[X] Say that he's free to go, but that he needs to swear not to sneak out again. It's not safe for him, and if he gets in trouble it'll hurt his career, when he's only a year or two from leaving the Temple all the time as a Padawan.

Surprise! This was an AU all along, and Palpatine was actually a good guy!

The real sith mastermind lurking in the background is Darth Yoda.

Or is it?

Anakin is literally the last person we want to know about this OOC, given it's a potential contingency against him going evil
I was saying it IC-wise. There's always Ahsoka.

Anyways I'm torn between just letting him go or just getting him not to promise to do it again. If people are concerned on the security risk we can inform Ahsoka about it either way and ask her not to tell anyone.

[X] Ask Jayne if he can just happen to mention that he found an air duct down there, and then hope they fixed the problem.

Don't want to get him in big trouble, but don't want to let it continue too.

Also,
After all, she'd been pressed up against him in the vents.

"Where did you…" Jayne said.

"I was hiding," Wessen said.

"It doesn't work like that. I was using the Force to tell if there was anyone there. You don't just… hide from the Force. Wait, are you in the Master's class?"

"The… Master?" Nima asked.

"Who?" Wessen asked.

"That's no," Jayne said, quietly, with a shake of his head and a bit of a chuckle. "Maybe you should?"

Wessen was excited, her tentacles flailing, triumph at having done something right filling her. "W-why did you do it, Jayne?"

We must protect this tentacle-smile.

[X] Say that he's free to go, no strings attached. He can do as he wishes, though she'd ask him to consider, again, the risks inherent in what he was doing.

That said;
Why are we voting to be a dick? I mean, what's the point? Why are we voting for this? If we just don't want people getting into serious trouble why not vote for the option to have him promise not to do it?

Or at the very least if we're worried about security concerns, add in a write-in to tell Anakin or Ahsoka about it, who are the least likely to get people in trouble over it or would at least cover for people.
How exactly are we being a dick here with that option? We're not doing anything to him.

Edit: so I like this write in and yet... I'm doing exactly what I said I didn't want to do and splitting the vote. Guess I'll have to try and keep a good eye on this one.

[X] Ask Jeyne to look into other possible security breaches with you and your friends. Perhaps you can find more important vulnerabilities. Even join him on his trips outside the Temple sometimes. It would give you experience on the street, which will be useful if and when you become a Jedi. Besides which, isn't the Living Force about connections with life?

I kind of want it as an escape route and I wasn't too happy about telling on Hannah. I'd rather be less of a perfect little jedi to be and actually be curious about life outside the jedi.

Also guys, we can't really afford to split our votes here. I don't know how to link those who have taken one of the more lenient approaches but we need to pick one rather than split the votes...

And you didn't do anything to Hannah, reasonably speaking. She broke a temple rule, and regardless of why Nima wanted to see her punished for that especially, Nima didn't do anything, so nothing for her to worry over, mm?

I suppose it depends on what you think the punishment for sneaking out of the temple might be, also.

Better tell him to stop sneaking out, he's going to get caught eventually if this keeps up.

But that's not the option to report him, it's the option to say we think he should report himself! If he doesn't, he faces NO CONSEQUENCES, unless another jedi discovers him. The ball is in his court.

The intention was, I think, that asking him to do that means that he will. Maybe not tonight, but it's not just suggesting it and then never following up. It's a step down from going and reporting him yourself in terms of making sure something happens, of course, but it's not the option you want to vote for if you don't want the authorities to find out.

Like I said, if people are that worried about anything we could vote to tell Ahsoka.

I'll vote for letting him go if it's leading. Kinda fine with any of the last two. Letting him go no strings attached makes me think it's Nima getting more curious on the outside world while asking him not to do it again sounds like Nima just worried about someone getting hurt which makes sense for her character.

Hmmm......

My first instinct was to stick with the rules, and try to get Jeyne to report himself (after hiding the credits). I'm assuming Yoda would be pretty cool about it and worst comes to worst I think Jeyne would be taken in by the Exploration Corps if he can't meet the Trials. In these times of war this is also a security breach.

Nevertheless, and understanding that Nima is still somewhat guilty about Hannah.... so what is optimal or right or rational may not be the best IC choice in the heat of the moment.

I think we should encourage Jeyne's activities here. The major problem with the Jedi was that they were too out of touch; they need more Living Force adepts, individuals willing and able to appreciate the connection with average joes on the street. And of course this will be of benefit to us if and when the Purge starts.

[] Say that he's free to go, no strings attached. He can do as he wishes, though she'd ask him to consider, again, the risks inherent in what he was doing.
--this implies Nima leaning into that "live in the moment" philosophy which I think would be beneficial to encourage. But it doesn't go far enough, and I don't trust Jeyne by himself to avoid getting into trouble.

this is a write in that sort of encompasses what I want; Nima is sort of thinking about her mother- even though she has (reasonably IMHO) decided to let it lie, but I think that this recent excursion into the lower temple suggests a more adventurous side which I would like to encourage, even or especially if it gets us in trouble later.

That write-in still involves telling people about the vent in the hopes that it and all other vulnerabilities are closed shut.

It's a pretty good idea, I like it. But, one caveat. While Yoda's a great guy and would probably encourage a bit of independence he's still thinking about the entire order. I know I keep hammering on about it, but Ahsoka could be a good middle-ground. She is canonically the teachers-pet to Yoda, who he basically called upon to help teach for... actually a lot.

Plus Ahsoka could not mention certain things that would get us in trouble, like us hanging out outside the temple.

Vote changed.

Love this, would be great to see her more open minded after the Hannah thing.

Made some changes, keep it open ended, can tell Yoda another day.

I'm voting for this because I want Nima to become more independent. I mean my only problem with the leading vote is it doesn't really have Nima herself becoming more independent. I mean it's alright for building Nima as just really worried about others but still, not a whole lot of independence there.
