Your mom's about done crying now. She sniffs once again, before she looks at you with a smile.

And you decide to bring the mood up a little. "So....uh..." You rub the back of your head. "You mentioned doing stupid shit in college."

Your mom freezes. "Uh..." She laughs nervously. "Would you look at the time!"

"Mom-"

"Gotta go Sayaka love you see you after work bye!" She chugs her coffee down, grabs her bag and bolts out of the door. Your eyes widen as she goes.

"YOU'RE STILL IN YOUR PAJAMAS!" You shout.

"Shit!" Your mom runs right back, goes to the bedroom, quickly gets dressed, and then bolts right back out.

You look over at Kyouko. "So...now what?" You ask.

"Well, you just had a nice crying session." She holds your hand. "...Wanna...relax? Or something?"

"Or something." You say. "We still need to train."

She whines a little.

And now Mikimom gets to go through her day wondering if leaving early to avoid talking about what she did in college will be the last thing she ever does with Sayaka.

"Yeah. I'm good." Kyouko rubs her cheek against yours. "I'm really good."

"You sure?"

"I have a Sayaka. Yeah, I'm pretty sure." She giggles a little, before she frowns. "...Your mom's hurting."

"Hm?" You frown.

"Like...I used to hang out with her before we dated and..."

"I know." You say. "I know...mom's hurt. I know she is, but...we can't stop."

Kyouko hugs you tighter. "We better take advantage of all the time we have, then." She smiles. "Right, Sayaka?"

"Well, yeah." You smile. "Like maybe a trip to the arcade where we met?"

"Maybe a movie?" Kyouko pokes your cheek. "I think there's a Godzilla movie coming out soon."

"What, like, American Godzilla?"

"No. A Toho thingy. With rubber suits and everything." Kyouko pokes your cheek.

"Yeah, it's a date." You say, before you bring your nose to hers. She blushes on contact, before she returns the gesture.

You hold Kyouko's hand as you both leave the house. "After we train, of course." You say.

"Yeah, yeah." She waves her free hand. "I know, we already said that."

"So...got any places in mind?"

"Iunno." She shrugs. "Maybe the abandoned amusement park again?"

Guess that makes sense. I'm from the US, in a location where trains are primarily (almost solely) for transporting goods long-distance. It's still weird thinking that you can get anywhere near where you want to go using one.

It's kind of like taking the bus, right?
