Yu-Gi-Oh! Sufficient Momentum [CLOSED]

The Doctor nodded, contemplative calm on his face as the sounds of dueling began to echo down the hallway behind him. "Of course. Even if you win I would much appreciate it if you would consider coming by anyways. If not, well, best you have the option hm?"

He glances back down the corridor at the sound and nods. "Now, I think I would like to watch the duel from a more comfortable environs. I hope to see you soon."

He turns, and begins to walk away down the hall. Passing the door back towards the lounge in which the rest of the duelists are mostly spending their time.

Red Eyes in the Dark...

Then he turns right, around a corner, and vanishes from sight. Leaving Leon holding his business card.

A shadow detaches itself from the wall and follows the doctor, barely visible in the low soft lighting.
Leon would take a breath and look at the card, putting it in his pocket as he went to go and visit the lounge, figuring that he would interact some with the other duelists, maybe make a friend or two as he looked at Infinity with a smile before shuddering and looking around, the both of them getting the feeling that they were being watched...Yet were unable to see anything...Was nothing there?Or did they just miss it...

Leon looked at Infinity and murmured as he walked to the door leading to the lounge "Keep an eye out for me Infinity...Though it could be nothing...Maybe the old guy just has me spooked"

To which Infinity would nod silently, staying alert, feeling like someone or something didn't quite like her much as Leon made his way to the lounge, looking around as he got there...

Shanna flinched watching Bi'an be shuffled back into the deck and again when they had to reveal their two set cards, Yang Zing Brutality and Yang Zing Creation. Thankfully, while the disk model was older, it had still been modified with a banished zone, so they wouldn't have to put the cards in their pocket or some such.

Their free hand crunched slightly as they stared down the belly of the beast. Level nine in one turn and eradicated the field. At least they still had their summon. Not that it mattered... They hated the feeling of this card. It was being back in Satellite; crushed under the highways and byways of Domino, always looking over your shoulder and in every direction to see where the blow would come from next but always getting caught from the back and never able to get out.

It was honestly claustrophobic. Shanna dipped their head down.

But...

There was still a wind from when Bi'an had been returned. The effect should have been purely visual, but there had been a breeze, and it hadn't yet left. Pulao snarled something and Shanna felt something in their heart respond in challenge. No more Synchro Junction. Theoretically, they could still make a summon and attack. Having Jiaotu in hand practically screamed for it. It was free now. But that wasn't what their heart was saying. No. First, they were going to break through this cage. Which meant they had to wait.

"Since it's still my main phase," they began, pulling one card, Bixi, from their hand and putting it card back up and sideways on the top of the duel disk. "I Set a monster and pass the turn."

Stumbling slightly in pain from when Uru had manifested, yet resolved to move onwards and maintain her strength. Emilia walked back towards the lounge, refusing to sit quietly in the box she was currently in. Walking back the way she had came, ignoring the crowds around her cheering for the match that had just begun. She staggered onwards uncaring of what occurred in the current duel, for now at least, she would watch it from somewhere else. As she stepped forth into the competitors lounge she watched an older man walk away from a young boy. The same boy that had just dueled! Walking with more confidence, her steps light yet holding meaning, the Questing Queen stalked towards the other teen. Her newest aim to defeat and show her power against. A tool to test her might and prove that she was there. That she existed and was capable of defeating him.

Within her arm, the tattoos that marked her allegiance to the Earthbound began to burn, Uru warning her of something occurring. Walking lighter now, more cautious of a threat that may incite Uru to act Emilia stepped towards the boy, what was his name again? Standing tall and proud, as she should be, as was her right! Emilia smiled, an almost ominous glint in her eyes. "Hello kid. I couldn't help but be impressed by that duel of yours against that vampire hag. So, what was the old dude there for? A family member or just another fan?" Walking around him, as though a shark circling its prey she observed the boy who held her interest. Not all that tall, but the yellow eyes and ashen hair attracted some mystique to his form. He certainly didn't look like much, but on the field with his monsters by his side, he was definitely sufficient to catch her eye as a potential threat.

"I'll be facing you later in the tournament, so I can't help but wonder what was that xyz monster you made first turn? It was certainly powerful, I really can't wait to face it!" With a soft peal of laughter Emilia stepped back and leant against the wall nearest to him. She could even now feel an almost warning sensation from Uru about him, was it a sign that it desired him as yet another sacrifice? Or did it merely signify that the spider felt he was a threat that needed removal...

Infinity would be elsewhere, looking around for whatever they had felt...While Leon himself looked at the rather cute girl with the interesting Tattoos, crossing his arms and watching her as he replied, chuckling "Thanks, it was abit rough there...Thankfully I got what I needed to turn it around...As for the old guy?...Heh... Nah, not related...Maybe a fan...He made me an offer...One I intend to wait to act on until it becomes my only option...I'd rather to get to Neo-Domino on my own terms...You understand right?" Leon asked, smiling while remaining on guard, it was the look in her eyes that put him off, they didn't really belong on girl that pretty.

Leon would step to the opposite wall and lean against it,Infinity coming back, feeling wary of the new girl as she felt Leon on his guard, perching on his shoulder and curling around his arm as she looked at Emelia, saying to Leon "I don't trust her...SHe's like a predator stalking her prey "

While Leon would say,not paying visible attention to Infinity "Oh her?You refering to my lady or my queen? Both are powerful given the circumstances...But I'll admit I favor Cyber Dragon Infinity Over Nova..."

The young man would look the girl over and extend a hand saying "I'm Leon, Leon Ashford...You are?...Oh...And I love your ink, inspired by the nazca lines yeah? Real wonders of the world aren't they?"

Infinity would keep a wary eye on the inked girl, feeling something...Dark inside of her...Tense and waiting...

There was still a wind from when Bi'an had been returned. The effect should have been purely visual, but there had been a breeze, and it hadn't yet left. Laughter petering out as the kid lowered their head and seemed to retreat into themselves, Shin felt what was almost a pang of sympathy enter his heart. Had he pushed them too far? Was summoning Phoenix too much? He certainly hoped not, he wanted a great duel, a final battle before he signed out from the competitive circuit. Shouting out at his opponent Shin hollered. "Oi kid! Don't you dare turtle up, we still have so much more to do! I know all about your archetype so baiting me into replacing whatever card that is won't work! Get up and prove yourself! I may be old and experienced, but its your job to show the audience youth and vigor, not hiding from anything that threatens you!

Drawing his next card to add to his admittedly rather lackluster hand, Shin gazed down at the Dimensional Barrier held between his fingers with a grin. Gazing between the Rosenix and Strike, Shin made his decision for the turn. "I activate the effect of my Sulphafnir in the grave! I can discard my Rosenix to special summon it. You know what happens next, Sulphafnir destroys itself to seize a Crystron for me from my deck. Shine Lustrously Crystron Rion!" Again the sulphurous dragon appeared, chipped and cracked at first before a bird made of shining rose quartz shattered. The broken shards of red crystal faded to yellow to reform the dragon, only for that effort to be in vain for the reptilian beast exploded and from its disparate shards a solid grey figure emerged. Formed of grey metal and crystals of the same shade, Crystron Rion seemed boring and merely knelt alongside the mighty Phoenix before Shin.

"Once again, I have much more to do! I activate the effect of Rosenix in the grave. I banish it to summon a Crystron Token to my field!" Again the bird of Rose Quartz appeared but chipped and cracked, released in keen cry it shattered leaving but a simple, light blue gem hovering softly in the air behind it. "Next I shall activate my trap, Crystron Impact! I can special summon my banished Thystvern." An explosion echoed throughout the arena as with a burst of light, the cracked and pitted ruin of the amethyst wyvern reformed and was repaired by fragments of crystal thrown around by the blast from the trap.

"I hope to see if you can get back your fire kid! I'll show you a show that all will remember! A final performance by Shin Ryugamine!" As he spoke Rion performed a final nod before shattering, from the broken crystal shards a trio of green rings formed. Then both the token and Thystvern exploded, emerald and azure shards raining around Shin as the token spun until all that remained was a green star and the wyvern flew a ring around Phoenix and Shin before shattering into a trio of stars. As the quartet of stars passed through the ring, Shin began to chant. "Vibrant gems, honoured crystal! Feed the base earth and become one with creation! As the grand eye of the heavens orbits, let new life spring forth from mechanical remains! Bloom beneath illuminated heavens, Black Rose Moonlight Dragon!" From the burst of light a dragon emerged, not made of crystal like Sulphafnir but instead from flowers, a deep purple, scaled body crowned by wings of pink petals like an immense rose. It flew a lap around the arena showing the audience in holographic petals the size of hands before landing in a gust of wind before Shin alongside Crystron Phoenix.

"I know you want me to attack, so let me oblige you kid! Never say age doesn't also come with generosity! Moonlight Dragon attack the face down with Illuminated Petal Wave! Then Crystron Phoenix attack the monster he summons with Crystal Reincarnation!" From the dragon a wave of razor sharp petals erupted from its gently flapped wings, a wave of soft light shining off each as they flew towards the face down monster. Then from Phoenix its whips flew out, shining crystal shards erupting from them as a flaming barrage. Fragments of shattered red quartz flying towards whatever monster was summoned in a blazing storm of melting and reforming gems. Sighing softly behind the din produced by his monsters, Shin couldn't help but sigh. "Don't disappoint me kid, I expect great things from you..." As he prepared to set his Dimensional Barrier and wait to end his turn after his attack Shin could but hope the Satellite kid would be able to get over his stage fright and put up a good fight. He didn't want to be accused of bullying kids after all...

Bixi, Water of the Yang Zing was smashed and impaled by the thorns... Dispersing into a wave of water but the flood waters ignited as Suanni, Fire of the Yang Zing took the stage for but a moment before he was crushed by the Crystals. Shanna's life points dipped by 900 as it the lingering flames turned pitch black and it seemed for an instant that Bixi had reappeared... But once the form continued to blacken and change, they would know that was wrong. This wasn't Bixi... It was Jiaotu, Darkness of the Yang Zing. What had become of Bixi after he had been forcibly shoved full of the ley line of the void between the stars. In some ways it was negative magic that cursed through this monster's veins... But that villain had long been overcome. However, the power to connect remained.

But all through that the wind had been building, higher and wilder. To Shanna, it almost seemed a frenzy as the hologram of their own monster spared them a passing glance. They couldn't believe that no one else was reacting to it. Their heart was racing. Pulao was screaming and Shanna was right beside them. "I DRAW! MAGIC CARD!" they shouted slashing the newest card out of their deck and dispersing the wind in one motion. There was silence as Shanna revealed it to Shin before even looking at it themselves. De-Spell. "With this card... I'll take it down." They were breathing hard but that didn't matter. "But first... I activate Jiaotu's ability! By discarding two Yang Zing cards from my hand, I get to special summon two Yang Zing monsters from my deck!" Shanna showed both the other copy of Jiaotu and Taotie as they entered into the graveyard. "But there are conditions. First, one has to have 0 Attack Points. The other has to have 0 Defense points. So Return to me, Bi'an, Earth of the Yang Zing and Bixi, Water of the Yang Zing! Next, if these two monsters are still on my field at the end of the turn, or if they are destroyed before that, they are banished."

Now then... either the man had something to counter their ability or to stop Synchro or he didn't. Though with that moonlight dragon on the field... No matter. That Junction had to go first. Their heart wouldn't allow otherwise. "I activate De-Spell! Bring the field spell crashing down!"

Smiling as the boy responded to her, thinking about what he said about getting to Domino on his own merits, Emilia couldn't help but grin. He seemed to understand, at least a little, her own opinion. Almost giddy, Emilia spoke with an almost joyous tone. "I understand absolutely! How can you make your own legend, make sure to be remembered if you merely build off what someone else did for you! I would forget that offer myself, either find your own way into Domino or don't go there at all. Taking such an easy route in will only leave you with regrets and nothing truly fulfilled."

Responding to his second question, Emilia felt the burning in her tatoo grow stronger. Uru becoming more agitated, akin to when Ao was around, unable to help it Emilia leant over to cradle her tattooed arm with her other, gently gripping it with nails leaving furrows in her skin as she focused on ignoring the pain. Maintaining her smile, albeit a touch more faked now, Emilia considered how he spoke of his cards, addressing them respectfully and seeming to be more composed if warier now for some reason. She couldn't help but find it adorable the obvious care he felt for his cards; it almost reminded her of when she was younger, scrounging cards from the streets and stealing them from passersby. Every card was precious, and to her lonely self, each was a beloved friend. Her beloved Vassals and Gorz the only monsters from that time remaining in her deck, but within her pack resting at the very bottom. A few beloved memoirs remained, a great planet the most precious of them.

But now, with Uru showing cards could bear true sentience, rather than just an imaginary persona, Emilia couldn't help but wonder if there was more to the boys relationship. But feeling she was thinking for too long, she leant over with a grin. "Your Queen, eh. Any special bond with the card to see it like that? Or do you just really like metal and wires?" Giggling, Emilia let her grin fade. "But seriously, that Infinity of yours is truly a machine worthy of fear, I can't wait to test my might against it. To see if I can overcome it with my strength and prove myself to these crowds!"

Reaching out with her good arm, letting her tattooed arm fall limply by her side, Emilia made a firm grip to shake the boys, no Leons, hand. "In all honesty, yeah. I got these markings when I did some adventuring in Peru, found a lot of interesting stuff. Including some cards I use. That journey was what made me choose to return for this tournament, I finally felt I had grew sufficiently from when I left Satellite to come back and prove my worth in this tournament." For but a moment her grin became unhinged, from the backs of her eyes, and her tattooed arm, a near invisible bloody red glow seemed to form for but a moment. Like a trick of the light, her entire countenance seemed to change. From her previous warm smile and kind expression, her features seemed to morph into those of an unhinged psychopath. A true monster willing to do anything to seize what she desired. "Win or lose. I truly hope to make an impression on these folk, and ensure that I'm most certainly remembered..." Then it was gone, and her kindly facade reasserted. If it truly was a facade...

Within her soul, a great spider felt its webs twitch, its smile widened slightly and a voice like that of a young girl emerged inaudible to all. "Dance upon my strings, my precious puppet. Dance, and ensure that humanity shall receive the salvation it deserves. Dance, and grant me and my siblings the freedom we require to call forth our king and form the Utopia that we so rightfully deserve. Dance, and ensure your name goes down in history, no matter the obstacles you need to overcome. Dance, and obey my every command my beloved avatar..."

Leon would be unnerved by the sudden psychotic display as they shook, Leon trying not to react to what he thought he saw...Thinking it was just him being tired...While Infinity would spread her wings, and let out a small synthetic growl towards the presence of the other duel spirit she sensed but could not see...While Leon would say once the nicer look returned, deciding it might be best to have this one one friendly terms if she truly was a crazy woman... "So I see...Heh, you seem like you were born for the stage...I look forward to facing you...Why not be friends until that time? There's room for three in this tournament." He would then chuckle and say quickly "Not that it will stop me from giving my all if and when we meet on the field of course, but if they were to ever institute a tag...Well..It'd be best if we were on friendlier terms right?"

Infinity wasn't so fond of that as she said, shining alittle, showing up to Emelia briefly as a warm light glow along his arm and shoulder before dispearing after that split second "Don't trust her...Something dark inside of her Leon"

Leon took that with surprise...But would give Infinity a good chat in private... as he then said in response to her first question " Oh...Infinity? She...Was my mother's ace...This deck was my mother's...You might have heard of her, Marianne, the Cyber Empress, though over the decade...I have made the deck mine...But Infinity still remains as my favorite card...She's helped me get through life...After Mom disappeared." Leon said, looking away sadly on the end, but when he looked at Emelia again after a few moments, grinning this time, his tone filled with pride and determination "So I hope to carry on her legacy, return to Neo-Domino...And find the truth of what happened, if no truth exists to find...Then I'll take up her mantle, and remind everyone of the power of the Cyber Dragons I bear!"

Gazing around, watching as the Field Spell he activated crumbled around him, fragments of technicolor glass raining upon both the pair of competing duelists and the audience itself. A shining snowfall causing the lights from the summoning to reflect and refract. The arena became a kaleidoscope.

Laughing as the monsters appeared upon Shanna's field, small wyrms aiming to synchro together; unite and become a great threat. Their levels totalled 7, so most likely Yazi, a serious threat to his board. A threat that could not be tolerated. Gazing confidently towards the kid who even now seemed more prepared as their monsters swarmed the field. Earth, water, and shadows swirling around them, their monsters must be their greatest hope. It felt almost saddening to break that hope, to shatter it and leave them unable to fight back for another turn, but needs must and Shin was determined to make this last tournament of his as great as possible!

His laughter peaked as he lightly brushed his duel disk, the face down trap lighting up and flipping in response. Upon his field a ring of many colours appeared from where his face down once sat behind him. Rapidly flipping between purple, blue, white, black, and green. It suddenly settled upon a blinding white, from behind him a swirl of light emerged from the center of the ring filling it akin to a portal, from which a set of shining white collars burst forth. The initial pair shot towards and bound his own Moonlight Dragon and Phoenix whereas the last hovered menacingly above the trio of Yang Zing before Shanna. Crying out, exultant in his response, Shin proclaimed his move to the child before him. "Not a chance kid! Did you expect my trap to be but a bluff? I'm afraid to say but you won't be doing any tuning this turn! My Dimensional Barrier prevents any synchro summoning, albeit at the cost of negating the effects of my monsters. It seems like your gambit failed, like I said age and experience trumps youth every time!" Laughing amongst his temporarily bound monsters, Shin leant back to await his foes response to this move.

Looking towards Leon, Emilia couldn't help but smile at his earnest attitude, his kindness and honest opinions that he shared with her. She hoped he would not be determined as a sacrifice like Ao, she would hate to lose both people that were so nice to her. Hearing him speak to her, his kind if stilted words, showing some measure of compassion to her. She couldn't resist showing her appreciation, her features seemed to glow as she seemed to almost skip towards him her expression one of untainted joy. "Thank you, Leon. That means a lot. The stage, I wonder if I was born for it, or simply molded myself until I became that way. My journey taught me many things, the most important of them is one I wish to share with you." Her expression became rapturous, as though she had reached a realisation few else had obtained. "Everyone. Is. Special! Dare not desire to mold yourself into a copy of your mother. Seize her legacy and force it to mold around you. When you force Domino to acknowledge you, when you teach them your power. Ensure they know that power belongs to you and not simply someone riding their parents coattails. I have no legacy to live up to, no knowledge of where Emilia Opfern came from save the streets of Satellite. I had no one who I could aspire to be like as you do. Instead I chose to become someone others could aspire to! I will craft myself a legacy! Ensure my name is as remembered as that of your mothers, even more so. But I hope that despite guiding you, being precious to you, the strength your mother left you does not become a crutch you are unable to free yourself of. Fall not under someone else's shadow, instead become the one who casts the shadow over others!"

She giggled, a light sound at odds with her fervent expression, gazing softly at her deck and at the light shining from Leon for but a moment. "Seize the truth you desire, but ensure that the knowledge you seek will not consume you. A beautiful lie is often far nicer than the uncensored truth...." Her voice petered out, merely a whisper remaining. "I found my own truth, the truth of what I am, and it horrifies me...." Gazing almost regretfully at her tattooed arm, her face shadowed behind golden hair, Emilias hidden eyes released but a single tear of sorrow, almost seeming red in the light of the room...
From the many eyes of a divine spider, just as many tears of red light poured forth at the memories of a time long gone......

Leon watched and listened, smiling at Emelia's passion, admiring it as he nodded, Infinity too was enraptured...She was curious as to the relation between this woman and her own Spirit... Leon saying softly "Surely, you are better than you think you are?...I'll take your advice to heart...And I hope that we both make it to the end..." Leon would blink as he just barely glimpsed the single tear, reaching out to Emelia as if to try to comfort her before holding back, not sure if she would appreciate that...They had just met after all... And he would stay silent for a few moments before saying, deciding to heed not the warning look that Infinity was giving him ,to step forward and hug his future opponent, saying softly "People can change...Perhaps you've found one truth of who you are now...But if it horrifies you so? Why not fight to change and be someone you can be proud of?"

Though while Infinity was somewhat touched, she would be squirming, saying with worry "Leon, are you sure about this?...I really think you shou-...Ah what am I saying, whenever you decide to do something...Little can stop you...Be careful...I don't like her..."

Jin continued to watch the matches while taking advantage of the catering. The Cyber Dragon duelist was disconcerting, more for his strange ability than his deck, though Infinity would be a pain to break through. Meanwhile the new duo were interesting, the Yang Zing user seemed to have a strong deck but lack the courage needed to excel at dueling.

The Crystons were a marvelous deck to see in action, but the specialties of his monsters and his lack of actually summonable extra deck monsters meant that he was reasonably confident in his ability to beat the deck should he fight them. Though he didn't have much experience against them, a relatively new archetype that rarely filtered into the Satellite just yet. So there might be some surprises in store there.

He ignores the other contestants for now. He didn't care about their day to day behavior, only what they did when dueling.

Shanna felt the panic grow as the Barrier decended. That was four cards lost. Damn, damn, damn! Why was it that whatever they did this man had an answer?... What answer was there to this? What could they do against this... Pulao howled and Shanna felt it reverberate in their soul. There... That could work. No, it had to work because they didn't have any other way out. Time to get back in this...

"I still haven't used my normal summon!" they yelled back. "Here it is! Bi'an, Earth of the Yang Zing! And since this one wasn't called to the field with Jiaotu's ability, he will remain on the field, even after my end phase!" 'Can you see it, I wonder. No, that's the wrong question. Can you do anything about it?'

Here goes everything. "End Phase." They took the two monsters summoned by Jiaotu and mournfully placed them in the banished zone with the traps from earlier. "Pass turn."

Leaning into the hug, Emilia was at a loss for words. Why would he be so kind to her? Sighing softly Emilia just stayed quiet, a muffled, "Thank you" all that could be heard.

After a few moments Emilia stepped backwards out of the hug, her face seemingly unaffected, her smile returning to its original joyful expression. " Heh, you're more wrong than you could ever realise. You are truly a kind person Leon, I hope that when we duel my true face won't ruin those lovely beliefs of yours." Her smile faded, her eyes misty and out of focus. As though she were looking past Leon and instead recalling her past. Her voice seemed sad once more as she spoke. " I can't change anymore, I've come too far by now and my mind is too twisted to change. The only method I have remaining is to achieve my goal or fall in its pursuit. When our duel comes around, please either grant me the victory I need to move on and prove myself or defeat me and grant me the solace that would be my reward."

Her eyes peered down at Leon, pinning the younger boy beneath her glare. For a moment she seemed almost angry at him, before her features softened into an almost loving smile. "I hope that no matter what, you will get your wish granted. You deserve it far more than any of the rest of us. We are but cast offs trying to crawl into notoriety, but you have a true aim. I simply hope that the truth is not more than you can handle..." Her words over, Emilia leant over and seemed to fold into herself, clutching her tattooed arm with fingers white from pressure as Uru expressed discontent with allowing someone so near to her in a vulnerable state.
"How dare the mortal make me remember those memories! I demand you punish him for such an act!" From within Emila, the spider holding her soul together raged at its host, how dare the puppet let someone so near them! Let someone force it to think back to such painful days! How dare the Spider of Supremacy be reduced to tears by a mere mortal!

Leon put his hands into the pockets of his long coat, looking up at the older woman, saying in response with a cheeky smile "I hope you'll forgive me if I don't accept that, I was taught that we can always grow into someone better...It's naive, it's silly...But I like to think it's true...So even if you give up on yourself...I think...I won't give up on you yet stranger, I'm going to need a friend afterall... When we make it to Neo-Domino"

Infinity watched, chuckling to herself at Leon's faith in this damaged twisted woman...Keeping close to her partner, as if to protect him from the presence inside of Emelia, wishing that she could snatch it away, like she did the vampire

Leon would stand tall, not shirking from the glare, somewhat surprised ,thinking she might have been angry, before tilting his head briefly at the smile before returning it and saying gratefully "Thank you... I'm just as lost you though...It just so happens that I have a partner I can trust." he found himself looking at Infinity warmly despite Emelia being right there, looking at Emelia while Infinity would glare at her...No, not at her, at the presence inside of her, a darkness her divine light could not yet dispel... She hoped that Leon could do what he was clearly thinking of...And help this one grow to be better...

Leon would then look towards the lounge and say "Regardless...We'll forge a path ahead with light...But enough about that...Do you want to go watch the match? Or perhaps explore the arena? honestly, I'd rather stay with a familar face rather than wander around all by myself."

Sighing as he watched the kid go for such a obvious play. They were setting up to produce Denglong to get the draws and replace itself once Moonlight bounced it away. Still, things could be better, despite knowing that Shin had no way to stop the plan and instead simply decided to see what he drew and go from there. Flipping over the top card of his deck as he placed it alone in his hand, Shin couldn't help but smile. Scrap Recycler. The perfect card to help him out!

"Well, to start off this turn I believe I shall summon my Scrap Recycler and activate its effect to send my Crystron Thystvern to the grave!" Before him a small brown robot formed with a plain white bin at its center. Gripped between a pair of pincers emerging from its front was a cracked bird of amethyst emerging once again before it was unceremoniously dumped into the bin and shattered into crystal shards. Above all this Shin kept his smile ans he called out his next action. "Then I shall banish another Thystvern and Smiger to activate their effects, adding to my hand both a trap I shall set and a monster I believe I shall keep my hands on for now." As another amethyst bird emerged and shattered, this time leaving a shard of crystal that shot into Shin's hand, a smilodon of smoky quartz first seen in the opening turn shattered and left another face down card behind the duelist.

Smirking as he set the Crystron Entry and held the Citree in his hand, Shin felt a grin tug at his lips at the action he could perform during his opponents turn. His true ace, Crystron Glycongandr would descend and in all hopes its radiance would inspire the Satellite kid before him to act rather than merely defend. After all, things in his deck were getting rather tight. He needed to win soon else he would simply run out of resources!

Looking down at the brat Shin couldn't help a smile settling on his face. "Go on, call out your Denglong! I want you to act rather than just react to me!" Reaching out with one arm he prepared to declare his Moonlight Dragons effect to remove the synchro immediately after it was summoned so that he could attack and crush whatever barrier was in his way!

Well... since he asked. It wasn't like Deng Long would last long enough to be able to block an attack. "Alright then. I use Bi'an's ability. This allows me to Synchro Summon on your turn, as long as I only use Yang Zing monsters! And I'm choosing Bi'an and Jiaotu. Infinite Blackness between the stars, you hold them together. Hold now the earth! Cry out, Wuji and summon your brothers to your side! You who were before the others and might still be each of them in turn, your deeds and your movements are without limit! The first ascended, who calls the others and guides their path. Come from the Stars and connect them with your light! Level 5, Denglong, First of the Yang Zing come forth in Defense Mode!" they cried, watching as the two Wyrms rose from the stage and turned into two rings and three stars. The stars formed a body, though unlike most monsters the rings then turned the color of fresh clay and shrank, wrapping themselves around Deng Long's for arms. The gift wouldn't matter because of Black Rose Moonlight Dragon, but the change from the normal was always interesting. Facing forward on each band was the mark of the Yang Zing.

"If Deng Long is special summoned, I get to add one Yang Zing card from my deck to my hand," they began. "Of course, since your Moonlight Dragon also has an ability that triggers whenever I Special Summon a Level 5 or higher monster, that also activates. But since it's your turn, you get priority, which means mine goes second on the chain and resolves first. I pick the magic card, Yang Zing Path!" they declared as a phantasmal image of the magic card depicting Chiwen descending from the heavens appeared. Fitting really, since Chiwen was whom would replace Denglong when it was returned to the Extra Deck. "And I feel I should mention this for everyone else. As long as Deng Long is face up when he leaves the field, be it through destruction, or banishment, or bouncing... I can special summon one Yang Zing monster from my deck, unlike most of the Yang Zing who can only do it upon destruction."

Unable to resist, Emilia reached out to ruffle the kids hair. He truly was far to nice to be around someone like her, someone as nice as him deserved better. Smiling she gently responded to him. "You really are a such a precocious little brat aren't you. Always seeing the best in people. The names Emilia Opfern, the Questing Queen. I guess you're pretty nuts too, believing I can change. But I guess for you I'll see what happens, no promises though. " Externally smiling, yet internally frowning as she experienced the kids company, his sheer exuberance and belief in her seeming to grant her the will to not give up herself. Well, this version of herself, who knows how much it would matter to her the second Uru began to truly call. It seemed as though Leon served almost as a balm, instead of the usual unthinking agony it was instead merely painful when Uru attempted to urge her to act.

Yes, staying around him would be useful, at least for now. Remaining in his presence would only anger Uru to the point it would feel direct intervention was necessary and such pain would not be nice especially considering she could be called out to duel soon. Gazing regretfully at him as she spoke of his partner, a spirit he could trust compared to her own Uru, it left Emilia melancholy as she recalled her own imaginary conversations with the cards she stole when she were a child. How would things be if she had one of them as her spirit rather than Uru? Smiling softly to the boy she spoke in a fond tone. "I'm glad you share such a strong bond with your partner, mine is nowhere near as helpful as your own. " Her smile remained even as Uru's anger forced her to leave bloody furrows along her tattooed arm, the crimson blood making it appear that the markings were almost glowing.

Looking down at her deck irritated, blood dripping behind her as she ignored the cuts, Emilia adopted a thinking posture before smiling in an almost excited manner. "Why don't we go watch the rest of the duel? I know a nice and empty box we can recline in peace from. Why don't we go watch our future opponents so we can get you across into that city boyo." Her voice faded into a nigh inaudible whisper. "After all, I'm already too mired in darkness to tread the same path as you. No matter what though, or who may command my body, I hope that I'll get to view that skyline of Domino alongside him someday....." Stepping forth back towards the area she had watched him duel from, Emilia allowed some of her mired up issues to fade away, content in the company of someone so similar and yet so different from her.

"I have warned you so many times mortal, but if you wish to go so far with him. I'll allow it, just remember your own responsibilities and understand what consequences such a desire may bear." With a sinister laugh echoing across an empty web bare of but its lone occupant within Emilias soul, Uru delighted in how its host always seemed to desire companionship despite knowing how such bonds would end. All would feed the coming salvation after all, and the boy could simply enjoy this skyline as but another sacrifice to utopia....

Laughing at the act, Shin could only smile as the boy seemed to finally get into things. "Very well, my Black Rose Moonlight Dragon activates its effect! Salvation Tide Command! I return your Denglong to the extra deck then attack the monster you summon with my own!" At his command, the Dragon lifted its wings forming a circle that swiftly glowed pale white, from it a deluge of petals blasted forth and forced the wyrm to return to the extra deck.

Pointing forth with his non duel disk wearing arm Shin declared his attack! "Scrap Recycler use Trash Deluge! Then my Moonlight Dragon , once more with Illuminated Petal Wave. Don't let it get ahead Phoenix, Crystal Reincarnation whatever he summons after!" With his declaration a wave of various pieces of holographic trash burst forth from the Recycler at the small wyrm, then the razor sharp petals and burning crystal shards aimed at the monsters to come afterwards.

With his turn over, Shin looked down at the trap he set and the monsters on the field, he had all the pieces needed to seize the initiative. Once Glycongandr arises and banishes the kids monsters, what hope could he have left? All in all, it seemed like the kid would be unable to overcome his fright. With a sigh, Shin ended his turn and awaited the brats response. Would he finally surprise him or was the kid just not cut out for the stage?

Infinity would watch Emelia silently, squirming when she saw the blood dropping down her arm, tightening around Leon and murmuring quietly "Seems she has a very self destructive nervous habbit, prompting Leon to freak out and gasp, saying "Whoa,whoa!A-are you alright?Jeez that's quite abit of blood...*he'd say, grabbing her arm with one hand, and reaching into one of his coat's pockets, not catching her whisper and saying as he pulled out some bandages "We can go to that box, but first, we need to take care of that bleeding, it wouldn't do for your journey to end so suddenly because of an infected wound right?" He asked, wiping away the blood on his relatively clean sleeves before bandaging his new friend(?)'s arm up, with a practiced move, as if this wasn't the first time he had done something like this, wrapping them around the arm, hiding the tattoos from view and pulling them tight so as to stop the bleeding.

Shanna flinched and felt the wind begin to gather again as Chiwen transitioned into a Defense mode Suanni and from there to another Defense mode Bixi before settling on Chiwen again. The level one tuner was in attack mode, almost a challenge for Shin to attack. But the wind was back and nearly suffocating. Three cards in the deck that could help with the situation. And of them two were dummies at the moment.

Their heart was pounding and their breaths were ragged. It was here and now... Pulao snarled something to the heavens above and the hells below. "I DRAW! MAGIC CARD!" they shouted this time calling the wind to whip around the card itself. This time the looked at it first as Pulao chuckled over their shoulder. "What is that..." they muttered. "A one in twenty-one chance?" Well, they didn't need twenty-one losses. But a win would definitely help. "Looks like the Wind of Magic is blowing in my favor. You wanted me to act? Here's an action for you! I play the magic spell Dark Hole! When this resovles, all monsters on the field will be destroyed! Say goodbye to your board presence!"

Looking at Leon confused as he fussed over her, Emilia could only wonder why he bothered. Its not like Uru would allow her to die from a simple wound it caused her to commit. Oh, she didn't mention that did she? Oh well, he really didn't need to know about the spider did he? Smiling as he bandaged her arm with the skill expected of one who survived Satellite, Emilia only felt a measure of joy at him caring to the degree he would be willing to share bandages with her. "There's really no need. I have a strong immune system, no risk of an infection from a scratch like that." Brushing her free hand through her hair, leaving a red streak through the golden locks, Emilia then reached out to place a hand on the boys shoulder. "Thanks for this, it doesn't matter too much, but still. You're a really good kid If only I had known more people back then." Once the bandaging was done, Emilia stood back up, feeling her now covered arm with almost child like confusion. "Let's go then, we have a match to watch don't we?" Smiling at the boy Emilia could only hope that he could maintain his attitude in spite of the horrors that plagued this world...

Looking at Leon confused as he fussed over her, Emilia could only wonder why he bothered. Its not like Uru would allow her to die from a simple wound it caused her to commit. Leon blushed, the satellite teen looking away and putting a half hearted scowl as she called him kid, ignoring the blood "Oh hush, you never know what's going to happen do you?...And...Thank you..."

He looked up at her and asked, giving her a small smile, she was barely taller than him...But just tall enough he needed to look up alittle to see her face, chuckling drly as he pulled his hands back, and tried to wipe the blood from his hair, asking as he moved to follow his newly decided friend in his mind "So...You mentioned a free box?"

Though Leon chuckled...Asking as he saw the way Emelia looked at her arm, asking with some surprise and abit of concern in his tone "What's the matter? Did I make it too tight?"

"I DRAW! MAGIC CARD!" they shouted this time calling the wind to whip around the card itself. This time the looked at it first as Pulao chuckled over their shoulder. "What is that..." they muttered. "A one in twenty-six chance?" Well, they didn't need twenty-six losses. But a win would definitely help. "Looks like the Wind of Magic is blowing in my favor. You wanted me to act? Here's an action for you! I play the magic spell Dark Hole! When this resovles, all monsters on the field will be destroyed! Say goodbye to your board presence!"

Staring as the black hole wiped out his monsters, Shin could only feel a hint of excitement tugging at his mind. Grinning at the challenge he roared out a response over the holographic event horizon laughter upon his lips! "Very good kid! Keep it up, to think I was worried you'd broke!" As the Phoenix tumbled past and shattered into fragments of red quartz he shouted out the declaration of its effect! "Samsara Through Pure Crystal! I revive my destroyed Recycler who enables me to send a Thystvern to the grave! Then my trap activates! Cryston Entry! Shine radiantly from my hand Citree! And brightly from my grave Quan!" As the red machine shattered the small junk collecting machine was revived with an amethyst wyvern being forced into its bin, and alongside it a web of lasers cut through the air, from between the gaps the small yellow machine descended and bright white robot rose up to take the stage alongside Shin!

"Now then Citree's effect activates, return Thystvern! But not for long, Synchro summon!" At his order the amethyst bird rose up in fragments, crystal and wiring spilling around it like entrails as it exploded into a trio of stars, beside it Citree did a curtsey before exploding too. Yellow crystal burning into a pair of green rings for the stars to shoot through. Above it all Shin's chant rose to a peak. "Shining crystal, Radiant gems! Burn onwards upon a never ending path towards salvation! Pure metal built for speed, never stop and reach that ever distant goal! Charge beyond creation, Accel Synchron!" A machine shaped like a red motorcycle with mechanical arms and legs stood alongside Shin, already revving engines and kneeling into a starting position to sprint.

With Shin however, his grin seemed to cover his entire face, an excited smile as he prepared to unleash his ace. "This is it kid! My trump card! Behold the might that surpasses the Phoenix, I perform a Double Tuning! I shall surpass Accel Synchro, and blaze forth a new path paved with knowledge and experience gained through a life of dueling! " With his words Accel Synchron shot off in a ring around him, burning footmarks left in its passage as metal shed from its form until but a quintet of burning rings remained. Alongside it Quan took a short bow and exploded, white crystal forming a sixth ring that aligned with the other five. Then the small Junk Recycler burst apart, the bin it carried exploded to reveal a trio of stars formed of scattered electric wires, still sparking as they shot between the rings. Shin's laughter reached a fever pitch, his voice cried out strident and demanding to be heard! "I declare! Bright Crystal, Blazing speed! Combine all forgotten and abandoned hopes to form a new dream! Ever Distant winds of heaven stride forth and align creation before your will! All things as one, existence united within a single soul! Crush impurity and spread light across the universe! Crystal dreams and metal hopes born as one mighty lord! Double Tuning, Erase despair, Crystron Glycongandr!" Light bathed the stadium as from it an immense form emerged, towering over shin was a great golden machine. Bearing the form of a bipedal dragon with wings of black crystal and shining yellow gemstone, its electronic roar drowned out even the mad laughter of Shin.

"I activate Glycongandr's effect! I can banish monsters from the field and grave up to the number of monster I used to synchro summon it! Quartz Catastrophe! Annihilate Shanna's monster and both Bi'an in his grave!" At his command the titan before him flapped its wings, immense shards of crystal shot forth and erased both the monster on the field and impaled the earth itself to draw out the destroyed wyrms bound to it before shattering them to nothing. And standing between the legs of his synchro summoned goliath Shin merely grinned at Shanna before shouting out to him. "What you going to do next kid? I doubt you get get over this! Show me the fire in your belly brat and prove you're worthy to inherit the stage after I leave it!"

Smiling to the boy beside her Emilia guided him towards the box she had sat with Ao in, gazing down at him. "No problems at all kid. Its just nice talking to you, plus its rare I see my arm without any tattooes. I wear sleeveless clothes all the time nowadays. I think I like the look." As they walked Emilia looked down into the arena watching as the current duel reached some sort of climax. The older duelist with a giant robot on his side against some kid with nothing. Smirking she wondered how things would end up, Leon had seemed the underdog yet seized victory. Would this other duelist do the same?

Grinning she pointed out the match to Leon. "Looks like that guy has a bigger robot than you, what do you think of it? Impressive or just overcompensating?" Giggling airily Emilia guided her companion towards her seating, noticing that it had remained as empty as before.
