We're actually in Mass effect, Eden Prime specifically. Not Elder scrolls :(

If it is, the dig site makes it sound like it's right before the opening mission. Edit: Alternatively, we've just stumbled into the From Ashes DLC.

Depends on if Louise speaks anything remotely similar to modern French or not.

Oh just came up.

How good is Majestic against ME shields?

I mean their weapons fire a sand grind size "slug" at hypersonic velocity (speeds of Mach 5 and above) and those shields can take multiple such rounds (except "Executioner Pistol" shots).
