You get the aspect, with no free invokes, representing how you, has a foodie, got some muffins on the way over to the office. If your going to offer them them as an opening bid before Sakura talks its a CA using rapport.
Hmm, I think I'll pass as an opener. Could Sakura use an FP to invoke it latter as part of a Rapport roll?

The purpose of declaring a story detail is to create a situation where you can actually apply your character skills in a way that's to their advantage. You use your food aspect to create a detail of having gotten muffins to facilitate you making the opening moves on the receptionist. It's not to make blanket aspects.

So no, you can't. I mean yes you could give Sakura the muffins and she could invoke them for a fate point but at that point we've moved beyond what I think the concept of story details were meant for.

Wouldn't Fresh Baked Muffins also exist as a tangible physical aspect until they're consumed or go stale, though?

Yeah but at that point it doesn't seem to mesh with the original explanation of declaring a story detail, which never mentions aspects. The rule seems more about giving chatacters the items/openings they need or want.

Okay, going for a rapport roll:
>Misa adds +1 via teamwork
HatsuZ threw 4 6-faced dice. Reason: Rapport +3 Total: 14

umm... (-1+0+0+1)+3+1 = +4

This is with the 'explain situation in a most true fashion, while implying it means you and your daughter go hungry' plan, right?

And your just trying to get a supervisor or asking her for the records?

I'm asking her for the records.

OK was making it a roll against a fair (+2) no rolling on the girls part. So with +4 you succeed with style.

*drums fingers* I can make a succeed with style if I have Mike provide a teamwork via rapport. I'm thinking by giving some pointers to Sakura as they come into the office on how these types of business tend to work - thus helping to refine how she explains the situation.

*nods - throws Mike at Sakura* here take this

SO succeed with Style meaning we get a boost. With Mike's Best Foot Forward letting me choose to make it a full on aspect. The story, particularly Misa being all cute, almost brings the girl to tears. She really wants to ensure you find and get what you need so she sets you up in a smaller meeting room with a terminal.

Aspect: Foot In the Door gained with one free invoke

Rolling for the 'mood' of the Supplier. This is reflecting their general situation and disposition. I may reflect a normal reaction or indicate something else is going on depending on the roll.

Roll: [+][-][ ][-]

The air about the supply is unfriendly, though not hostile. They seem wary of you more then anything else - getting a good deal in this environment may be difficult, perhaps though they have a reason for this distrust?

Scene Aspect added: An Air of Distrust
DB_Explorer threw 4 6-faced dice. Reason: Supplies Disposition Total: 12

Hoo boy, this is going to be interesting.

OK so giving Oswald's... in character greeting I'm going to roll for the Clerk's own since of self control. Given Oswald acted with no real intent I'm not having be an active roll (IE Oswald using provoke).

The DC is going to be a fair +2
Nameless Clerk gets a will of +1

(1+0+0+0)+1=+2

ITS A TIE ... so going to treat this sorta like a defend action so Oswald will get a boost next turn if we wants to do a social roll to pry (or provoke) more info from the guy.

Otherwise the guy is going to get ready to lash out but bring his temper under control.. just so meaning the guy is a little.. Hot Under The Collar right now.

working on response rolls.

Alright great.

Next turn, I think I'm going to try to browbeat the guy into telling us what's going on with a provoke argument along the lines of 'So this how you act to paying customers who have volunteered to help you'?

(For the record, my plan if he had thrown a punch was to not fight back and try the same thing.)

At which point I offer a fate point to punch back :D
Punching someone in the face and killing a side quest in the womb? One Fate Point.

Getting to feel like something you wrote up while half awake was really just according to keikaku? Priceless.

Anyway, should I roll provoke before my next post, or should I post then roll?

Nah I had a back up plan... or rather improvised one.

yeah roll provoke.

Alright then, rolling to browbeat them into telling us what's going on by implying that they don't want us to hear what's happening because it would make them look bad.

Edit: That's a roll of +2, combined with my skill of +3 and the bonus that should be +7.

Since I intend to insult the quality of the store, I think my stunt Litany of Profanity may apply, giving me a further +2 for a total of +9.
