I'm actually slightly disappointed that you didn't ask Chaac to teach you how to propose. I had a whole hilarious scene and everything ready. As to the guy who thought it would give you something akin to a master or thinker rating, why would you think that? Only bona fide items have given you that much benefit. Skills are a much subtler benefit, although you've mainly been getting unlucky with training rolls.

Well, now that everybody knows that you can get new items from the gods, you had better begin desensitizing them to some of the really weird requests that you get, in case you need their help in the future.
"The item I'm using to enhance my durability is a set of fake vampire bat teeth that I can put over my own teeth. When I do so, I can gain strength and durability based on how much blood I drink. The benefits last for about a day and the fangs protect me from any of the adverse effects of drinking raw blood."
You hear some muted ewwws from the Wards/New Wave section, but nobody else comments before the director asks further questions.
"What kind of blood, and where are you getting it from? Additionally, what task were you required to perform in order to receive this item?" Director Piggot follows up.
"Don't worry, I use animal blood," you say quickly, noting that you didn't clear it up beforehand, "As for how I get the blood, there are grocery stores in Brockton Bay that sell frozen pig and cow blood as a cooking ingredient. I won't mention specifically which one because I now go there regularly to buy some. As for how I got the item, I was asked to host a feast for vampire bats, a task given to me by Camazotz, the Mayan God of Bats. Thus, I had to source a significant amount of animal blood to feed all the bats." You hear an uptick in muttering going about the crowd so you decide to try and inject some humor in while preempting any questions, "Yes, the feast was completely disgusting, bats can't exactly be described as neat."
The next question you get is actually from Dauntless, and it's about Apollo's chariot, and how it works. Your answer basically sums up to, "It just does," but you are distracted from the questioning. You think that now would be an excellent time to surreptitiously tell someone about Coil, you even have a god who speaks an obscure Mesoamerican language. All you need is to ensure that Armsmaster gets a recording and hope that nobody else does. You know that the podium is being recorded, but hopefully, if you catch him off to the side, nobody else will see.
After you step off the podium, Armsmaster goes back up to introduce the next person who will be speaking, which turns out to be Velocity, who was actually on scene before the rest of the Protectorate, performing mostly search and rescue. You don't have time to really keep track of the briefing, as you are on the hunt for a piece of paper to write on. You don't actually move about the room, as that would be both noticeable and distracting, instead, you simply sit in your chair and have Chaac look around the room. You have a sharpie, for signing autographs, so you don't need to look for a writing utensil. Luckily, you find what appears to be a discarded envelope lying on one of the tables. You consider having Chaac retrieve it for you, but Chaac is even more noticeable than you are. His massive size precludes any kind of stealth, so you decide to wait.
Since you were focused on finding some paper, you did miss a part of the briefing, specifically the part where they talk about how they captured Stormtiger and Cricket. Armsmaster is back at the podium, and he's speaking of a big showdown between the Protectorate, Hookwolf, and the ABB capes.
"Once it became clear that the Protectorate was out in full force, Hookwolf attempted to flee. He was intercepted by Velocity, who, with assistance from Miss Militia, restrained him with containment foam. Assault, Battery, and I moved around Lung as he was too ramped up to fight directly. Rather than going for a frontal assault, we avoided his attacks and directed him away from attacking buildings that were not evacuated or on fire, minimizing property damage and civilian casualties. Oni Lee, using a set of Explosive's grenades attempted to limit our movements or hit us with potentially lethal effects. My combat algorithm was able to correctly predict Oni Lee's likely teleportation strikes with an accuracy above 80%, allowing us to avoid them without injury."
"Why did Lung choose to run? If he was too ramped up to engage, I don't understand why he would flee," asks Aegis
"After not landing any attacks on the Protectorate, and none of us striking back, Lung started to shrink. Once he noticed that he was no longer ramping upward, he chose to flee rather than fight. Pursuit was attempted but cut off by several of Explosive's creations."
"How did Hookwolf and Stormtiger escape?" asks Shielder.
"Several buildings in the surrounding area were in danger of collapsing due to collateral damage from the fight between Hookwolf and Lung. I made the decision that rather than guarding the transports back to the PRT holding cells, the Protectorate should work to rescue as many people as possible. Pantheon needed medical attention, however, his projections were able to move about freely even as he was unconscious. "I determined that that was an unnecessary risk to the health of Pantheon, Miss Militia, and the PRT agents of that transport."
"Very well," Director Piggot replies in a tone that suggests that the conversation is not over, but won't be continued where there is an audience.
"Are there any other questions?" Armsmaster asks.
This time it's Gallant who takes him up on the offer, "Now that Lung's attacked the Empire, it seems likely that a gang war will break out. What is our plan of action should that be the case?"
"The PRT will move to minimize casualties among civilians while the Protectorate prevents chaos in the city. The Wards will be kept away from any potential large gang skirmishes during this time period," Director Piggot answers before Armsmaster can say anything. You think you hear a snort from the Wards section, but you can't determine who it is based on sound alone.

"What do we know about the new tinker?" Kid Win asks.
"We have observed only that they can make explosives with various esoteric effects such as acid or pain. Analysis provided by Dragon and I on leftover material from their devices suggests that explosives are a design choice by the tinker, rather than a limitation. I would guess that they created the explosives for ease of use. As such, we have been unable to determine the tinker's exact specialty."
"Next question," Armsmaster says, waiting on someone else to ask a question.

Now." Then, you need to find Armsmaster. You see him heading for the door. Rather than break out into a run, you power walk to close the distance, before stepping in front of him.
"Is there anything you need, Pantheon?" he asks, you can tell he wants to be doing something else and is annoyed by your interruption.
"Yes, could you look at this for one second, you say, and hold out the envelope so he can see what you've written."

You do note that the people around you are starting to stare.

Well, you can only hope he bothers to translate that, "Yes," you say, and quickly exit the scene to avoid being asked about what that was about. Armsmaster was positioned right near the door, so it wasn't even that hard. As you leave, you ask the guards outside if they could direct you to the training rooms.

You had decided not to train necromancy with Ah Puch, no matter how you went about it, walking around with corpses would be a huge hit to your image, and you would be better served by simply being better with your fists.
After Chaac runs you through a warm-up, you find yourself joined by Battery.
"Hey Pantheon, didn't expect to see you here," she says casually.
"Yea, I'm just getting some CQC training from Chaac." You do note that she didn't greet Chaac, but you don't comment.
"I'd heard about it from Assault, but It will be interesting to see a p- a god train you," She corrects herself.

Chaac shows you how someone who is both larger and stronger than you will use their advantages, and how you can try and negate them, for example by closing in. As Chaac is stronger than you, even with your blood bonus, you quickly learn to stay just under his strikes. It'll be helpful if you ever need to go up against a Brute.
The training session also gives you time to adapt to your increased strength and weight and by observing Chaac, you can learn to leverage it against those who are not as strong or tough as you. You aren't sure when exactly you'll end up in that situation as any cape who's not strong or durable usually makes an effort to stay out of melee, but it's good to know against regular thugs as well.
By the time you are done, Battery is asking Chaac for tips as well, although hers seem to focus around leveraging her speed. Before you know it, it's already time for you to head home and make dinner, since you have to account for walking north to your base and then back south across downtown to get back home.

Today you're going to summon a Guardian and a Hunter, for you it's a tried and true combination of frontline defense from a Guardian and ranged attack power from the Hunter.
The first one you summon is a green, shirtless man wielding an ax. However, unlike the others, he appears to be shirtless because his face is on his chest, and also smoldering with green fire. His armor has a helmet, but the helmet is actually just empty and attacked to the pauldrons.

The other looks to be wearing a set of traditional Japanese feudal armor, except that the headpiece denotes a leadership position. 'Maybe Shogun?' you guess.
"Hachiman," he introduces himself simply, nodding to you.
Unfortunately, you don't have a lot of time to look them up before you need to call your tutor if you want to cancel or cut short your classes today. You could even say that you're meeting a girl, allowing him to make what assumptions he will. It wouldn't even be a lie.
