Pretty much. Gurren Brigade sounds better. Of course, getting a gunman gonna require tough work for us. We don't have Lagaan to open up a gunman mouth. I look at the first 3 episodes and Kamina was pretty smart guy.

Not exactly academic knowledge but his battle plans and sneak attacks were pretty accurate. I guess he also fought Viral one on one on a sword fight and survive which was impressive.

Kamina that was on canon focus more on an different built, leaning more to STR(Major)/INT(minor) and using write-ins to boost his willpower as well using the character backstory to use kamina as a bard to temporary or permanently increase his willpower and the willpowers of others (simon in the most cases).

That why this kamina got higher willpower and less stats on other two, because he had the willpower to follow his father on the surface, which allow kamina father to survive instead of dying next fucking door to the village kamina lived.
 
Eh @Kolper i looked at our character sheet and shouldn`t we have +15 to Strength and Intellegence instead of +10 due to the formula being stat + 10% of Will + 1/2 of 10% of will

We shouldn't get the great Gurren and the spectacular Lagann until we meet Simon.
 
Personally, I like Team Gurren better...thought that may just be because Gurren Lagann is one the few animes where I prefer the dub to the sub.
 
Simon might or might not meet Lagaan. But who knows? Still, it two years before Simons canonically finds lagaan. We might as well start building an army. Get the foundation of the Gurren Brigade set. Once we get Gunmen, people, a base and an army, we can start building it up from there.

Not spend 2 years doing nothing.
