Sword Riot Quest

What are we trying to achieve here? Do we just want the money or do we care about the people?

If the people, do we empathise with the normal people or those sent to die for the nobles? Both?

If we're just looking out for ourselves, do we want a reputation for keeping our word to our employers? Is the higher pay worth ignoring our whims and morals?
Mostly money. If killing the people is more profitable than not (depends on how much loot they got, how thankful they are to us, projected costs of killing them, etc), than I'm all for killing them, but not just over a dime, because then it's not profitable.

--[X] Who are these people? (Do they have uniforms? Banners? Battlecries?)
--[X] Get a feel for the city (ambush spots to avoid, ambush spots to use)
--[X] This seems eerily familiar, check the rebels for awakened swords? (Surely you can find some casualties to examine)

The vast majority voted to help the rebels, and I have left it open for quite a while, but there isn't an update (because nothing has actually happened). So, here are your choices.

[] Use the sword channelers to cut your way in at a different location.
[] Announce yourself at the gate [Requires Majority of those who vote to do something]
[] Tunnel your way in.
[] Keep watch from the walls.
[] Write in.

Hopefully we won't have such terrible rolls again.

Fixed spelling.

[X] Keep watch from the walls.
-[X] Commander Erica

I figure whatever else happens, it's good to have info about troop movements.

I was hoping for more votes, but it looks like this is it. Vote locked.

Bonus: 15

[X] Tunnel your way in.

Finally Made It
One final attempt is made to cut your way into the city, and it finally succeeds. Several sword channelers working together managed to cut an opening in the wall so the company could head inside, although, not at once. Nobody was crushed by the block they cut out of the wall, but a few whisper that it was a close call.

A single soldier also continued extending the tunnel under the city, and it is close to completion. Of course, it wasn't needed anyways, since the sword channelers managed to cut their way in. The company also decided almost unanimously to help the rebels against the guards, at least for now, but it turned out to be unnecessary.

Commander Erica stayed on top of the walls to report to the company how the battle was going. While the company was trying to get inside, the rebels forced the majority of the guards to fall back to the palace in the center of the city. Once they were there, the rebels threw themselves at the guardsmen. The rebels took losses, but quickly overwhelmed the guards with the streangth of numbers and took the palace. After this, the rebels quickly rooted out any pockets of resistance. The few remaining guards were forced either surrender or die. After there victory, the rebels started celebrating, and also looting, starting with the palace. It looks like you don't need to do anything more to complete your contract.

(Regular Vote)
[] Leave and collect your money
[] Try to loot the areas the rebels haven't gotten to before they can.
[] Attack the rebels
[] See if the rebels will hire you

The swords thirst for blood and battle. We don't need to rout them but shook them enough to run for the moment.
[X] Attack the rebels
-[X] Leave them a clear path out of the city.
-[X] Play our moniker "Demons of Battle" by holwing (or similar) to frighten the rebels to retreat as well.
-[X] Don't go after fleeing combatans. Even if it means that they regroup.
--[X] Iron Warriors and Whirlwind Fighters team up.
--[X] Everblock follow (and protect) Berserker.
--[X] Sword Saints and Channelers team up.

Edit: This will be a fight street for street without clear or large groupings. And I am bad at writing a tatical plan...

@Dark Ness About how many rebels are there?
12 times your company.

You don't have to make a plan now, I was going to ask for one or give you options if fight won. Also, you don't have any instruments to play anything.

That makes it easier for now. And you don't need an instument to howl and/or scream.

[X] Attack the rebels

@Trondason And we won against 7 times our number of trained soldiers using better armor than we had than.

A few things to note before voting to fight.

The guards had better weapons, armour, training, and discipline than the rebels and it didn't seem to help them that much.
This will not be a straightforward fight. The Rebels used ambush tactics to defeat the guards, which is something our group hasn't dealt with before.
The ones who would rush us and fall upon our blades sounded like the exception, not the standard.
This is not familiar territory for us, and is intimately familiar to the rebels.
We have never fought in an urban environment.
Splitting the party against an ambush heavy force will end in a lot of dead warriors.

I know. But I don't think the better armor made them worth two times someone with lesser armor.
Yes but the disciplin makes them. Remember back to the first fight when the sword awoke.

You are right. But at the same time the rebels think they have won and their fighting groups have disbanded. Many of them may even be to tired to fight again.
