We dont pay rent!(Haunting Riot Quest)

Under the cloak of night, two figures engaged in clandestine conversation, their voices muffled by the barrier of a magic veil. In the kitchen stood an elderly woman, her demeanor exuding an icy composure, her attire adorned with celestial patterns. With regal poise, she cast her gaze upon a peculiar creature from the depths of the closet. This elongated, slender being wore a patchwork ensemble, a collection of trinkets and remnants from eras long past. Its beak, divided into four distinct parts, opened wide, emitting a voice that oscillated between the echoes of time. It resonated like a raven fiercely guarding its coveted treasures. A faint glimmer of enchantments and curses flickered within the creature's eyes, hinting at an ancient burden long forgotten. In this clandestine encounter, the two figures engaged in their mysterious discourse.

"Hermit, I am well aware of your intentions, and my response remains an unwavering no!"

"Do not underestimate the power of the Closet God, as if some ancient crone could impede its will!"

"That very same ancient crone possesses the knowledge to seal the door for eternity."

"You shall not proceed! The peril it poses to those in proximity is far too great, and your heart is too tender!"

"Test me, Francesco, just as you have done in times past..."

"Very well! I shall lend you the sacred Card Reading deck! However, you must bring forth something of intrigue into my realm. Can you make such a promise?"

"Fear not, for I shall bring forth the bone of a saint from my clandestine cache."

Francesco is a True Name of the God of Closet, but almost no one knows it. Probably two people in the world. And it's cursed to make it hard for those who knows to tell others. Names can bestow more leverage, when you talking with things of non-physical reality. Hermit is his nickname, or Crow - he let other people use both of these when talking to him and about him. The God of Closet or the Closet God is a title, name linked to his domain and its more formal, respectful name.

We should come up with a name for the apartment. Simply calling it The Apartment sounds too bland.
How about this:

Ivory Manor stands proudly as the most ancient edifice on Rosewood Street. Remarkably, it remains in impeccable condition despite the passage of time. Curiously, the foundation of this structure is crafted from marble, lending an air of elegance and intrigue. Once upon a time, a garden adorned the estate's surroundings, showcasing a rare species of white roses that bestowed upon the house its distinguished name. Nestled within the aged quarter of the city, Ivory Manor holds its place as a cherished gem within a charming locale.

Edit: The Hermit is in pursuit of an ancient artifact that resides within the cursed depths of this place. However, he cannot simply seize it due to various compelling reasons. Firstly, the artifact is intricately connected to a nexus, making it unwise for him to venture beyond his own dimension while it undergoes transformation. Moreover, the artifact possesses immense mystical power and is accompanied by numerous other complexities. Thus, throughout the years, he has diligently devised and orchestrated various rituals, amalgamations of artifacts, and spells in order to ultimately retrieve this coveted item. Nevertheless, the Hermit requires the assistance of a skilled and formidable magician from the outside world to potentially accomplish this feat. Consequently, he persistently implores the Landlord for aid, yet she repeatedly dismisses his plans. Her reasoning is not unfounded, as this endeavor is exceedingly intricate and delicate. The Hermit's ideas are imperfect, some even hazardous, with certain blind spots that her divination skill can accurately pinpoint. It enables her to foresee the potential calamities that may arise from overlooking seemingly inconsequential details. Landlord also not sure, if it wise to let Francesco to unanchor his dimension and let traverse the world freely, and she is not sure about full scope of different magical connecions and hidden things this place accumulated like one big sponge for everything paranormal and mystical.

Or is it perfectly ominous?
Well, this place may have several names, I think. It just need some reason, maybe even backstory. How about this is the only Apartment left on the Rosewood Street? Buildings converted into something else, some completely bought out for housing by slightly strange people and families... Or something like that. So it became the Apartment. Well, or maybe its just on everyone's lips in the neighborhood.

So the future if it lived up to what the past imagined it to be?
More like present, stuck in the 80s. Like, if VHS never died, but get optimized and a bit evolved. And internet didn't become so popular, stuck culturally and technologically in earlier epoch. TV and Radio still rule the media, even if this stretch of epoch soon going to crash. At least this is what my sleep deprived brain dreamed up.
