Though still, I ask others:

Why are we voting to be a dick? I mean, what's the point? Why are we voting for this? If we just don't want people getting into serious trouble why not vote for the option to have him promise not to do it?

Or at the very least if we're worried about security concerns, add in a write-in to tell Anakin or Ahsoka about it, who are the least likely to get people in trouble over it or would at least cover for people.
It is really rude to mass tag people, especially people who simply voted.

[X] Ask Jayne to tell the authorities about him. To confess and throw himself on their mercy.

[X] Say that he's free to go, but that he needs to swear not to sneak out again. It's not safe for him, and if he gets in trouble it'll hurt his career, when he's only a year or two from leaving the Temple all the time as a Padawan.

Something I thought of- what happens if something happens to him during one of his outings? I mean, we would of had the choice to keep him from doing so or getting some of the Jedi involved and we didn't. Add in the fact that Couracant isn't really known for being safe and him being alone seems like bad things could happen if nothing is done.

I figure that they won't do anything overly harsh to him and more importantly will get someone to look after him while he goes on the trips outside.

I don't see it as much different from tagging people who voted for a plan to try and offer a compromise, or etc?

It's far ruder to vote and leave, especially with a controversial vote topic that could severely affect the quest.

Don't get heated about it though.

And I think as a general principle (although I can't enforce rules or whatever) Don't mass tag more than once in a voting period? Overuse makes it annoying, but once to get people's attention is alright. I just don't want it to get to "Everyone who voted X you're wrong and going to get Nima killed" or something overly dramatic because that'll hurt the mood and maybe voting participation. Asking questions politely would be preferable.

I think it's a bit harsh compared to just getting him to say "I won't do it again" and if we really must tell someone to tell Ahsoka.

If we send him to the teachers we're explicitly sending him to be punished, which is a bit cruel and seems to make Nima out as a super "The rules are the rules!" What with what happened with Hannah and Anakin and that kind of person is really kind of a jerk. Besides, if we go with him then he has someone watching his back right?

And hey, Wessen has force cloaking! Surely that's a useful skill we should encourage developing.

Edit: Actually quick question, why have none of us talked about the massive force presence Nima sensed?

I don't know. I thought it'd be an important thing to talk about. But what do I know? :V

I was under the impression we were a little more concerned with overturning the initial bandwagon.
Point, a shame the initial bandwagon didn't focus on that so we could discuss it more. Now I think the good idea we've come up with is being brushed aside because we needed to stop that disaster.

Still, could be a good thing to discuss, if only to draw people in and notice the write-in that's been concocted. :V

I mean, it's not like we have any idea what it is?
Maybe we will get an option to investigate later on.

Or is it something known from EU (now Legends I guess)?
Well, it's either the Nexus of the force or the ancient Sith Temple the Jedi built the temple over because they thought training Jedi over it would bury it and would in no way slowly corrupt them.

I am not joking.

In fact, I think in recent canon Palpy said it was the thing clouding the Jedi's vision that they kept going on about.

Edit: It's also the reason he built the Imperial Palace on the Jedi Temple. Because there is a giant Sith Temple there.

Very, very far below.

It would be a very long crack that could lead down there, but you don't actually know how long the crack goes on for.

Nima being able to sense things from it might or might not matter? Depends on how strong you think whatever's on the other side is. Would the Sith Temple be active enough to be felt through an entire mountain, even with a crack? But to be fair, Palpy thought the Temple was doing something at that distance.

Or it could be a tiny weak holocron a few feet down. :p

Could be anything really.

5000 years of Jedi tend to leave stuff buried all over the place.

The rudeness was in two ways. One is that not everyone has the time to spend time arguing about something in a sci-fi quest. The rudeness lies in badgering people who stayed out of an argument, regardless of what the argument may be. The second is mass tagging people of an opposing side, especially with the sole purpose of decrying their choice. That is more likely to create spite votes than it is to convince people.

[X] Ask Jeyne to look into other possible security breaches with you and your friends. Perhaps you can find more important vulnerabilities. Even join him on his trips outside the Temple sometimes. It would give you experience on the street, which will be useful if and when you become a Jedi. Besides which, isn't the Living Force about connections with life?
