Finally got round to reading the other OOCs beyond Takoe's singing wings.
Therefore, I've only just been introduced to the fact the OOW submitted Shirou, the protagonist of a Fate/Kabuto crossover.
I'm at a loss for words. Why do I never actually get to the point of reveals whenever I do a gimmick like that, even when Delusional Tea Party isn't in effect?

Meanwhile in Dalet: What do you mean 'we're not in space'?
I can't reveal my gimmick until I encounter a stoic, reliable man who stews in quiet rage or an adventurous, conniving man whose recklessness border on suicidal.

Because you're a slow poster who wants to do too many things at once, and because the gimmick is most often used in games that have achieved a critical mass of players, expand, and blow apart in short order.

@Lichte , I'm waiting for a response from you in Bet... there was laughter from one of the 'raccoons' in the allyway, and then they revealed themselves right in front of Kouta Kazuraba.

Wow.

Someone gets that golden "Stop Gilles from being a thing" goal and passes it up completely.

*checks*

And as Mewtwo no less?!

When Cthulhu gets summoned people can safely blame the freeza clan guy, I guess.

Gotta admit, I'm impressed by his sincere attempts to avoid metagaming.
On the other hand, apparently Gilles was real close to him?

"Humans aren't pokemon anyway, and therefore not people, so it's okay." -Mewtwo, probably

It probably helps that I have 0 knowledge about the setting, so I really can't metagame. I know about as much as Mewtwo would right now, which is squat.

And I don't see it as "Passing it up", I see it trying to faithfully play out how Mewtwo would react to what's happening and act it out. He doesn't know anything about any grail war, he doesn't know who Caster or Uryuu are. It's all gibberish as far as he's concerned.

All he knows is that he's suddenly been transported to some mysterious land and a disembodied voice is giving him orders. Caster? Uryuu? Why should he care about those names or following orders that he doesn't know anything about? Of course Mewtwo is going to focus on the mysterious voice that's giving him those orders and trying to figure out what's going on.

Regardless of the outcome, I stand by my actions thus far, and I think the reasoning and prose I've given in my posts thus far will back up my choices.

Just to clarify, Truth-Seeker is just a minor telepathic trick that detects if Takoe is lying to Ahriman.

Mind Probe is the full-on "hold still as I peel back your mind layer by layer" one.
