I have a rough idea, my PC will be a unicorn, not sure what their abilities should be at the moment, maybe something to do with water/the sea?

I'm trying to get a sense of what's happened so far but there's so much to get through it may take awhile, still working my way through the first IC thread on SB
I highly recommend starting at one of the threadmarks in the SV IC thread. Most of what happened in the SB IC thread has long since become more of an abstract history, with many of the original characters having since been replaced as players came and went, and most of the specific actions being irrelevant at this point. The threadmarks list off the really important stuff that's happened so far.

@Mina. Mina, plz hurry if life allows it. Dalek is experiencing something new from the wait. He's experiencing what it's like to not be the poster everyone's waiting on, and it's frightening and confusing him! Help us Mina, you're our only hope!

I'm not even mad to be honest. I think this is fair play for all the times I went AWOL.

Now I'm imagining Sunset all confused, without access to lists, cake, or books.
Edit: My headcanon is that all of Celly's personal students act similar, due to Celestia's teaching methods. Oh, and a love of Pyromania.

So is there anything I can do to speed things up on this laundry list? I'm aware that a lot of stuff is going to be revolving around Celestia after this bonding scene is done, what with @Xellos getting the piglet curse altered and probably a bunch of other people wanting to talk with her (Cadence and Armor included), and then deciding where everyone's going to head to next.

Personal update on my front: in Georgia right now, might be a day or two before I get home.

Man, Rythian can just not find a team that he gets along with, can he?

Every single one has some terrible flaw.
At least Steel Company doesn't want to cause Fallout: Equestria to happen, and Genocide"Befriend" all of Equestria.
...
That's what HLF wants to do, right? I know I'm sick, but am I close? I do not want to see what atomic radiation does to magic stuff like the creatures and gems all over Equestria...

My money is on full on 'Deadlands: Hell on Earth'. As in full on horror show.

Tell me @Cyrus 21, if you were someone on the HLF board under these set of circumstances, what would you do?
...good point. The HLF don't know about the brainwashing. And they've probably run out of other options. So...

I guess it makes sense that they'd use a literal Nuclear Option. Also, so far humanity has really only seen the brainwashed and the fanatics. Like I said, they don't know what Steel company knows, or what we know in OOC.

You appear to have missed something in the IC. In the very post we're discussing, no less. Not to mention the number of times it's cropped up as plot points throughout the game. The HLF is aware that there are ponies who are not zealous fanatics or brainwashed sycophants.

For the love of god there are not-brainwashed, not-fanatical ponies in the scene for Rythian just before this one.

(Did Trixie come with to the nuke meeting?)

Now I feel stupid. I was extremely tired earlier, and spent a chunk of the day in and out of sleep.

I guess I should have explained myself better earlier. My apologies.
Edit: I hate making myself look stupid, or ignorant. I should have said something else. Like how the Company knows that the Empress is just another puppet, that of the Nightmare.

I wonder if they realize that Rythian only half-counts. :V
I think that right now, Rythan is having second thoughts about all of this.

Rythan: "...Am I cursed or something? This is the second group that had something horrible about it." *Sighs* "At least Steel Company didn't use nukes..."

Wait till he finds out that Steel Company managed to snag the heads of the Crystal Empire, with minimal casualties. That will be a mindwhammy. :V

I mean, the potion is a biological weapon, and the US, having eliminated its biological stockpiles and spent thirty years and counting destroying its chemical weapon stockpiles, has the policy of "a WMD is a WMD, and the only WMD we have to retaliate with is nuclear, so that's what you get" so it's not as if the use of nukes on Equestria is entirely out of order, but, unless I missed something, these are not heads of state making that decision, and no, I don't believe that the use of WMDs should devolve to a head of government when that's not the same person.

This weekend I'll be on a family trip in West Virginia. In the unlikely looking event there's something for Ryouga to respond to, probably won't be able to do so after today until the 7th.

...Wait, so if I'm parsing you correctly, you think that the HLF is a rational actor in these circumstances and that a head of state shouldn't be able to call in a nuclear strike, right?

Even in my physically under the weather state, I at least think that heads of state should at least be involved when Atomic Weapons are involved.

The big question is...where the hell did the HLF get their hands on nukes? And what kind of nukes. Are we talking Tactical, Strategic, or just Dirty bombs?

Nah. On top of the Discord discussion, this

MAD has disintegrated

makes the decision they've come to rational, and is exactly right, but it's not their decision to come to.

There's a reason my parents don't even ask before buying me any book they find about Truman, Kennedy, or Johnson's conflicts with their generals.
