some problem solvers on your side before the inevitable horde of horrible things converges on us.

While I want to vote for speaking with to our people, the freakin' Inquisition hasn't even left the planet yet. We need someone at the gates while we establish what will occur within our holdings.
