I first heard about SayakaQuest when I was going through Fanworks section of TvTropes out of boredom. The premise seemed interesting enough, so I decided to look through it. Needless to say, I was hooked pretty quickly. Even though there was a Story-Only Mode, I decided to stick through the original version because the comment section was just as interesting as the story posts themselves. Even if it was sometimes filled with derailment, unnecessarily heated debates, the occasional shit-poster, and subsequent mod intervention, I didn't regret a single second of it.
Even though I wasn't there from the beginning, I was still able to experience a sad, traumatic, hilarious and crazy roller coaster ride filled with good decisions, bad decisions, nasty consequences for said bad decisions, nigh-impossible acts of badassery, magical lich lesbians, despair, various forms of dismemberment, several instances and acts of gruesome violence and gore, and the fact that even if your left arm is shredded to the bone, your detached right arm is at the far end of the room, there is a gaping hole in your torso, your legs are a mangled, broken mess, the dice gods have a personal vendetta against you, and the enemy is about to strike the finishing blow…
There's still a light at the end of that tunnel, no matter how small or dim it is.
Thanks,
@TheOneMoiderah for making a ride that was not only sad, traumatic, hilarious and crazy, but also awesome. Really freaking awesome.
