  • [X]Do not send Endeavor a message.
[X]Continue working on the electromagnetic network, You are getting close to having full access to the internet, you can feel it.
[X]Try to create a brand-new miracle (spends time instead of XP to create a new miracle, requires 4 time slots in total, can be selected more than once)
-[X]A miracle to help fix Izuku's overworking problem
[X] Buy Cure Wounds (1mp) 5xp: Cures most injuries on a mortal, with the stipulation that they cannot be lethal and must be no more than 24h old
[X]Contact either of them individually If you spoke one-on-one with either you're confident you can explain things accurately, perhaps even secure a follower.
-[X] Question All-Might on why this Toshinori person requires so many doctor appointments. Does healing not work on him?
[X]Do not contact either of them, it's too risky yet. You still lack the majority of your powers and can't protect your disciple from these people if they decide you're a threat.
[X]Dream of yourself. You will spend a significant portion of the nights of the week with your attention turned inwards into yourself in a dream of sorts in an attempt to repair some of the divine memories you are missing, they might give you some clues of the fates of the previous deities that once lived on this world.
[X] Buy Omniscience 1 for 10xp: Allows you to split your attention to a dozen places at once. Future upgrades drastically increases this.
[X] Tell him of the damage and grant him the Cure Wounds miracle to allow him to continue further than his normal human limitations without causing more harm than good. Caution him to stay within the limits of the miracle while you work on a better fitting one.
[X]Praise him for his effort, this is what you want to see in your disciples! The selfless push to see a task you've given them through even if it breaks their bodies.
-[X] Advise he puts your gift of Minor Cure Wounds to use as he works, heal himself of his strain and overexertion even as it forms
-[X] Use Cure Wounds on him, to take care of the accumulated over-exertion that is beyond his means.
[X]Praise him for his effort, this is what you want to see in your disciples! The selfless push to see a task you've given them through even if it breaks their bodies.
-[X] Advise he puts your gift of Minor Cure Wounds to use as he works, heal himself of his strain and overexertion even as it forms
[X]Tell him to slow it down a little, the scrap on the beach isn't going anywhere and he'll just make it slower in the long run if he collapses.

In the end, you decide not to contact anyone through their phones at the moment. You just don't have enough information to feel comfortable exposing yourself like this, not to mention that you have no way of verifying that you are in fact a god while communicating in text form to these heroes. For all you know they could be part of some secret cabal or sociopaths, you already uncovered that All-might is a shapeshifter, something no one else seems aware of. Who knows what other secrets they might hide?

----------Izuku PoV----------
A buzzing from his pocket makes Izuku stop and set down the busted, rusty microwave he was carrying, wiping his brow and panting heavily as he unlocks his phone, delighted to see Deus' tag on the screen. For all the god had done for him, it (he?) didn't talk to Izuku as much as the young man would have liked, he had so many questions to ask, but beyond barely remembered dreams he hadn't heard from his god for a while and he was too shy to just straight up send him a message or ask him any questions out loud while he was out and about. Deus probably wouldn't appreciate his inquisitiveness anyway, it's probably for the best that Deus remains the one initiating contact when he has a need to.

[Deus]: Midoriya Izuku.
[Deus]: Your body is breaking under the strain you are placing on it.

Izuku barely had time to open his mouth to refute it before the messages scrolled on, as usual faster than any hands could possibly type. He did take not of the fact that Deus wasn't writing in all-caps any longer, was that a sign of something?

[Deus]: But do not fret.
[Deus]: Your persistence speaks well of your character.
[Deus]: So I will give you the means to continue at your own pace.
[Deus]: Prepare yourself.

"Prepare myself for what-" Was all he managed to get out before gasping and falling to his knees, it was like his entire existence was smothered in a blanket as thick as mount Everest. Warm and filled with indescribable energy. The sensation lasted only for a moment, but a part of that energy, a tiny speck but still threatening to overwhelm him, remaining inside of him, a warm glowing ember of Deus now residing in his own soul. Driven by some instinct beyond his own reckoning he reached out to the spark, touching it lightly, directing it out through his body. A gasp left his lips as he felt the divine energies rejuvenating him, soothing aches and pains he didn't even know he had, the blisters that had been forming on his hands fading away before his very eyes. He could barely tear his eyes off the spectacle to look back to the phone where the messages kept scrolling in.

[Deus]: This is a miracle, performed by me through you.
[Deus]: It is of far greater power than the lesser miracles I have already granted you.
[Deus]: But it is also more draining for both of us. Use it sparingly when you or another is in need of healing.
[Deus]: And beware. This miracle can only cure injuries inflicted in the past day and night.
[Deus]: Nor can it heal that which would slay a mortal.
[Deus]: Use it at your discretion to continue your training, but beware not to push yourself too far.
[Deus]: Continue to make me proud, my Disciple.

He could feel the tears welling up in his eyes, doing his very best to keep the waterworks from starting. Deus was giving him another power, and praising him for his effort! It felt like his heart would burst from joy. He'd do his best, make sure not to let Deus down, He'd have this beach clear well before the entrance exam!

"T-thank you Deus!" He finally managed to squeak out. "I-I'll do my best!"

He felt the faint impression that someone was chuckling as he got back to work, but it didn't matter to him. A new fire was burning in his chest, and he was more motivated than ever to get back at it.

----------Deus PoV----------
Letting your disciple rest, you instead turn your attention towards this 'internet' once more. It's simultaneously maddeningly complex, yet elegantly simple at its most basic level. For humans to have created something of this magnitude is truly impressive, yet ultimately no barrier to your divine self. It was only a matter of time before you figured out how to access it, at least in part, as you now are doing. As you had done with phones, your concentration is refined to a fine point, submerged in the smallest sliver of yourself to let you view the various sites of the internet without immediately breaking them via traffic overflow.

Sure, some of them still break, but that's because they weren't designed to handle a sudden influx of traffic in this way and ultimately no bother to you. You can still collect what information you require from their sourcecode to decipher yourself. This method of yours is far slower than you would like, you're basically browsing at mortal speeds, but the sheer amount of information you can access is still vastly superior to what you could obtain before. In a matter of hours you have acquainted yourself with most of the history of humanity from the ancient times to today's date. Not in detail of course, but the broad strokes.

And the results are all the more puzzling. There seems to have existed even more gods in this world than you initially suspected, entire pantheons of them. Some still have cults spanning millions of followers to this day despite the absence of any divinity to guide them. It's just strange, why would any god abandon a world where they have a global presence and near uncountable worshippers? Something seems off about this situation, there has got to be some trickery going on.

It's almost reluctantly that you finally tear yourself from your browsing. Though you do note with some amusement that the Cyber Crimes unit of Japan is investigating the aftermath of your presence on the internet, it seems your inadvertent crashing of several websites caught some attention after all, but that's a matter for another day, or night. For these night's you've already committed yourself to helping out your disciple further.

To that end, you delve into your own essence, grasping strands of your own divinity and begin to experiment. At the very most basic level all your miracles are just your raw divinity imposed onto reality in different ways, with enough trial and error it should prove fairly trivial to purpose a new miracle, something with stamina, or perhaps endurance. Regeneration maybe? If ever you could be said to truly lose track of time it would be doing this, your existence is by definition the most complex thing in this universe, and weaving it into new ways to shape reality is... Fun. You resolve to do this more often when you have a couple of hundred thousand followers to give you mana, maybe even create some new life on another planet. Lost in dreams of the future, you continue your work.

You have unlocked Cure Wounds and have granted it to Midoriya Izuku. 5 mana has been reserved to your disciple.
Knowledge: Technology increased to 3
Knowledge: Humans has progressed towards level 6, but not yet advanced.

10xp awarded for reaching a knowledge threshold.

A new week dawns! The air is thick with effort from yourself and your disciple. No mana has been gained this week as Izuku is spending as much as he is producing to fix himself during his training.

Pick three daytime actions for this week! Interactions with Izuku remain locked while he is in hyper-training mode.

Has the miracle we've been experimenting with already been designed, or can participants in the quest try and tweak and direct it?

It's not fully in your control, though you can as part of the vote to keep working on it include a 'direction' of the miracle. The current direction is "something to help Izuku's problem of overworking while training"

I will like to say that the Encouraging him option had 6 votes compared to the 3 votes that had, if you mix the ones that had using Cure Wounds and not using it (the not using it ones from plans that didn't involve buying it). I feel like it's a important distinction, since having him use Cure Wounds in our stead will be a big mana drain, where as Cure Minor Wounds won't cost anything.

True, my mistake. I missed it on the tally. (Sticking to my guns though because I dislike re-writes unless absolutely necessary).

Clarification though, Cure Minor wounds has very little impact on his overworking efficiency as it can only repair very minor damage from overworking whereas Cure Wounds will remove all the negative effects except for built up strain and exhaustion.

Only the very last part of the thing would need editing, and I would really appreciate to not lose our only mana income yet.

Thing is, about damage caused by Over Exertion, it's caused little bits at a time. A series of metaphorical paper-cuts that build up into something far more serious. If used continuously, it should work. Unless he doesn't go and break his arm or something, the only damage that would need to be fixed would be stuff you said that he could fix (torn muscles and ligaments, along with abrasions and contusions).

Over-exertion can be fixed so long as it is minor (torn muscle or ligament for example) More advanced healing from Miracles 1 is required to remove exhaustion and replenish stamina.
Apologies if the above was unclear, I'll clarify some. The miracles don't operate by the rules of the universe, they're you bending reality over and telling it what to do, and in the case of the cure wounds series of wounds they explicitly target what you deemed to be wounds. A torn muscle? Sure that seems like an injury. But the small micro-injuries building up over time aren't picked up because they don't fall within what you see as an injury. You may be a god, but it's only recently you got any in-depth understanding of how humans actually work.

Cure Minor wounds can technically do what you want it to, but Deus won't know to do that before reaching higher ranks in his understanding of humans (specifically human biology in this case). Until such a point, miracles brute-force and do almost exactly what they say on the tin. Going by a purely physical sense, it doesn't make much sense that Cure wounds doesn't remove exhaustion as it pretty much restores every injury to a perfect state like it never happened, but for Deus current understanding he thinks of exhaustion and injury as entirely separate things.

This is why Cure wounds will remove over-exertion while cure minor wounds will not, because by the time cure minor wounds picks up on over-exertion being a wound, it's usually too major for it to deal with. In both cases though, it needs to go from just built-up over-exertion to something actually tearing and causing injury.

I want to also buy Divine Resilience, it is cheap and not only good for Izuku but also for getting more hero folowers.

Speaking of, @Nitro how tough/strong can normal humans get in setting? Because, we got some very impressive capes whose powers have nothing to do with physical combat. Primary examples being Eraserhead and Stain, both are very kick ass even without their quirk.

Unaugumented, people like Stain, Eraserhead etc are likely somewhere near the top as far as physicality goes. Sure, there's weightlifters who can bench more or runners who can run faster, but in a practical sense they represent near the top of what a human can do unaided by a physical quirk.

Divine resilience won't quite make a mortal bulletproof, more along the lines of someone trying to stab them instead glancing off and scoring a deep-ish cut instead. And excessive elemental damage will still go through (So no going naked to the arctic or swimming in a reactor).

Is that within the Miracle level 1 we have access to?!

It won't manifest exactly as worded, but a t1 miracle like that is possible. The obvious downside is that it takes a long time to achieve full potential with a daily mana cost. Upside that it has a very high cap and is permanent.

What has always left me wondering, is if normal people can get that exceptional without their quirk (Stain spent most of his fight unable to use his, and he still pushed the combo of Izuku, Todoroki, and Iidya to their limits), why are people so dead-fast on that you can't be a Hero without a Quirk.

Is Divine Resilience permanent? If no, how long does each casting last? If yes, can we choose to take it away from people?
Would Divine Resilience increase stamina and what not? And would it interfere with Deku's training if we cast it on him now?

I think the hero/villain system is just the classification of people who use their quirks to stop/commit crime. Regular police just don't use their quirks, you HAVE to be a hero to be allowed to use your quirk in public, especially to stop crime. Heroes are really more of quirk police than anything else, so if you don't have a quirk, it makes every sense that you'd be part of the police instead who deal with non-quirk related crime.

As for the questions, in order: It is permanent, yes it can be taken away from people. Additionally, it can only be applied on worshippers and is immediately lost if they stop believing or convert to another deity. It does nothing to stamina and wouldn't really do anything to Deku's training at present. (except maybe save him some scrapes or bruises from lugging around heavy stuff).

[X]You now have access to the internet, but it is a crude form of access. Keep working at it, you don't want the mortals to be able to tell every time you go information diving.
[X]Dream of yourself. You will spend a significant portion of the week with your attention turned inwards into yourself in a dream of sorts in an attempt to repair some of the divine memories you are missing, they might give you some clues of the fates of the previous deities that once lived on this world.
[X]Observe Izukus social interactions. You know how his work ethic is, but how does he interact at home and at school? He will be your prophet one day and you need to ascertain whether he needs coaching at being sociable or not.
[X] Buy Omniscience 1 10xp: Allows you to splityour attention to a dozen places at once. Future upgrades drastically increases this.
[X] Buy Divine Resilience (2mp) 5xp: Infuse a mortal with a spark of your divine resilience, rendering them immune to most elemental discomforts (heat/cold/radiation etc) as well as granting them massive resistance to physical injury.

[X]Continue working on the new miracle! (3 timeslots left to completion, can be selected more than once)
-[X] Focus on the goal of the miracle: 'To Better Oneself'. A miracle that is to be applied at the end of every day, and which will transform the target in a way that will greatly enhance their ability in doing what they did that day through a transformation of the body and self, scaling in accordance with the investment of time and effort into each thing they did. The body will be slowly but surely transformed through repeated castings of the miracle into one that can push past the limits of mundane biology and matter, replacing the body with metamaterials that both enhance the gains made by the body in whatever skill or physical development happened as well as remove the existing cap. The aim is to have the target approach a more exalted form of themselves through their hard work.

I think one of our next steps, after this, should be to convert Inko. With our almost solid understanding of humanity, should be easy enough, with Izuku's assistance: have him tell her about us, show off his newfound minor miracles, maybe throw in some God Rays, finally explain the details through dreams and/or phone messages. This will double the amount of worshippers we have, bring them closer together, plus Inko is not nearly as liable to get herself hurt or killed as Izuku, so she won't require as much attention either.

Overall though, finding new converts is going to be problematic, as any supernatural phenomena will be brushed off as technological or quirk-related, and anyone who does realize it's supernatural will be far more likely to assume the source is one of the gods from existing religions, and will be very hard to convince otherwise. We should be on the lookout for any good opportunities, like the one with Izuku.
