The Dream that is Dying (Exalted)

[X] A general clad in scarlet. She stands athwart Creation, and all the world drowns beneath the shadow of her name. When she wills it, nations die, and the hosts that exult her name can only guess as to her motive.

[X] A master with hair of flame. She stands in challenge to any who will meet her, pitting fist and mind alike against the blades of the world's most dangerous foes. Their hatred warms the forge, and with it she shall forge wonders unquestioned.

I like Earthscorpions reasoning.

Though could Farah actually end up commanding an army?

I agree with EarthScorpion's position on crafters. Exalted's crafting system has something of a reputation for not interacting with the world at large, and SV's reactions to a powersource perceived as riskless have always been toxic to quests.

General versus Killer is closer; I could probably be convinced to switch, but I think I'm more interested in the social context the General creates.

Don't really have a strong preference here, but EarthScorpion's ideas and reason are interesting enough to get my vote.

Yes, under an assumed identity. She's not going to become a conquering warlord in her own name for any length of time, but for short periods, she could play the role. In theory, a Sidereal could go Ronin, meaning not work for Heaven. This will get them to butt heads with Heaven sooner or later, but Ronin can use the same tricks normal Sidereals use to pass as other people, and then try and rule a nation or command an army under a succession of assumed identities.

Now that I think of it, I'm not sure what the rules say about a Sidereal using a Resplendent Destiny, and then under that identity using a mundane assumed identity to keep the mundane identity from fading from people's memories. For example, we create a Resplendent Destiny of a spy who pretends to be Zhou, the Warrior King. Zhou is a fake name, nothing special about it, and thus when the original Resplendent Destiny runs out (they are limited to weeks or months before fading), we create a new one, and that identity also pretends to be Zhou, the Warrior King, keeping the mundane false identity existing. As far as Fate is concerned, Zhou isn't a real person, and its just a list of different people pretending to be him, but from a practical standpoint, most people in Creation won't know Zhou isn't a real person, they'll know there's a guy calling himself Zhou leading an army conquering shit. Basically, a continous Dreaded Pirate Roberts gambit, where the Sidereal switches between Resplendent Destinies pretending to be the conquering warlord.

Not sure if this would actually work, or if Arcane Fate will still apply to it, making people forget Zhou after the first Resplendent Destiny runs out.

I haven't participated in many quests here, so I suppose I'll have to take the word of others that crafting causes issues, but this is a close second anyway.

@EarthScorpion's rationale is very good, and furthermore I would make the argument that scarlet is a great colour, and the scarlet-clad general is - like Farah - someone who is visible and active. Not only is this a great role model for Farah, it's also a great contrast to Farah, who has now been literally forced into the obscure shadows of the world, and away from the position she would have held.
It, if possible(I'm not sure it is), also makes for an interesting Resplendent Destiny basis.

It also kinda matches her skills as they stand right now, sort of.

Don't mind me, just feeding a bandwagon...

[X] A killer with blood on her hands. She runs her fingers through the life of a Titan, staring at them with mute fascination. There will be a cost to this, but it is one she thinks worth paying. Thinks, but does not know.

Only a few Primordials died, being one of the few exalted to kill one has to count for something. Plus if the exalt who did that only just died, a couple thousand years later, well then they must have been pretty damn awesome. Elder Sids are some of the most important people in the setting, and being their successor and inheriting some of their contacts, allies, and cred is definitely not something to be rejected lightly.

Moreover from a metagame perspective this could let us get into the politics and adventures of heaven more quickly, which isn't something that's been examined in much fiction or quests, at least to my knowledge

Assuming, of course, that this is to decide the past life.

Speaking of which, do we know of any exalts who actually killed a Primordial besides Merela?

Having a past directly involved in either the killing of a Primordial or the creation of Necromancy sounds interesting.

Hm, no crafting for me at the moment. So either this or the killer, and I like this one a bit more for the reason that this is nearer to what Farah would have aspired to be in live if no plots and ancient titan-slaying superweapons had entered her life.

Let's get our army pants on! (Okay admittedly I don't know if Armies will work like that but it's still a mental image I find hilarious.)

The killer of a primordial is just really interesting.

Is there a difference between being a fighter and a killer? Probably not, but that semantic space could be a fun one to try and occupy.
