Destroy the Godmodder: Renewal, OOC Thread. (Always Accepting)

@Crusher48
you examine the Train of Thought... and realize that there doesn't actually seem to be an engine, the carriages are just propelling themselves down railroad tracks that mysteriously appear in front of them.

/AG strategy: we should probably kill the now vulnerable JOEbob before he can use that new artifact of his to evolve (whatever evolve means in this context it would probably be bad.)

@pionoplayer understood regarding the exploration team, is it alright if I edit/ create a new post that doesn't increment charge to summon something else using the 20 charge I would have spent on the team or should I wait till after the next update to do so?

Also I think you missed Bouvreuil's action again unless you plan to just place it in the EOTB for simplicity.

Ugh, yes, I missed Bouvreuil's action, and yeah, you can make a new post for the summoning.

@JOEbob Sorry about the Mark, I thought I described it well enough in my description but looking back I was maybe a little vague. I'll leave it up to @pionoplayer how he allows the effect to work. Maybe I should be required to @ whoever the attack is to for it to work as well?

@pionoplayer understood regarding your decision to not allow effects based on post numbers.
However in light of this I feel as if Lúin should be reworked or at least rebalanced, when I initially created it a key factor I was balancing around was the amount of damage vs. the time it takes for that damage to be applied and the ability to prevent it. With the time it takes to deal damage now, which is effectively 10 times as long Lúin was originally intended to take, Lúin is now to be blunt garbage tier. In comparison to another 20 charge weapon oilstone, Lúin has less uses, has about a 50% chance of dealing less or equal damage (assuming a Desended is triggering oiled) and in most cases will activate much, much slower. I wouldn't ask that the current mark on JOEbob change due to the fact that would be unfair for him however personally I feel that some buff is necessary due to how sheerly underpowered Lúin is.

So possibilities would include decreasing the time it takes to activate to say two rounds, increasing the damage tremendously (even if it instakilled an enemy after 5 turns it would still be pretty bad IMO) increasing the number of uses or making the damage unstoppable and just on a time delay. One or a combination of these would probably make Lúin more viable.

Ultimately however if you want to do anything at all is up to you.

Backing up BK, finding out that your stuff is suddenly worthless sucks.

EDIT: If you will not re-balance Luin to be actually useful, you should at least let BK disenchant it for a Charge refund.

Marked by Luin is having its time to detonation reduced to 2 rounds. (decided on that before I saw your post thanks to Just bringing it to my attention in the Discord)

@pionoplayer Quick question did you make it so that Bess's effect only applies to one of BK's attacks in a turn? I ask because my last attack this round dealt 15,000 damage which would mean before Bess's buff the attack would have been 7,500 which would be below the Descended base damage range of 10,000-20,000 (At least that was the range basic Descended attacks were in if I understood them correctly, you never made an official range if my memory serves.) So I just want to know if Bess's effect only applies to one attack so I can change her description accordingly.

Ugh, no, I'm just really exhausted and forgot Bess's effect. I'll have Bess attack the C-MECH for 15K damage this round to compensate.

@JOEbob I think you made a minor mistake in your charge incrementation. From the Special Gimmicks rules.
Player Vulnerability: Players are, in fact, attackable, just only under specific circumstances. You can initiate PvP, the loser of which dies, certain enemy abilities will inflict vulnerability, using an artifact will render you vulnerable, and if your faction is doing badly enough entity-wise you will be directly targetable. Death is simple, you lose your standard action and your natural charge incrementation for one round, during which you have to spend any posts you make "respawning". Default player health is 20, with an "equivalent" value. Damage dealt to players rounds to the nearest equivalent value. For basically everyone the equivalent value is 3000, although there is a certain forbidden technique that has equivalent health value increase as one of its perks.... You can go vulnerable to allow for self-upgrades and leveling systems through the use of a 100 post charge... Although that isn't possible yet.
There are more of these that I already have written up, but aren't relevant quite yet. They'll be added when needed.
While your dead and respawning you loss your natural charge incrementation yet you were still naturally incrementing your charges while you were respawning last turn. Then again this is one of those really minor rules that I'm sure not even piono remembers, the only reason I did was because I reviewed the rules when I was making my first horde entity.

@pionoplayer if I might ask how much charge/effort would I need to give to just stop JOEbob from picking up the hamsa using a counter. I can't really judge how effective his newfish charge will be because it is a weakened smash while he's still on cool down and I don't really know how effective it will be at stopping interference. Please let me know if it's even possible to stop him picking it up so I don't waste my action.

SMAAAASHes are uncounterable because of this very level of PVP that's going on being WAAAAAAAYYY too much, so if he smashes, you might as well just forget about it.

IIRC, the Darksteel HandFoot was supposedly able to be used for an automatic hit on the Godmodder at a later time because it only got blocked to allow the Godmodder to summon the Terror Anklebiters. Did that expire or something?

Nope, you wasted it on trying to do something you flat out can't do to the Godmodder.

Bunnying is when you dictate what another person's actions are during a scene in RP, and it's generally considered bad form.

@pionoplayer I don't think what I wrote was really bunnying then. Mirror said the empty shield was automatically defending against attacks on it's own thus when I mention Mirror being prepared I'm referring to how his autonomous artifact would be and BK's action was an attempt to subvert the shield in order to strike Mirror. I never once mentioned Mirror preforming an action himself and though BK did kind of taunt Mirror by saying "You didn't think that would be all?" That was more in reference to the fact an autonomous Shield is not perfect and can be tricked like BK attempted to do.

That being said I'll attempt to avoid Bunnying in the future. On another note why did my attack that post not deal any damage? Also did you miss my creation of the Ides dagger artifact? Looking back I forgot to write a big announcement in bold but I did write I was expending it next to the 20 charge and added the stats to the compendium. Sorry about all this.

Your attack didn't deal any damage because...
Probably because I was really tired today and not feeling well.

Also, for the Ides dagger, I did miss it, post the stats to it out in the open so I can catch it next turn.
