Amplification probably provides a better multiplier than 40 percent if it does. Also it give us the option for non-true form of the elder beast which cuts our time to breakthrough in half.

Elder Beast / Prodigious Might / Deliberation voters, please consider switching to Ampli at this delicate and easily overturned juncture of the vote! We can get very close to an FB with that, and Balance's Cultivation multiplier is unchanged with a Truespelled form.

I'm already voting for Amplification, my other vote is just going to Deliberation because I don't care for any of the other options
But yeah, if we can get more Amplification voters that would be nice. I would much prefer our Palimpsest to incorporate elven genetics, now that we have elves to help us.

Why don't we just become a Direction Lord? Seems like the easiest way to gain political power while retaining our freedom.

We don't really need political power though - after we secure our family & Xiaoling's family (& Suizhen's if she has them), we can just up and tell people to do what we want, in proper Overlord fashion. Not formalising our hegemony has distinct advantage of not overturning political structure of Empire and so not causing risk of it falling.
We can be the most influential civilian in the world, or some other way to get vast influence over Empire proceedings without taking the crown.

We should not spend BP on Form of Balance with this new and exciting relevation. We have a chance for an FB immediately after next update - that is worth quite a lot!
The benefits of a Jade Protector cannot be dismissed - its advantage for Strategic Complexion is very good. Nameless himself isn't skilled in administration or how to tend to a failing Empire; Xiaoling hasn't had the opportunity to learn much about it due to being Spoiled; Shen isn't doing anything about it and Aurelia's time is better spent helping us research Diagrams / Cultivate / Ruling the Elves. Involving foreign royalty into home affairs is also a politically iffy and shit move. They will have to go along with it since we're mighty, but it'll build dislike among Cultivators for us.
The Jade Protector lets us be safe since we can be sure that a supernaturally skilled administrator is tending to the needs of the people of the Empire. It is also only a half-stage lower than us - that is above everybody else in the world other than Kong, I would call it pretty darn good. If we take Flesh, it is one stage above us in bodily power.
That is a very large advantage and lets us project a lot more force. Time burns. If we don't save those BP it is going to be one more update - which could be months in-story - of time where the Empire does not have a protector to safeguard it and manage its failing administration, increasing risk that it falls if Overgrowth has Titanic or trans-Titanic monstrosities the three Titans on out side cannot deal with and generally increasing casualties amongst the people.

I still favor Amplification, so we can save on BP. We don't know exactly what it does, but even the remote possibility of further stage-boosters is worth gambling on. If the Tribulation has a fixed difficulty, that'll be worth its weight in gold. If that doesn't pan out, oh well, more Cultivation speed multipliers for us. However, the holistic benefits of the Form of Balance would be useful for all sorts of things, including negotiating with the Extrusion and talking Yong Shen around, so it's not a very strong preference.
Alternatively, if we have the BP we could get FB Palimpsest, which is kind of interesting given our interest in the elves. Not sure if we want to, but it's worth a thought.
(True Half-Elf-ness is, after all, one candidate for how to "inherit" Aurelia's Ring. And everyone would like a stage booster for Tribulation, I'd expect.)

Is the Jade Protector a sapient being in its own right? If so then I don't want it as the Extrusion is enough to deal with.
I expect a True version would be, but I'm not sure about the basic Diagram.

FB Form of Balance is a no, because it is bland and boring and shit. Elder Beast FB would be a yes from me- becoming an unholy, True fusion of the final boss Kong and the goody-good Elves would be extremely lol and I would vote vote for it in a heartbeat*

I don't see why we don't just FB Palimpsest and not gamble if combat power is so important.
As far as I know it's not, but as Dwarf says Truespell could possibly go that way though could also do something else.
