SayakaQuest Thread 10: Glory To The Death

Well. Basically we're fucked. But I think we all knew that coming into this fight. End boss and all that. At this point, I think all we can do is work to reduce that +120 modifer either temporarily by creative tactics or, presumably at any rate, permanently by de-limbing the doll as we simply cannot our own bonuses high enough to counter +120. I say presumably because the doll has shown the ability to summon stuff from the Golden City such as the swords. Unsurprisingly since the city itself is Walpy, but I'll still be pretty pissed if after we hack off a limb it just summons a new one.

I'm pretty sure our greatest offensive combat assets right now are Akane, Kagura, and possibly Sayaka. Akane for her brute strength, Kagura for her Scythe's Aura and Saka for her ability to survive a hit from Walpy better than the rest and Wave Rend/Rending Blade abilities. Ran makes a good hit and run girl since at this point anyone other than Saka getting hit is tantamount to death and she's got the highest mobility of the Tokyo girls. Yoko and Ako...Well, I don't really know where they fit in.

Homura clocks in at greatest support since Time Stop is still viable, even if it IS only useful for aerial attacks/evasions at this point. Still, she's consuming a lot of seeds everytime we use her and I figure we'll probably need the seeds patching up the team when they do get hit.

And last, but certainly not least, is that the Tokyo girls, aside from Chou because lol-brain damage, are still very much likely to suicide bomb Walpy should things go south. I don't think they're at that point yet, but they'll most certainly get there sooner or later. Probably after we've thrown everything we've got to no effect or a large chunk of them get killed/maimed.

[x]Boost up with Akane, have Homura grab both of you, and attack it from timestop. Heal as you go and reform the greatshield.
[x]use magical platforms to prolong the timestop by leaping off of them.
[x]Wave rends and fire fists from multiple directions. Aim for the arms
[x]Exit timestop, and attack it again to distract it from Tokyo's assault, if necessary.
Defensive boosts to dodge.

@Ugolino The last line is missing an [x] in your proposal

Well, that's something to wake up to: a skyscraper of a sword lodged inside us.

Instead of trying to go for an alpha strike, could we try to set up the doll for a sure-hit attack from Kagura and Akane instead?

Have Homu, Ran and Sayaka (using explosive swords) keep suppressing the doll, Kyoko tie up the witch with her spears and chains (her giant sectioned spear could be useful here), while Akane and Kagura remain on standby. Once the doll gets staggered, Homura pulls both of them into timestop, so the two can get the best angle of attack.

....Ok this is getting REALLY REDICULUS! Someone go get the exorcist to do something about those possessed dice already before we game over from them.

We did try to block an attack with a sword so big we can't lift it, even with super strength. I'd say a hole in our gut is actually pretty fair. We don't even need to heal it, if we don't want to.

Technically, no we don't have to heal the giant gaping hole in Saka. However, major injuries like these tend to have...undesirable effects on Kyouko so we really should.

Oh, I know that, and I agree. I just meant it wasn't something more problematic like a broken arm, leg, or a broken everything from being slammed into a building by the final boss with a sword several times larger than ourselves.
