GAMERGIRL: Morbid Misadventures of a Digital Kind

Well, I guess that happened. I feel kinda sad for the coconut king. After he stopped acting crazy he seemed like a mostly okay guy, if you disregard the coconut thing.

Dirty sympathizer.

SAN is our HP, this is an attack. And you know what they say, the best defense is a good offense.

Google is telling me that coconut is healthy for dogs.

I'm worried that SAN can burn out fast though. Like we kind of got down to the wire here and it was the first enemy we faced. I don't want to risk a bad end further on down the line because we don't have the resources we need, and I'm very skeptical Bateman isn't going to have a drawback or two, especially given who gave it to us?

Also idk this isn't a regular coconut thing though? I mean if you guys trust it it's fine but I really don't want to risk data corruption or anything.

Coconut is healthy for dogs and we need healing. As for theory crafting, everyone else has stated the more easily derived stuff.

You know why we took so much damage? Because we just had to sit there against the King until someone could come to bail us out and facetank it with heals, because we had precisely zero means of offense.

This is reasonable though.

"it it it it it it it it it it it it "

I feel like if he got a second word off before being axed to virtual death this would have been more useful.

[X] Keep the residue.

We need more HP, and we can probably figure out our own less insane attacks.

Also

[x] Check if TrueNorth gets admin by default as the last member of the chatroom

Since this is over for now. Did Spooks actually ever mention what North's task is supposed to be and what we should help her with?

TrueNorth:NO HE DIDNT

While an axe murderer might be useful in the future, this was apparently the first time it was tested and while it worked this time, it might not go that well(?) next time.

Except we did have some vague means of offense, and it did work pretty well against this enemy! It just stopped working and we needed to use other resources. We also have other resources, like the dog, and if we experiment and play with things it's completely inevitable that we'll get more. We also still don't know exactly what Trivial Pursuit does, and that affirmation that it's bad honest is kinda running thin for me. Cetash isn't going to throw us into enemy after enemy and make our only resource, if it as you claim that our only resource against the coconuts was completely ineffectual, an optional choice. That's nonsense.

Like I don't think we should rely on handouts in this case, when if we're inventive we're sure to come up with things on our own and it is, again, from somebody that we have no reason to really trust and are continually getting more and more reasons to maybe not take at face value. And as Guilop (And North) noted it's hardly a reliable means to aid to begin with because the whole axe murderer thing.

You should probably leave the chatroom now!

PatrickBateman: Well slow down there! The whole point is I have to give her my card or she has to reject it first. Then the .exe will end and I'll cease to exist. After that you can do whatever you want.

PatrickBateman: I prefer to call myself a professional hacker.

This seems to indicate that whatever Spooks is doing, he's working independently. Not really an office worker type of role, fwiw.
So we can tell there's been a substantial number of "subjects", though that was implied earlier. And that they pretty much all die incredibly early since the coconut crew seems to be one of the first threats they face?

Also might want to keep the lieutenant in mind for later, as a resource if nothing else.

[COCO]KING: It is almost certainly not human and mortal. It and I have far more in common than it and you.

TrueNorth: why are you suddenly so open and chatty all of a sudden, what happened to the whole im the evil coco king thing, arent you at least worried hell come and help

[COCO]KING: The Grave Robber does not "help" his victims. He gives them false hope. I know he will not come for you. So I have stopped my efforts. All there is to do now is wait and become acquainted with my queen. Then you will be sublimated and become part of us. Besides, I am tired of the act. It's tedious when you know the conversion is at hand.

These are probably really important clues so I'll just make sure we pay attention to them.

TrueNorth I've been wondering: do Fragment posts appear on some different screen or something from, say, the Dumb Brown Thing Group?

Also the string of numbers is hexademical followed by binary, and it translates to it it it it it it it and so on.

"Other resources" like calling for help, yes. The doggo, while useful, was just delaying the inevitable.

"We'll totally come up with something on our own" is blind hope. We might not get options of our own if we don't take them when they're presented. Not that I think this will be our only option or anything, we should get others down the line, but the logic persists if said additional options are also from our (possibly evil) boi Spooks. "My way or the highway" is not a recipe for success.

I guess we should consider checking the Trivial Pursuit thing out later. Ideally when our SAN is above 7, and very much not now. I mean, it looks like we're not taking the card, so in that case sure now.

North? Maybe calm is in order? It's okay, the nightmare is over, take a deep breath and try to relax.

Or like curl up into the digital equivalent of the fetal position if that's what you need right now.

Also, 90%+ casualties? That just seems inefficient. Like I don't care how evil Spooks is, but I do care that he's apparently quite shit at his job.

Interesting, if you consider all the things, read neatly, I ended up being pretty much correct on a big chunk of the theories.

(I forgot to last time and the SAN booster I sent you failed to upload, I'm such a goof!).

Can you send it now, please.

I mean, there's no need to actually to give up Bateman for SAN if we have SAN.

@Cetashwayo: By 'restored to maximum', do you mean removing the cap at 5, or just restoring San to 5?

EDIT:

A question for the thread: How much do we trust this San meter? Because I for one have skepticism about it. How can that be measured or displayed? Because North can see it.

Wait, so does everyone in the same portion of cyberspace hear everything we fragments say?

PatrickBateman: You folks are a little bit like digital noise to me. You usually have to listen up but if you're paying attention then it's pretty easy to hear you out.
PatrickBateman: That said this .exe is my personal domain- I like to call it my place of peace. So I might have a different experience.
PatrickBateman: I did actually hear the individual parts of the coconut fellow scream at once, for example.
PatrickBateman: What a weird sound!

Debuffs were removed so it's going to go back to 10.
