SayakaQuest Thread 10: Glory To The Death

You have no fucking chance.

Welp, there is the answer to that question. If we use The Wikipedia, it says that the average of suicide per year is 100 people from 1988.....Each of them are familiars (Or super-familiar, as shown by Wally).....And they cover the area of 35 km3......So that means-

Attention passengers, the Nope Train has arrived. Destination, Nope Town. The train will depart in five minutes.

Whoops, that's my ride. See you later people.

Thousands of super-familiars...and we as a group were getting kicked around by less than 10. Yeah, nope.

So what I'm gathering is that the Aokigahara Witch is that one Bonus Boss in a video game that, even if you get all the best gear and completely max out your party, can still beat your face in without even trying.

Yeah, that sounds like a REAL fun thing to do, a real party. HELL, bring Miho along she'd probably LOVE to tag along.

What assets and party members would we have with us had we went up against the bonus witch?

So, how severe was Chou's memory loss? Did she even remember why she was in Mitakihara?
Her parents think she's dead.

She doesn't even know she has parents.
Well, that's not depressing at all.
...
On the upside, her first (new) memory is Walpurgisnacht, so everything else seems like sunshine and lollipops in comparison.
Everything's great when you're Chou.

You have no fucking chance.

It is the entire Aokigahara forest area. That's the witch.

The bonus to its rolls is literally +900 unless you get to its weak zones.

And even then, those zones are protected by its familiars, which take on the appearances of the deceased, one of whom is Sayaka's father.

If the witch's own attacks, when it finally does attack, don't kill you, the familiars will cause a witchout.
Aannnd the reward for beating was an extra life (In gameover terms.) wasn't? Iunno, I think some poster said that or something.

Quest's over, the blueberry didn't die. If we hadn't gotten an Epilogue, I might be seriously arguing for a suicide mission, but really, everyone lived. There's hope. We got a good end. Let it go.

Come on you guys. It has a freaking base +900 bonus. Without the crit system or exploiting the witch's weak points (hah, like we would live long enough to find them, even with 5 lives), with Sayaka's current bonuses, it is literally impossible for us to beat the witches roll. Hell, I'm not sure if all of the parties' bonuses combined can even surpass 900.

At our level (pre-epilogue at least) all I can see is this being is a 1st (2nd if we are lucky) turn total party kill 5 times in a row...

And that's not even counting the nasty tricks beyond dice rolls Moid has up his sleeve.

This would not be about beating the odds and fighting smart to overcome adversity. At this level of disparity of power, this would be like trying to stop a full speed freight train with a toothpick we would be holding with our teeth (yes, while standing in front of the train); stupidity to the point of pointless (even in the narrative sense) suicide.

Okay so knowing that, what reward would you want to consider fighting the thing?

The only way I can see Sayaka beating the bonus boss if we skip ahead to when she is in her mid-30s or something. Actually, how old is the oldest recorded Magical girl and how powerful was she?

The only way I can think of defeating the Forest is simply convincing the Incubators its a FANTASTIC idea to harvest the griefseed crop.

They might bring in their nukes though.
