"A movie night sounds great!" Mari says with a grin. Something normal, exactly what we need right now. "C'mon, I'll get my dad to make some of that wasabi popcorn."
Without waiting for a reply, Mari tugs the shorter girl in the direction of her home. "So I think I know what movie you're talking about. The one where the guy is all 'I have a particular set of skills...' right?"
"Ehhh? I mean, okay, sure, that works too...You still have the DVD, right?" Claire bobs her head, then blinks as Mari's earlier suggestion about popcorn registers. "Mariiiii! You know you're the only one that likes that stuff!" She mock-shudders. "...Caramel, maybe?" She suggests hopefully, clasping her hands together and looking to Mari in half-serious pleading.
"Oh, I know! We could catch up on that show with the animals! You know, the one- the penguin one! I mean, I kinda stopped following it after, you know...left. Just wasn't the same without someone to watch it with..."
"I-I'm glad you're all okay" She says out-loud to everyone. "Though I'm glad you're okay, Sophie" She directs her words at the magician girl. "I saw... a cloth version of you. I thought you were turned into... something. A cloth doll looked just like you and I was scared. B-But I'm glad you're not... that thing." Fleur explains shakily.
"I'm glad you're okay." Thinking, however briefly, that she might've murdered Sophie and her adorable little friend had not been pleasant. "We were worried. Ended up ki- uh, fighting a doll version of you and then Sophie."
Despite feeling guilty, Sophie resisted the urge to avert her look, and sighed instead. 'The doll was even... wearing your clothes - your regular clothes... when we destroyed it and I...'
She explained, and for a moment, she stopped to think of any other word but 'panicked', or 'scared'. Anything- Ah, screw it. 'Yeah, I panicked.' She admited, blushing a second after. 'Sorry.'

"Of course I still have the DVD, its awesome. And you're just a boring person with a sweet tooth!" Mari playfully sticks her tongue out at her friend then rolls her eyes as Claire breaks out the puppy dog eyes. "But I'm pretty sure dad has the stuff to make that too. Or we've got the microwaveable stuff."
"Show with the animals...show with the animals..." Mari muses for a moment before a light goes off in her head. "Oh! Yeah that one was super cute. I think I can get it." Seeing Claire's sad face, Mari drapes her arms over the shorter girl's shoulders, hugging her from behind.
"Well you don't have to miss it anymore, right? No apologies needed." She butts the back of her friend's head lightly with her forehead, "I mean it, we're doing normal stuff like we used to tonight! I will brook no arguments."
Squeezing Claire's shoulders one last time, Mari skips ahead. "C'mon, I'm hungry," she grins wildly, knowing what Claire would likely say in response to that.
Yvette blinks at the advancing blonde. What... what is she supposed to do here?
Would it be rude to refuse? I could just put my armor back on. She can't pat my head if I'm wearing my armor. That might be too hostile, though. I should say something. Staring at people and not saying anything is weird. Can't forget that. Wait, do I want to stop her from patting my head? Assuming that's what she's planning, it might be nice. It'll mess up my hair, but I've got a brush in my bag...
For all that the internal debate continues, Yvette hasn't actually moved.
And then it's too late for Yvette. Marie's hand descends, and she starts mussing Yvette's hair enthusiastically. She grins as she pats the girl's head thoroughly.

Fleur can see a solid layer of grief on the bottom of her gem. It's not exactly overwhelming yet, nor is cleansing immediately required, but it might be better to keep an eye on the situation.
Fleur is glad she didn't use too much magic there. She was actually worried she used much more than she did... She dispels her soulgem back to it's ring form and turns her attention to the Yvette.
"I'm glad you're okay." Thinking, however briefly, that she might've murdered Sophie and her adorable little friend had not been pleasant. "We were worried. Ended up ki- uh, fighting a doll version of you and then Sophie."
"A d-doll version of me?" Fleur blanches. Her thoughts momentarily dart to the doll version of Sophie. Was it like that, but her? "W-Well. I hope it didn't give you too much trouble. I a-apologize if the doll version of me hurt you in any way."
'Sorry.'
"O-Oh. I see." Everyone must have been scared. If it untransformed and had her clothes, they must have really thought they actually killed her. "That... W-Well. It's okay Sophie." Fleur reinitiates the hug with Sophie, giving the other girl a devastatingly genuine hug. "Don't worry, you didn't actually murder me? I'm here, see?"
And then it's too late for Yvette. Marie's hand descends, and she starts mussing Yvette's hair enthusiastically. She grins as she pats the girl's head thoroughly.
Initially, Yvette tenses up at the unfamiliar physical contact, but it's... kind of nice? Comforting even after the sort of rolling near-death experience that was a Witch hunt. But it's not like she has any idea who Marie even is or why she's so insistent on headpats.
Maybe I'm overthinking this.
A hesitant smile finds it onto Yvette's face and she leans into Marie's hand.

"O-Oh" Yvette stammers as her attention is drawn back to the present. "Y-yes. It, uh, w-we..." It's too hard to focus through the pats and her face is starting to feel really warm.
Yvette transforms in a flash of blue light and the familiar weight of - and head protection provided by - her armor is enough to get her thinking clearly. Wait, why is Fleur apologizing? "It wasn't you, and we took care of it without too much, uh-" Sophie screaming in their heads as a monster crushes her throat. "We're fine now, so it's fine."

A good while later, Aki finally feels confident enough to start skating all on her own! She's still not going very fast, but that's fine. Aki's a fan of going slow. It takes some focus to stay upright, but that's fine too. It helps take her mind off of everything that happened today.
She doesn't have to think about the attack, or Ophélie yelling at her, or Gabrielle getting hurt, or that she made a friend today but tomorrow that might have never happened... Right now, she just needs to not fall. Nothing else matters.
A relaxed smile crosses Aki's face as the cold air of the skating rink and the still kind of strange gliding feeling keep all her troubles at bay for at least a little bit.
"Yeah, I'm glad." Sophie said, once again wrapped in Fleur's arms. It really was a nice sensation at first but then she started to feel the pressure of her friend's hug.
"Yes, I can see that," Nina notes with a small, amused smile and a shake of her head. "Christ Marie, did you get pat-deprived or something during your travels?" Her gaze travels to Yvette. "Well, good thing you like them, because they'll never end now~!"
She gives only a small moment for the two to answer, before turning to regard everyone else present. She seems to turn noticeably more serious. "Alright, I believe that concludes the hunt itself. Good job, everyone! I recommend everyone take a moment to cleanse their Gems, never let them gather grief."
She pauses for a moment, sneaking a glance at Sophie and Fleur, seemingly approving of the hug. Her smile turns somber and gentle. "Also, given the... stressful nature of this particular witch, I want to say another thing. Don't be afraid to talk about it, don't bottle up your concerns and worries."
@Firnagzen
At the same time, Marie receives a telepathic message from Nina. 'So, anything particularly important on today's agenda?'
I'll probably be bringing this scene to closure with the next Nina-post, unless something comes up.
@Dirtnap
Claire stifles a yawn and stretches from her side of the sofa as the credits of another episode roll to a chipper, slightly squeaky musical number. "Hey, Mari?" She mumbles, absently shifting to avoid knocking the bowl over. "Want to watch more or take a break?"
The day's caught up to her, but this? This was nice. Relaxing.
Fighting and magic and grief seeds? Sure all of that's important- and a mix of worrying and terrifying for some of it. But this is what she made the contract for. Just...peace, quiet, and forgetting about all the problems and questions just for a bit.
And watching some nice, fluffy nonsense with her best friend. That's nice too.
@Ugolino
Mari languidly stretches out, looking over her shoulder at the clock. "Hmmm, I think we could squeeze another episode or two in. Mayb-" Her words are interrupted by a yawn. "Or maybe not, it might be getting a bit late." She looks over at her friend.
It's good to see her relaxed, she's been really wound up today. She grins over at the auburn headed girl, "I don't think we have an extra futon lying around like I had over in Japan. So I'll take the couch." Now to be extra silly.
No sooner had she finished her sentence than she had sprawled out, draping her legs over Claire's lap. And immediately starting to faux snore. Loudly.
Inside her helm, Yvette beams at the praise. First, Mireille said she was cool in front of other people and now Marie, who was definitely "cool" herself just called her a good girl. Which, admitedly, and especially in conjunction with the head pats that Marie is apparently fond of, sounds a bit more like something one would say to a pet than Yvette is entirely comfortable with, but she'll take it!
Even with the school exploding and her recent bifurcation, today is going quite well.
Yvette would point that Fleur had, apparently, been fighting the actual Witch while they dealt with the familiars, but the adorable girl seems determined to apologize so she lets it go. "Don't worry. There's always next time." She mentally congratulates herself on combining reassurance with the implicit promise of future cooperation.
No way is she going to let an opportunity to acquire new friends slip through her fingers.
"Yes, I can see that," Nina notes with a small, amused smile and a shake of her head. "Christ Marie, did you get pat-deprived or something during your travels?" Her gaze travels to Yvette. "Well, good thing you like them, because they'll never end now~!"

"Also, given the... stressful nature of this particular witch, I want to say another thing. Don't be afraid to talk about it, don't bottle up your concerns and worries."
Yvette takes what she hopes is a discreet step further from Marie before dismissing her armor and trying as best she can to get her hair in order.
"Actually, Nina, I was wondering if we could meet up later today, or maybe for lunch tomorrow? My treat." Yvette tries to keep the butterflies stirring in her stomach from showing on her face. Normally, this would be the part where she overreaches her social ability and gets turned down, but she's been on a roll since becoming a magical girl. "I'd like to discuss how magical girls claim and maintain territory."
She gives only a small moment for the two to answer, before turning to regard everyone else present. She seems to turn noticeably more serious. "Alright, I believe that concludes the hunt itself. Good job, everyone! I recommend everyone take a moment to cleanse their Gems, never let them gather grief."
Her smile fading, Sophie glanced at Nina, then at her gem. Her eyes slightly widened at how dirty her otherwise pure, brilliant Topaz looked like. "Right," she responded, fetching one unused seed from one pocket and pressing it against the gem.
It felt as if she was relieved from a weight on her shoulders.

"Also, given the... stressful nature of this particular witch, I want to say another thing. Don't be afraid to talk about it, don't bottle up your concerns and worries."
Letting out a sigh, the magician turned to look at Nina, then at Fleur.
There wasn't much to say aside of what was been told throught telepathy, but after a side glance at Nina, the magician spoke. "I'm also sorry if I was a cause of concern. Fleur and I used to hunt together before all this, and to see a mannequin wearing her face was..."
She let out a sigh. "But still I'm glad you're fine and so we all. Thanks for the opportunity, miss Nina. Miss Marie."
@DrZiztah
Marie tugs thoughtfully on a lock of hair. "Honestly, not really? Thinking about exploring more, got any suggestions?"
@Krecart@EtchedSteel
"Witches tend to have a lot of nasty tricks, in my experience," Marie says. "But we are tricky and hard to kill. I don't think I've ever come across, or more importantly heard of, a Witch that can just kill a magical girl like-" She snaps her fingers.
Sophie glanced at Fleur, then at Marie. "Yeah. Actually, Fleur and me knew witches were bizarre and nasty- just not this nasty." She shuddered. "I'm also glad to have had you all with us this time..."
Time.
She let out a sigh, and looked up at the orange sky. The sun wasn't setting yet, but sure it was looking late already- and that was when something clicked for the magician, acknowledging the sensation of dread, of something very important she somehow managed to forget. From her pockets she fetched her phone.
...
Her eyes widened, a palm hitting her forehead. Her phone had five missed calls and several unread messages; some of them were on voice. Muttering a curse, Sophie looked at the other girls.
"And speaking of time- I must go now." She smiled nervously, already taking a few steps back. "Quickly. My parents must be dead worried because Iforgottocallthemandtheymightjustkillmeohgoooood..."
What are we going to do? What's happening? Claudette doesn't need to say these things aloud. She knows Arjana is wondering too. The feelings and concerns and the crushing reality of the situation aren't going away. They're not going to go away. She rubs her temples, and there's another question, hung in the air: How are we going to live with this?
Claudette looks away, then says it out loud: "So now what? Do we just scuff our shoes on the cobbles, and work, ignoring bad feelings throughout the day, like they're just not there? And not think about it? Do we just--just get on with life? Do we just quietly--is this how you deal with it? Is that it? Are we..."
As she says it, she realizes that she already knows the answer.
Yeah. It is.
"I guess it's not so bad." Claudette sniffs, wipes at an eye. "So, then. Dinner." She stands up and smiles at Arjana. She steps over to the cabinets and begins to withdraw ingredients. "We'll make something special tonight, you and I."
'Well, there's this new restaurant that opened recently? I think you might like it! My treat, this time.'
Nina blinks at the increasingly agitated Sophie, before offering her a nod. "Alright! I actually suspect most of you might want to get in contact with your families about this as well. But before that…"
The older girl turns to look at Yvette in particular. "Tomorrow is fine, thank you! Do you know that café in... Uh, nevermind, you probably don't." She lets out a small laugh. "Just come to Albert-Kahn's Garden in Boulogne-Billancourt, and I'll pick you up from there."
A small pause.
"I'd recommend that the rest of you try to be there as well. It's easier if you're all on the same page about these sort of things. Your choice really, but I'll have you know that the place serves the best damn cake on that side of Seine~!" she finishes with a coy smile, oddly pleased with the prospect.
"But for now, goodbye, and have a nice afternoon! I suspect we'll be seeing each other later, no?"
With that said and done, everyone exchanges the last pleasantries for the day as a group, before everyone goes their own way, whether it be home or some other place in the city. Given the intensity of the fight with the last witch, no one really has the appetite for another one.
Regardless of the girl in question, in each home there is a more agitated and exasperated air to be felt. The rumor mill has been going on strong with the explosion at the school, and people are understandably worried.
For Marie, though, the rest of the day is spent in the territories of Nina, as she shows her around for the changes in the cityscape since you last were there. Though much is the same, a lively city like Paris has managed to quite drastic changes in the short time span, not to mention those nooks and crannies unexplored the last time you were there.
The day ends with Nina showing her to the restaurant she was talking about, an Italian, serving some admittedly good pasta.
One way or another, however, each household with students in St. Cloud Combined Academia has been informed that the school is closed for a few days, as the structural integrity and damage sustained is inspected by the city officials. Preliminary reports apparently claim only light damage, but to be on the safe side, no one is allowed in yet.
In other words, the rest of the week will be free of school, leaving you with an ad hoc expansion of the winter holidays and a lot of free time for the upcoming days.
The next morning, after going through your usual routines, each of you heads out to the gardens where you're supposed to meet up with Nina. Everyone is there well ahead of schedule.
"Alright, good morning! Did everyone sleep well?" Nina asks out cheerfully when she arrives with Marie, waving at Sophie, Fleur and Yvette.
I'll let this scene unfold a bit, so as to see what Arjana and Claudette decide to do.
The day ends for you at a much more relaxed sensation than it began. Unlike in the school, it's much easier to relax in the rink, where there are no sudden explosions and scores of people hurt by it. Nor does a hostile magical girl appear at any point.
But perhaps most importantly, it's just normal, innocent fun… at least once you get the gist of staying upright, something Julie is very happy to help with.
There is not much to do once you get back home, aside Ophélie being away for the entire evening. The Leclairs seem to have been informed about this, even if they seem dismayed to not have her there for dinner. On the other hand, Mr. Leclair seems to make up for this by asking more from you and Julie.
The topic of the explosion at the school naturally comes up, and you're informed that the school is cancelled for the rest of the week, much to Julie's quiet jubilation.
Afterwards, there isn't much to do, other than pass time and eventually go to sleep. You think Ophélie arrives late into the night, if the subdued sounds you seem to recall outside your and Julie's room are anything to go by. You were already half-asleep by that point, so the memory is quite fuzzy…
You're the first one to wake up in the morning, being far more used to waking up early than Julie. The girl is laying haphazardly on her bed, hair strewn everywhere, some of it even in her mouth. Unlike you, she's still soundly asleep.
A thought follows. You have two days to come up with something for Celiné now… Also on your mind is the encounter with the friendly(er) magical girls from yesterday, and how they might need to have their memories erased.
Your day ends in a bout of manic giggling and frantic chores to get everything ready for the sleepover. Mari's father proves to be quite helpful in this, moving things around with you so that you don't have to sleep in separate rooms.
While you're at that, you learn that the school has been cancelled for the rest of the week. On one hand, this means that you have a lot of free time for the impromptu extra holiday week. But on the other hand, knowing that you're the reason for it… Guilty delight at best.
Though Mari sleeps soundly after the last whispers are exchanged, the night is restless for Claire, who at least once wakes up abruptly to a vivid nightmare of repeatedly being stabbed again, and again… It takes her a moment to realize that the drops covering and drenching her is simply cold sweat, not her blood.
The previous pain echoes in imaginary throbs across her chest and back afterwards, and falling asleep again is a monumental task.
And when the morning comes and both of the girls are forced to wake up, one of them is much more tired than the other.
Though to an outsider what you cook up might not be anything special, for you there is more to it. A simple exercise in cooking as it may seem, it is also proof. Though what happened there with the Witch might weigh on your minds and conscience forever, this one simple things shows you something important.
You're still here. Life goes on.
So you indulge in these simple things, and you let yourself go and enjoy life again for the scant moments you have. It's no feast for kings, but the taste is different for you after everything.
The day is over before you know it. Time blurs with the turmoil of emotions and thoughts, after all.
The two of you go your separate ways, only learning of the free week when you're both with your own families. You're also telepathically and completely out of the blue contacted by Nina from the school. She doesn't talk to you much, perhaps making it out from your tone that something's wrong, but she tells you that the other magical girls from the school will be in Boulogne-Billancourt at noon.
You promise to think about it.
The night itself is restless at times, but the dawn eventually breaks for you as well. The two of you meet near where Arjana lives, in Malakoff. The question is, what to do now?
Yesterday still weighs fresh on your shoulders.
But life goes on.
There are the obvious options for the day of course. You were invited to join the other magical girls in your school to a café for How-to-be-a-Magical-Girl 101 + general socialization. But at the same time, you could let them be and strike out on your own in the city for something else.

If there's something specific you wish to do on Tuesday, before going to sleep for that day, please say that in your next post.
@EtchedSteel, @Krecart, @Krekian
"I slept well, as you well know~!" Marie volunteers, winking at Nina. She's as dapper as always, untransformed, but dressed in blouse and jeans with a light scarf over it, more a fashion statement than of any need with the weather. She marches over to the other magical girls, hands outstretched in preparation for headpatting.
