Improvments
[x] Building Up

You build another infested barracks within the cultural city allowing it to replenish its supply of infested marines without your intervention.

More importantly you send some Formen with a guard of infested Marines to scavenge the remains of the Terran Ship.

Sadly only two things or real value are found. Apparently these scavengers had managed to happen upon an old Terran confederacy research base during their little exploits, it's nearby and would make a great location to investigate once you expand off world. It also held the blueprints for a new Terran robot called the Predator, you'd not quite sure how you want these drones to be utilized, but you are sure you'll figure something out.

"Hi pappy!" Terra's exited voice greets you. "I've finished my work on the next generation of infested marines."

'Very good terra." You telepathic voice swells with pride for your child. 'I knew you could do it.'

Terra gives a happy nod. "Yep I just need you to pick which of the prototypes I should focues on and we should be able to switch to the new generation of infested marines in a jiffy!"

In moments a vision of an invested terran in a light infantry suit fills your mind. It actually looks a lot like normal terrans but telltale hints of Zerg features give the infested Terran away.

"The Orc is an infested Terran about equal in strength, regeneration, and firepower to the infested marine. However they are far easier to create and can be massed in much greater numbers for much less effort. This pattern naturally fits in better with the traditional Zerg practice of swarming your enemies to death then with alternative tactics."

Soon the image switches to show two imagines one of a relatively normal Terran Marine and one of a heavily mutated terran marine who seems have replace both of his arms with massive claws.

"The Jekyll spends most of its time as a normal Terran Marines but is capable of switching to a far more powerful Hyde mode in which it gains a powerful melee are attack and greater damage resistance. It can only stay in Hyde mode for so long however so it would be wise to use the ability sparingly."

The next image to come into your mind is that or a Terran Marine that has had its entire lower body replaced with an insect like abdominal.

"The Leper mostly like the normal terran marine but possess incredible speed as well as the ability to jump up and down high ledges."

Finally an imagine of a terran marine appears, except the armor warm by this one seems to have organic plates on it, and he appears to be much bigger than the average marine in addition to having a pair of organic cannons instead of the normal one.

"The Ghoul possess a ranged attack that far outdoes that of just about any frontline infantry to date and has a potent regeneration even compared to its fellows. We won't be able to employ as many of these as we would the others but their raw firepower speaks for itself."

Hmmmm

It's a rather durable ranged unit that doesn't need tech for its ranged attack.

[x] The Ogre strain is a great improvement on what you have, but you feel that you can do more.
Etten? Armored Ogre? Whatever, a better purely organic damage sponge unit.

[x] Try and take the factory city. (Well written plane provides bonus to role)
-[x]Phase 1: Produce a large force of Ghouls, Medics and Ogres.
-[x]Phase 2: Have the Ogres in front to take damage for the other units, with Ghouls in back to capitalize on their range and guard the rear. Medics in the middle to keep the others up and running and keep the Medics mostly safe from close range units.
-[x]Phase 3: Have the force split into smaller forces with the same formation to keep the strategic advantage and gain tactical advantage.

[x] Explosive Marines "Those old school exploding marines are pretty potent, maybe we should see if we can copy them?"
May be able to apply it to all of the Infested based units, including the Ogre. Hello, Boomer Tank. I want to minimize reliance on machinery so that we can run on biomass alone when needed.

[x] Focus on building another infested unit type.
You should have the options for this under it.

Taking the Factory City
[x] Taking the Factories

In the end you choose to make the Ghoul your next generation of infested marine. It's incredible firepower and staying power compliments the close combat ability of your Ogre's and the healing ability of your infested medics well giving you a potent fighting force that is extremely difficult for a given enemy to wear down.

XXXXXX

The battle for the factory city is a short yet at the same time quick and bloody affair.

A Rexlisk kicks off the entire affair by barreling right through the front of the city, smashing aside anything that gets in its way as the infested marines holding onto the facility open fire upon the beast.

You're newly created Ghouls then flow through the breach. Each one stands shorter than an Ogre but is far larger than a normal invested Marine. In addition the heavy guns that each Ghoul possess is capable of mowing down scores of regular infested marines while the biomechanical exoskeleton possessed by the average Ghoul is somewhat resistant to return fire, sustained attacks will bring one down of course but it's still a marked improvement in survivability.

The Ogre's and Infested Canines are the next to join in the fight, the later engaging the massive amounts of chaff within the city as the former sniff around and search for any old terran traps that may still be active.

Infested Goliath's manage to move to the front line in an attempt to help hold your forces back, but a stuck message to your Ogre's and they soon find themselves smashed to pieces by the large masses of mutated muscle.

By the time your Rexlisk manages to burst through the back gate the fight is all but over, although the massive Zerg life form does get to chomp an infested Goliath in half during its rampage.

In the end the battle proves to be a resounding success for your infested armies.

"Hi daddy! I've managed to come up with some good ideas for things to do with the Predator Blueprins.! Here they are!"
[x] Hellhounds: Upgrades the infested canine with cybernetics allowing them to stun organic enemies in addition to their normal detection abilities.
[x] Cerberus: A large mechanical construct with a symbiotic organism providing support the Cerberus can spew large volumes of acid strong enough to melt tanks onto an enemy, jump up and down cliffs, and detect hidden enemies.
[x] Digger: The closest to the original predator the Digger has all the features of the original design except with the added ability to dig underground in order to move undetected.

OOC: Congratulations guys, with the creation of the Ghoul you guys are beginning to step into your place as an end-game faction. It's only a basic infantry unit of course but you know what they say about the journey of a thousand miles and a single step.

Adding Zerg air units to our forces should let us take out the Terran base easier, as well as just increase our general flexibility.
