I'm expecting ComStar to pull of some completely unknown trick from their sleeve... C* is way too tricky to not have a contingency plan of some sort

Well, what do you think they might do? Activate a Jumper's FTL drive and launch it into the oncoming ships? Actually what would a jump drive do if it was activated on a planet or if a JumpShip flew into a planet with its jump drive active?

Probably fail well before entering the gravity well.

It would definitely fail, the KF Drive cannot be safely activated inside a gravity well, BT uses Lagrange points (the most important being the suns polar LG points) for activation. Moreover, BT FTL is basically a point to point teleport. So there is no noticeable crossing of the distance or chance to impact objects on the way.

(BUT! ComStar does still have its WarShips, Delta only ever successfully got one.)

Exactly. Honestly i'm expecting some crazy order to overload the reactors and kamikaze something just out of spite. Either that or some super duper blacks ops shit that only the very highest echelons knew of without any digital evidence of it or something equally crazy shit. Cultists can oh so predictable after all...

Except when they aren't... Crazy is unpredictable unless you're a topnotch precog:wtf:

I feel like he's biting off way more then he can chew at what point does the size of his not so little empire change the story to be about the universes he visits and more about managing the different people and cultures of the his empire. That said mechwarror is a mess of a setting anyway even setting it literally on fire is a improvement.

The universe visit order has been subject to a bit of a shuffle and rework.

Due to public interest Elite Dangerous and Dead Space have been returned to the roster. Star Trek TNG/VOY/DS9 is now next on the roster. (And Star Trek Online story era has been added for later visitation.)

Some other alternate eras have been shuffled in as well as a couple new items (Starpoint Gemini and Endless Space being the bigger ones.)
Woo hoo, glad to see them back.

VOTING FOR TREK
Woo hoo, glad to see them back.

On the subject of next up. I suppose there comes the important question.

*WHERE* do people want to see Delta arrive in Star Trek. I have absolutely no idea how to set up a vote but.

A: Delta Quadrant somewhat near the Borg/Voyager.
B: Close/Near Deep Space Nine.
C: Near the Klingon Empire.
D: Near the Romulan Empire.

And corollary vote.

1: Have Q show up with a WTF straight off the bat or
2: Have Q sit back with a beer and just watch.

*I'm threadmarking this one as voting, it will be un-threadmarked when Delta jumps.* (If someone wants to point me to a guide for how to do voting/tallies, that'd be great.)

A: Delta Quadrant somewhat near the Borg/Voyager.
best tech grab options with the borg and there data base

1: Have Q show up with a WTF straight off the bat
would be fun Q does keep an eye out on his kathy but later he can start beer drinking
me thinks delta could even be bribed to troll picard

I'd go with:
A: Delta Quadrant somewhat near the Borg/Voyager.

simply because the Borg (and Voyager) present a larger (and funnier) target for trolling than the Klingons, Romulans or Federation (and the Dominion).

A: Delta Quadrant somewhat near the Borg/Voyager.
He will have to get the Federation-Edition Io if/when he gets Voyager back home.

2: Have Q sit back with a beer and just watch.
Q might as well watch and laugh and share a beer with everyone involved.

A. Delta Quadrant somewhat near the Borg/Voyager.

Lots of baddies to off without having to worry about the Federation throwing a hissy fit for you not being peaceful and lots of civilizations to save. Really curious how you'd approaches species 8472.

1: Have Q show up with a WTF straight off the bat.

While I don't think Q would do anything direct, he'd probably stick around as an observer as you're something relatively different from the norm. He'll still probably bother Janeway with the Q shenanigans so there's that. One thing is that I feel that if his son still gets punished, he may want the boy to stay with your group and learn his lesson that way.

Eat that Borg!
C: Near the Klingon Empire.

1 first followed by the beer and watch.

2: Have Q sit back with a beer and just watch.

Q will figure out/know that this is just a temporary visit, so let the interdimensional traveler have their fun and then leave, it should be fun to watch.

@Kadaeux
While you are there remember to pick up the Ocampa. They are psionic power houses with rapid learning capabilities and a shitty biology that sees them dead in 20 with no ability to increase their numbers and only one shot to have a child. BASICALLY a -1 children for every pairing. If you can take them up and fix their biology in both lifespan and birth rates you'd have a real investment.

Not mention after the way Janeway left them their days are numbered.

I'll have to vote:

Voyager is the best place for Delta, Lots of Opportunities and Borg

B: Close/Near Deep Space Nine.

Everyone does Voyager, some DS9 would be great.
