    Weather has been making my life difficult; it's hard for me to write (or function) without going outside and seeing the sun regularly, but it's also been at or above 82 degrees F for well over a month at this point. Usually hotter.

    Found myself thinking about Revision (the quest, not the concept, get thee away exams!) Today, and that got me to think I'd check in and see how life's treating you. Hope you're well. It also alerted me to missing a story or two that I know at least one side of, so my list grows ever longer 😂

    Going alright, on the whole; doing well in classes and managed to get a scholarship, so I'm very happy about that. I've been able to write a healthy chunk of An Impractical Guide to Ascension since my semester ended and have more outlined, but but not so much writing over the last week due to sleep issues. I'm hoping to get those sorted out soon, though.

    Reading the Valdmar series has prompted me to reread Ignition with new appreciation. If you don't intend to continue Ignition is it possible that you could hand the story onto someone else? I am certain that you would find many volunteers. I suspect that Ignition might do better continuing on as a story rather than a quest.

    I actually didn't want to make any announcements here since it's still going very slowly, but I have sporadically been making progress on that over the last month or so. Once the giant post is done, my plan is to break it into 2-3 chunks and post it over twice as many days. Again, though, it's going slowly so it will still be a while, but "some progress" is better than none.

    Sure, although you might have some irritated readers if you post it during a time of low activity like this. I can't guarantee that I'll update INW soon, but my finals end in a week and I'll have the time and enthusiasm to update something, which may provide a small shield. :p

    Still alive, just having a very stressful and exhausting semester.

    Taking four lectures and two labs, with one of the labs being four hours of lab a week + many more hours spent on papers, and the other being 2 hours of lab + something like 6 hours a week of outside-class lab work + papers.

    I've been reading Fragmentation again, and it was a reminder that while QA is a fantastic character, Upgrade is Best Power. You just can't compete with her sheer cute.

    Yeah, I've really missed writing for Upgrade and the Adair family in general. That world and the characters were a lot of fun, but I'm faced with a pile of my mistakes every time I go back to look at it. I really regret rehashing certain votes so many times, among other things.

    Most things I can say in response to that aren't really helpful, but at least from the reader perspective, the good definitely outweighs the bad. Like, by a lot.
    I'd say you could go the QA way and continue it as a story instead, but the feel is tied to the nature as a quest.

    It was not deliberate; I'm referring to the period of low activity over the summer and a few preceding months. I kept pushing myself to finish and post for specific stories and, uh. It didn't go well. I'm doing much better now.

    It's a really cool free AI writing program. Whenever you get stuck for what ever reason you give it your story so far and it writes out a fairly good guess about what comes next. It can be a bit hit or miss, but what it writes is usually at least good inspiration.

    ...Less okay than I was a few hours ago, lol. Professor for the Spanish Class from Hell went from "You must bring all answers the day of the final and turn them in" to a standard no-notes-allowed final exam. Raised hopes only to dash them, it seems.

    Turns out that so many other people have given up on this class that I'm one of less than five students who are actually still doing everything without resorting to obvious google translate or sharing of (incorrect) answers. So hey, at least I might end up getting an A? I'll take my victories where I can get them at this point.

    Properly medicated, mostly rested, and vitamin levels are back up; I feel much better now! Running behind schedule for Revolution, but progress is progress and I'll try to fill in a blank tonight so I can at least send most of the next update to betas even if it isn't quite all done. (EDIT: Hahaha optimism -_-)

    I also learned that apparently part of why this Spanish course has been hell is that there used to be a Spanish.100 thaaat no longer exists. And our teacher has been acting as though it does. So, uh, I'll try to tell her about that so future students will hopefully have an easier time.
