American Horror Story/Sort Of IC (closed)

"MackPintop. Marquis MackPintop." The Irishman replies with a curt nod, before reaching up to shake the other man's hand. "I was lookin' ta see if ya had any idea about what the fook just happened, or if ya saw anything after tha' invisible bugger went and phased off. Been lookin' for an investigator too and ya certainly look the part. There's some caves I may need some help goin' through if yer game."
Walter raised his eyebrows "Oh, you saw that caves too?" He took a few seconds too process it, Apparently the spectre showed those images to other people. "I'm planning to visit the caves soon, although i need to retrieve a few personal items from my room as well. That images he gave us were quite suspicious after all so i guess a few precautions couldn't hurt. Otherwise i had no problem to accept your offer, sir." Walter smiled. "I would rather not making you wait, so... you can either accompany me to my inn or you can visit the caves before me."

MackPintop takes a moment to think over the other mans words.

So other people saw it too? Stupid fooken'... Hmm, praise god, this might be an advantage after all. So long as no fooken' vamps saw it too.

"You're goddamn right I saw those fooken' caves. I'm gad ya want ta go there with me. Don' worry, I'll stick with ya for now. I've got ta grab a precaution meself, but it'll find us sooner or later. If ya spot a long brown case'a wood just make sure ta tell me. Has me huntin' tool inside and I bet it's gonna be real useful." With that the Irishman throws one last at the parents, before shrugging. "I'll follow ya for now, just don't think ya can try an' mug me. I've kicked the arse'a bigger men than you."

System Command: Firefly#2: Survey cave system entrances. DO NOT ENTER CAVES!

With that, the drone did as ordered, taking off from the Madman's lair and flying over the desert.

Meanwhile, Gerald had finished narrowing down his list of suspects for what type of supernatural being the kidnapper was. Now, it was just time to list them in order of probability.

"Caves? Why would I... They acknowledged my presence here... That..."

As Andrea ducked into a alley, a growl began to slowly emanate from the back her throat. As it did, her face began to elongate before in a blink of an eye, her features slammed back into what they were.

"There were others too in pursuit. If they saw me, then that'll push aside suspicion but when I find that baStaRd..."

Smooting out her uniform, she stepped out of the alley way and towards the people who had gathered.
"Thank you for your cooperation. I suggest both of you to wait until the authority arrives. I've already called the police and they will arrive soon. Please excuse me as i do my preeliminary investigations." Walter said with as much fake authority as he could mustered, along with a few extra illusion spells to make it harder for them to remember him. A boy named Bobby captured for reasons unknown by a spectral creature. Hmmm... i guess i need to check the caves soon. Walter distantly recalled someone offering a drive there, although he already left. Maybe he could go back to his room and retrieves his few tools-

Someone with a thick Irish accent shouted at him. Walter glanced at the source of the voice and found a young looking man with a somewhat short stature. He has the look of a brawler and seemed to be at ease despite the blatant supernatural accident they all just witnessed. 'Definitely experienced with the occults. He might be here for the same reason as i am' Walter thought.

"Invisible forces kidnapping children is a thankfully rare accident, indeed. Although considering the situation in Willoughby lately some people might have predicted this." Walter said, looking at the stranger. "I've already advised the parents to brought this case to the police so hopefully they can do something about it. Of course, it would be much easier if the citizens cooperate, don't you think? After all i doubt even the police could do much against ghosts." Walter offered his hand "My name is Walter Pike, a simple tourist. Now, can i help you, Mr..."

@drexal15

"Oh you don't necessarily have to worry sir, Officer Anderson with US Fish and Wildlife. I know it's out of my jurisdiction but I have a radio on me, I can call it right now." She said while smiling.

"Sure, i am grateful for your help Mr. McPintop. My inn is only 10 minutes drive from here so it won't take long." Walter said, already halfway to his Lexus sedan. The drive is a rather silent affair and took barely 8 minutes, even quicker than Walter thought.

Once inside his room he immediately went straight into his bags and opened it. Various old books and strange things that he brought. Several of his tools were... rather weird and eyecatching so he stick to those with mostly protection and investigation purpose. He already worn his enchanted coat and hopefully that would be enough for corporeal ghost. A curse repellant amulet, a memory gathering golden ring and a set of charms hidden as a deck of playing card. He also carried another ring, this time made of iron and inlaid with an emerald that mostly as an extra precaution as it would teleport him back to this room if he was in danger. Walter glanced the town map on his phone, confirming the location of the caves.

"Sorry for the wait, brought too many things here i've spent some time to choose them." Walter grinned a bit "Hopefully i'm about as ready as i can get. The cave is about 30 minutes drive from here. Let's go."

Apparently it took slightly longer than 30 minutes to drive there. Damn maps and their falseness. Walter parked his car quite a distance away from the entrance and they walked the rest together. Once they arrived Walter immediately appraised the cave. Almost nothing special, at least from the outside. "What do you think Mr. McPintop?

Marquis joins the larger man in his car for the ride. Aside from not wanting to reject what looked like a good-faith offer, his only other method of transportation was either running or using a bus. This would be faster than the latter and allow him to conserve the use of his ghostly familiar for when it was needed.

MackPintop had in the meanwhile joined up with his carrying case and used the strap to sling it across his left shoulder for easy carrying.

He saunters up to the cave entrance beside Pike and carefully looks at the entrance.

"Nothin' I can see either mister Pike, but feels like a trap. We're being lured'in here by that bloody thing an' I don' know if we can rightly kill it. Boyo might already be passed on as well." The irishman carefully kneels down to open his carrying case, revealing the seventy-two inch long sword inside. At six feet long it was quite literally half a foot taller than the man himself.

"This might seem a wee bit strange ta ya, but I've got a way ta create light in those dark hellish confines'O rock. Me mum woulda call this being all knightly." With that Marquis summons his armor familiar into his body, and grasps the hilt of his weapon, lifting it up in one hand and channeling a trickle of his energy into the hilt. Sunlight pours from the front of the blade, illuminating the dark cave. "Ya may not believe in such bloody things as magic, but if ya want, call me a sorcerer. Now let's fooken' go inside inside."

"Tch, takes care'O than then. Thanks fer tha' lassy."
She nodded and reached for her radio as he left.

"This is Anderson to Dispatch. I have an attempted 207A here, Kidnapper has fled the scene and child is with parents. Over." She said before clicking it off.

Turning to the family, she stated, "The police will be here shortly. Just sit tight and answer any and all questions they ask you, alright?" Before running over to where her car was parked.

"I change, It'd be easy but then I'd have to explained the destroyed equipment and it'd to much of hassle. I'll do it when I get there... If I need to." She thought as she drove off to the caves. It'd take about thirty minutes and the rest of those people were already ahead of her by some degrees. She'd figure what to do when the time came, she always did.

Torin Famous CEO of Bas Industries learning about the cave prepares himself and departs heading for the caves. He was a night owl much like the other dullahan were. He nodded to the others. "This sounds awfully exciting. I can take care of myself, so I was wondering If I could join your little escapade. I'm sure another head can definitely be useful where you are going. " He responded jovially. Torin doubted they would know he was a supernatural creature after all even his monstrous form was just that his head could detach from his body. He had a horse he could summon and abilities he could utilize however. He figured it might be good to keep those in reserve for now at least.

Near the cave entrance, the roar of a motorcycle engine can be heard as Richard arrives, a strange-looking rifle slung over his back, featuring what seems like a pure black lens instead of a gun barrel. As the blonde cyborg disembarked, he couldn't help but remark "Mr. Cummins? What are you doing here? I mean, normally we just license patents to your company, so we hadn't expected for you to be quite this involved with the supernatural side of things."

An old Native American man can be seen coming out of the caves. "Stay out of the caves!" The old Native American man can be seen demanding of the others.

Walter coughed a bit, attempting to caught the man's attention. Once he did Walter smiled reassuringly "Will you elaborate on that, please? What is there to be feared from the cave? If it was a danger then no need to worry, since we are all experienced cave explorers and will be very careful. Besides we're not planning to delve deep." A lie passed through Walter's lips as naturally as possible. You don't live for one-and-a-half century without learning to. Unlike the previous parents though Walter didn't risk using his magic on this man as he seems experienced somewhat.

"Unless of course if the reason why we can't enter is something else, a cultural significance perhaps? If there is one please do tell." It would be best if they can gain a few more informations before stepping into the spectre's den.

Richard looks extremely unimpressed as he turns to the man and notes "Sir, we're here on a rescue mission. A child has been kidnapped, and we have reason to believe that the kidnapper is hiding in these caves. If you want to keep us out, it will have to be by force."

The man looks towards the assembled group of protagonists and shrugged. "Do you really want to know what's in here? No, you don't. you really don't want to know what's in here. This is sacred ground. Forget the fact that most of you are outsiders, no one is supposed to come here, not White, Black, Red, or even Rainbow Trout Man should be here. Get out."

"Oh, one more thing, this isn't a threat. It's a warning. GET OUT OF HERE!"
With that, the mysterious old man seems to vanish into thin air.

As the blatantly supernatural man blinked out of existence, the cyborg shouldered his laser rifle and noted "Alright, I'm recommending that we use one of the Fireflies for scouting purposes, while the rest of us follow behind in a larger group to mitigate the chances of getting ambushed. Any objections to this plan?"

"What the fooken' hell was... ah Christ. We be tresspassin' on bariel grounds or some shite." Marquis growls, cutting off the flow of energy to his sword. "An' sure thing Dick. Send yer wee little robot in ta scout. Better ta get ourselves ready ta fight whatever fooken' gribbly monsters are ready an' waitin'."

"I learned about the incident when I was looking for a Good place to set the new HQ, had an offer for here. Thought I'd check it out. Learned about this, and my love of horseback riding got me right in the nick of time it seems. I need to keep a head of the competition after all, and yes I think a scout is an excellent idea."

"Honestly, the only way you could have been more obvious about being supernatural would have been blatantly using your powers right in front of us. No sense hiding what we can do now if we don't want to be hampered on this rescue mission."

A few seconds pause, before Richard adds "In my case, I'm a total conversion cyborg, courtesy of my boss. I'm pretty much a Terminator, but a whole lot stronger, tougher, faster, and smarter. Meanwhile, this gun is a laser that can punch through the vast majority of targets, has infinite shots for all practical intents and purposes, and is currently fitted with an attachment that lets it hit incorporeal targets. In addition, my sidearm is currently loaded with Parastopper bullets, which incorporate every notable supernatural weakness we've ever been able to discover."

MackPintop let's His armor fade away and blinks at the two men. Despite his expierence in the supernatural, he could barely beleive what he was hearing.

"Wait a goddamn minute! You're a fooken'... a fooken' cyborg? Lord have mercy, that would explain yer accuracy but ta think yer basically a terminator... it ain't right. No offense, man ain't meant ta replace his body with metal like that." Marquis murmurs, before looking at Richard's gun. "But a laser gun that'll hit ghosties. Sound pretty fookin' neat... but hold it a tick, yer sayin' mister rich guy over there is s sorcerer or somethin'? Ya mind tellin' me what exactly?"

Richard shrugs, before replying "Honestly, we never quite figured out what type of supernatural Mr. Cummins is, but his speech patterns and what-not at least indicated he was clued in to that side of things."

"Yep, I'm clued in have a couple tricks up my sleeve. But honestly my horse i the real star. He's great at travel, his line has been a part of my family for generations, and it's said my connection with him keeps me young. That Or it could be curse by The Grim Reaper himself. Haven't really dug into the family legends that much." Mr. Cummins replied.

"Huh." Marquis murmurs, throwing the suit-wearing man a wary glance. "Yer a horse rider then? Well, I'm not one ta judge hobbies richie. If ya don't know what ya are then fine, but what can ya do besides... stay young cause'a horses? Tha' doesn't exactly sound useful in a brawl."

The cyborg nods, noting "Look Mr. Cummins, we need to have an idea what to expect from you in the likely event that this rescue mission leads to a combat situation. Unless your species needs to eat people there won't be any hard feelings, so either tell us what your deal is or get right back on your horse and head back to town."

"Very Well. I believe I might be a dullahan. Capable of killing anyone I say the name of provided it isn't a supernatural creature. And I can detach my head and extract my spine as a whip which is actually rather powerful. And I've been able to mamipulate blood to a rather great degree. Along with relative superstrength. Now which one of these powers seems to be humane in any degree? Oh and If i kill people I become luckier." He said rather aggressively.

To this, Richard just shrugged and said "Fair enough, and sounds like it could be quite useful in our current situation. Anyway, so long as the ones you kill did something horrible enough to deserve permanent removal from circulation, I don't have a problem with you getting up to some lethal vigilantism. Indeed, I'd be quite hypocritical if I did, seeing as my boss and I get up to that sort of thing on a fairly regular basis."

There wasn't anything of much note in the caves themselves, at least not anything that the drones could readily observe as they passed quickly through them searching for their target, just a bunch of stalactites, rock and patches of dirt here and there.

The drones eventually found Bobby much deeper into the winding maze of tunnels that looped back into themselves confusingly, the kidnapped child playing with what appeared to be a litter of ordinary coyote pups, the parents of which were nowhere to be seen.
