[X] Squish that shadowy bug. There is no greater feeling than to show a maggot his place - in the ground.

Really why on Earth are people not voting to kill the assassin while they are right there, sitting there and drinking wine is the sort of thing archer Gil would do, this is caster and he takes things much more seriously.

Look at the skill Kings Return on the character sheet. Sitting there and drinking while watching ruler and assassin fight is exactly the sort of situation caster Gil matured past doing, symbolised by that skill.

And why on Earth people voting on interrupting in a fight, to attack Assasin about who we don't know anything(outside the fact that he have A++ anti unit noble Phantasm), while we have a injured master on our hands and no established workshop? And show on what we capable off(and thus losing advantage of anonimity), while having no true confidence we actually would be able to kill him?
It's not truly our fight and ruler can handle himself perfectly. While we do things that actually matter. Like creation of a Temple for example.

I think it's less about helping Ruler and more about trying to make sure Assassin dies here and now (on account of being potentially the most troublesome class to deal with, if allowed to act smartly). Constantine would most likely win on his own, but there are good chances he won't finish the job.

That wine option though... tempting, very tempting.

We have the advantage here to surprise him while he is occupied by Ruler. Only Archer Gil will do the stupid decision of holding back and let Assassin use his NB. We won't. We will be quick and precise and there will be no troublesome Servant in the future who target the Masters. Not killing him is wasting an early opportunity.
EDIT: Ninja'd :ninja:

We don't even have the guarantee that we will be able to kill Assassin so early. Also, as I've said earlier, if we intervene here, Ruler will most likely lose the combat bonus he gets from Divine Protection and Assassin will most likely use his A++ Anti Unit Noble Phantasm as his first move . Furtheremore, if we fail to kill him here, the Black Faction will know more about Caster Gil and they'll be able to start making countermeasure for us, which is not a good thing. The smart decision here is to leave and deny the Black Faction any information on us and also not risk the safety of our master against an Assassin. Only Archer Gil would insist on either fighting or staying and drinking wine because he's bored. Caster Gil would leave, as he has nothing to gain from this battle.

You like don't even know who he is and what he have(except this noble phantasm, he can use against Rin for example), but you still think that you can easily kill him. He's Assasin. The moment you will try attack him he will do two things.
Either he try to snipe our master, or he will retreat.
With this skill(and plenty unknown ones, including NP) :
Covenant of Shadows (EX): Proof of the Servant's communion with the darkness of the abyss itself, it is a pact which provides various blessings and protections from mental effects and even a low degree of Magic Resistance. In addition, it allows the Servant a limited amount of control over the shadows. At this rank, the Servant is able to become one with the shadows as a form of invisibility and even capable of moving through them as if they were portals.
I sincerely doubt you will sqush him "easy". Only thing you will do is lose anonimity advantage.

You're right, of course. Assassin could very well have a trump card allowing him to escape. Nonetheless, I think it's worth taking the chance right now.

However, I do take issue with the whole "Caster!Gil would never do that!". He might, or he might not, depending of the situation. More importantly this is a quest, and provided something isn't grossly out of character - and if this was, it wouldn't be a vote option - his behaviour isn't set in stone.

Guy can teleport trough shadows he don't need any trump card, he is Assasin who don't suffer from "honor disease" the moment he is at disadvantage(moment we attack), he just retreat. And since we are not at our Temple territory we can't do shit to stop him.

Caster gil doesn't take things more seriously; the one thing we see him taking seriously, Goetia's attack, is something that archer gil takes seriously as well. Caster Gil, especially post-singularity, is definitely more willing to take action, but he still has the same essential arrogance that he's above things.

This should be the next Fate crossover on this site:

Teenage magus, Timmy Turner is the saddest child on the world. Blessed by the Fairies of Avalon, he summons two Caster-class Servants: Cosmo (actually Shirou Emiya) and Wanda (actually Illaysviel von Einzbern). Together, they have to fight in the Holy Grail War and defeat the other Servants in order to fulfill Timmy's wishes wish of reaching Akasha.

Now that I realized that Poof is a thing that exists, this sound really weird with Shirou being pregnant with Illya and all that.

Okay. So if we attack assassin. Use something to flood the area with light and stop him escaping through darkness. Chain him up with enkidu and immediately blast him with a load of noble phantasms before his master can react and withdraw him with a command seal.
And put our armour on to stop his noble phantasm having full effect if he manages to use it before dying.
