Neat. Luckily, as an Exalted, we have an intuitive grasp of Essence flows (both from our nature as an Enlightened Essence User, the manipulations needed to use our Charms and since all Exalted automatically know how to attune to Demesne), which should help there.

So what's your interpretation of the Men of Stone? The most common one I've seen is that they were hardware bound AI, predecessors to the fully software Men of Iron and generally didn't join the Cybernetic Revolt, either due to usually being older or some resistance their more material nature granted them to the virus/warp fuckery/whatever may have caused it.

Also, what are the pros and cons of the Machine Spirit route?

You and your companions gathered around the injured Ambull, a formidable beast that had tested your resolve and strength. The air crackled with the promise of magic, a palpable energy that seemed to thrum with power and purpose. With Lorgar by your side, you began the ritual, knowing that the fate of the tribe rested on the success of this binding.

Your voice, infused with ancient words of power, filled the cavern, echoing off the walls with a resonance that seemed to command the very elements. As you chanted, the air shimmered with a radiant glow, forming a circle of light that enveloped all three of you in a cocoon of magic.

The Ambull, despite its injuries, radiated a primal strength that threatened to overwhelm you. But you stood firm, your will a beacon of determination amidst the swirling energies. With each word, each gesture, you felt the connection between you and the Ambull grow stronger, a bond that would bind its will to yours.

Beside you, Lorgar watched with wide eyes, you were not distracted however, your innate understanding of the ritual guiding your actions. As his soul intertwined with yours and the Ambull's, you felt a surge of power that was both exhilarating and terrifying. This was a moment of reckoning, a linking of souls that would forever alter the course of your lives.

As the ritual neared its completion, you sensed a shift in the Ambull's demeanor. Its once fierce gaze softened, its movements becoming more subdued. The binding was taking hold, its will now aligned with yours and Lorgar's.

Exhausted but victorious, you stepped back, the glow of the magic fading as the ritual came to an end. The Ambull lay before you, its massive form now under your control. But as you looked up, you saw Haraq pacing back and forth, a look of concern etched on his face.

"Are you sure about this?" he asked, his voice filled with doubt. "Giving Lorgar control over the Ambulls... it seems like a dangerous gamble."

You understood his apprehension, but you were resolute. "We had no other choice, Haraq," you replied. "Lorgar proved himself today. He has earned the right to wield this power."

Haraq nodded, though his expression remained uneasy. "I just hope we're not making a mistake," he muttered.

But as you turned to look at Lorgar, who was now standing beside you, a sense of pride swelled within you. You knew that with his help, you would be able to protect your tribe and confront whatever challenges that lay ahead.

"We will deal with it together," you assured him, placing a hand on his shoulder. "We are a team, Haraq. We will face whatever comes our way, together."

You barely finish that sentence as the first Ambull scooped Lorgar up in its massive claws and began to run off with him, Lorgar giggling with delight at the development.

"Lorgar!" you shouted, a mix of disbelief and concern in your voice. "What are you doing? Get back here!"

But Lorgar was too caught up in the moment, his laughter echoing through the cavern as the Ambull carried him away. You and your companions could only watch in disbelief as the scene unfolded before you.

"Should we... do something?" Siobhan asked, uncertainty clear in her voice.

Before you could respond, Haraq was already running after the Ambull, his bow in hand. "I'll get him back, don't worry!" he called over his shoulder, determination written on his face.

The rest of you followed suit, chasing after the Ambull as it carried Lorgar deeper into the tunnels. The cavern echoed with the sounds of your footsteps and Lorgar's laughter, creating a surreal scene that bordered on the absurd.

After what seemed like an eternity, you finally caught up with the Ambull, which had come to a stop in a large chamber deep within the tunnels. Lorgar was still giggling, completely unharmed and seemingly unfazed by the situation.

You approached him, relief flooding through you. You picked him up, pulling him into a tight hug.

As you sat down with Lorgar in your arms, the baby looking up at you with wide eyes, you began to explain the concept of responsibility. You spoke of the importance of making choices that consider the well-being of others. It was time for him to learn about the responsibilities that came with his extraordinary abilities.

"Lorgar," you began, your voice gentle yet firm, "the Ambulls are not our slaves. They are our servants, bound to us by magic but never slaves. Slavery is a cruel practice, used by those who seek power over others. We do not enslave, we command with responsibility."

You explained to him the history of the Covenant, the despised group that ruled with an iron fist, enslaving those weaker than them. You told him how the Declined never accepted their role, instead rebelling and ultimately paying the price for their failure to break the Covenant.

"Lorgar, with great power comes great responsibility," you continued, quoting the ancient proverb. "You can command the Ambulls, but you must do so wisely. You must treat them with respect, understanding that they are living beings with their own wants and needs."

To your surprise, Lorgar seemed to listen intently, his gaze unwavering as if he understood every word you said. It was a strange moment, realizing that even as a baby, Lorgar possessed a sense of understanding and empathy far beyond his years.

As you finished your lecture, you couldn't help but feel grateful for this remarkable child in your care. Despite his young age, Lorgar showed a remarkable capacity for compassion and understanding, qualities that filled you with hope for the future.

As you finish, Haraq walks up to you, his expression a mix of amusement and incredulity.

"Remember when you said giving Lorgar control over the Ambulls was a good idea?" he chuckled, echoing your earlier conversation. "Do you still think that was a good idea?"

You couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity of the situation.

"Well, he does seem to be having a good time," you replied, glancing back at Lorgar, who was now laughing and playing with the Ambull. "And no harm seems to have come to him."

Haraq raised an eyebrow, a smirk playing on his lips. "Fair point," he conceded. "I suppose it could have turned out worse."

GAIN:
You gain 11 Ambulls. One Dread Ambull, the kind that takes a tank or a Space Marine to kill. It is heavily injured but will fully recover, two Bucks and two dames. The rest are young, 6 of varying ages.

They have the Transcendent Desert Creature effects as this is inheritable as per "Locus Mana Plague" and "Scoured Perfection of Form". This is considered a natural mutation and is passed down to any Ambulls that are later spawned, creating your own subspecies of Ambulls.

They are not Creatures of Darkness as that is a Political term from the Unconquered Sun and is now defunct.

LORGAR:
You have adopted a Primarch, a Demigod Son of the Emperor of Mankind. Lorgar is not Exalted but has his own Primarch Mythos and gene forged advantages.

ADAPTATIONS
All Primarchs gain adaptations or changes due to exposure to their planet's environment. Lorgar is no different. But unlike the rest, he has been exposed to two Primordial essences and as such, his Mythos has attempted to adapt.

In addition, like Leman Russ, when exposed to special animals at infancy, Primarches may gain traits of those animals. For Lorgar, it is the Ambulls.

Also, you do not IC choose the adaptations, it will be a Product of Lorgar's Primarch mythos and not anything you did directly. This is not you doing it but Lorgar Adapting.

Since you were binding the Ambulls to Lorgar and rolled really REALLY well, you have the choice to stop it if you want. Had you rolled poorly or chosen to not bind them to Lorgar, he would have automatically gained the Transcendent Desert Creature effects and perhaps the Ambull adaptation if he played with them or was exposed to them.

This is redundant. In canon the Imperial Heralds/Word Bearers were fully Loyal to Lorgar to the point that they did not need to purge their legion pre hersay.

Lorgar also had good relations with Angron of all primarches and only had poor relations with the others due to being raised by Kor Pharon.

Honestly? This does not add much to what he already has.

It was just normal resilience from being a Dread Ambull. But I can work it in. How I do that is -5 Difficulty in all Soak Rolls for Lorgar and his sons get a lesser version. But keep in mind that this does tread on Death Guard terratory. I am not saying it is not allowed but that there is a Legion who has a similar ability and rivalries may form.

None that I know of, but instincts are something you can be trained. Both adaptations must be "physical".

The mental effects are something that may or may not crop up but largely depends on how you raise Lorgar.

Extremely Stable Genetics will have implications to say the least. The Word Bearer gene seed still on Tera will suddenly get better and more pure. That's sure to have Big E scratch his head and look around for the other shoe before it drops.

Gotta say, stable genetics is an extremely powerful advantage for a legion. I was kind of surprised that it is an actually legit ambull quality that we genuinely do have a justification to take.
