[X] Explain to Wuya How the Fuck.
-[X] "An evil version of a man who rewards good children for good behavior near the end of the year just gave me this inside a package of coal, which I will analize later, for always being such an evil child. Over a month before his good counterpart starts handing out his gifts. He called it X-mas, as opposed to Christmas. Aparently."
--[X] Ask Kristen and Koga about this, they are bound to know something.
[X] Put 5 stat points on Intelligence. Put 1 on Wisdom.
[X] Put one perk point on Jet Pack and Goggles and put one on Short Attention Span to either reduce or remove.
From the SB thread. The Evil Within said:Yeah, still working on a bio for that one... eh, It'll be there when it gets there.
Also, before I forget again...
FOR A SUCCESSFUL FORAGING THROUGH THE JUNGLE, FOR SURVIVING ORO, AND BEING NAUGHTY ENOUGH TO WARRANT A VISIT FROM X-MAS SANTA, YOU GET...
600 EXP!
WE ARE NOW LEVEL 5!
175/500 -> 275/600!
WE NOW HAVE 3 STAT POINTS TO DISTRIBUTE!
WE NOW HAVE 1 PERK POINT TO EITHER Upgrade a Perk, Downgrade a Flaw, or Buy a New Perk! Choose Wisely! I'ma add it to the stat sheet now!
Hmmm

I agree here, all things considered.
But for the stat points...
And for perks... If we're gonna diversify our stat spread, shore up our strengths with perks, so...

With the santa and stat bits already out in the open, let's talk plans for the future:
The Ring: We should probably try to split off a... We need a word for Training Ethic. The part of Jack who can be assed to train physically. We know it's there because we were just about to do it.
Maybe a Robotics Jack? But then what would regular Jack do? Programming? (Our Jackbots programming IS buggy as hell, so we should probably work on that.)
Too many divisions isn't a good idea, so maybe just one to start. Let's not Omi it up and leave ourselves a bunch of useless Jack's who can't do anything.
Hmmm, possible useful divisions (not all at once):
Training
Robotics
Programming
Curiosity? Research? Studiousness? (Something in that vein.)
Continuing in that vein, but related to something else we should probably look into: we have 0/10 MP, which I assume means magic, which means it's probably like our chi was when it was 0/#, so we need to unlock it and train it.
Because magitech robots. I don't think I need to elaborate further on that, honestly.
Magic Jack? Maybe. At first I'd want to be whole for that, but eventually, yeah, Artificer/Enchanter Jack. He can combo work with Robotics Jack.
Also, we should make a list of support Wu we NEVER take into the field with us. Ever.
Because they're useless in combat and priceless in downtime.
I suggest we add the RotND to that list, and the Changing Chopsticks if we get them.
And finally, we need to get the fuck out of the base as soon as possible because four kung fu demigods are after the ring we currently have in our hands and we need to get the FUCK out of dodge before they smash in the wall and we risk losing two Wu. They probably have the Eye of Dashi, which could be useful, but it's not worth the risk at the moment.

[It also doesn't HAVE to be used on YOURSELF. So long as you hold it and say its name while having a dividing factor, it'll split SOMETHING. Think on that for a moment.]Hmmm, we could divide a Jackbot, then customize the various divisions, then recombine them into CAPTAIN JACKBOT (BY MY POWERS COMBINED I AM-)
Or pretty much any device, potentially.
The Evil Within said: ↑
[If you divided by for Training!Jack, the twowould become Tryhard!Jack and Lazy!Jack. And if you did Inventing!Jack, it would result in Smart!Jack, and Dumb!Jack, which is still pretty smart for a teenager.]The second would be best for our purposes. Dumb!Jack can do the training and Smart!Jack can do the bots and shit.
Push ups, sit ups and plenty of juice don't require a phd.
I shall make clear before starting that anyone in the thread can chime in on future plans, it's better to have outlines discussed ahead of time rather than going by the seat of our pants.
That extends to anything I've already talked about.
Currently, we have three Wu, The Third Arm Sash, the Lasso Boa-Boa and (provided we don't lose it in a showdown because we got caught flatflooted by the oncoming monk train) the Ring of The Nine Dragons, the Lasso and Sash are straightforward, and the lasso is the most expendable of them.
The Ring has no real combat functionality, and is more of a liability in combat than anything.
However it has downtime benefits if used probably or combined with other Wu.
I wonder if we could use it on the sash and make a Fourth Arm-Sash? Test that later, when we don't need to deal with in house problems and flee with the Wu to keep it from being taken-
Actually, a Wu is trackable when it first awakens, but not permanently- when does that stop? Could we stop it by just activating it, thus claiming it and making it not up for grabs anymore? That should eliminate the need to flee from the monks.
We should ask Wuya, or hope it comes up in the oncoming conversation, since it's too late to change the votes.
I already covered the possible divisions of Jack, and the GM chimed in with a use of it that should work for our purposes.
We should test that "split Jackbot into multiple Jackbots, upgrade each a different way, then recombine them to see what the result is" thing later, that has potential, though we'd want to use that for elite bots instead of common Jackbots, cause that could get time consuming.
Hmm, actually, it might work better to build a Jackbot explicitly for this, in the sense of a Jackbot with no armor or devices, split it, then add stuff to each split, then recombine it, that way we don't end up with a pile of magically divided and useless metal sitting around. (Also eliminates the risk of the discarded parts being sucked into the hybrid design and messing it up.)
And then study the resultant chimaera's design principles, (I kinda want to know now if the resultant hybrid design would be mechanically functional or work entirely on magic fiat. Worth checking, could let us get a good look at hybridized multi function devices we could try to make without magic later.)
EDIT: Wait. Does The Ring require a Chi expenditure just when we split things or do we need to pay to recombine them to?
If we have to pay both ways, we have a maximum of Seven divisions we can reverse right after, or 8 irreversible ones that day (which kinda fits, IIRC, Jack only ever split himself 8 ways.)
1 Jackbot skeleton... The basic frame everything else is attached to, split that into 7...
They all need armor, all need the computation parts, and specialize each to a different role... 7 Jackbot varieties...
Melee, Ranged, Flight, High Speed, Agility, Scanning/Aim, Learning?
There were a few Melee builds, though they all sucked bar I think... I think there were ninja bots that were okay. Claws, Sawblades, Rams... I'd go with the claws, since they'd sync best with the other stuff.
The only Ranged build I remember were the ones with retractable machine guns (and, being evil robots, couldn't aim, hence the scanner bot thrown into the combo. AIMBOT.) Maybe try out lasers? Something that won't run out of ammo while still being fast enough to actually hit the shit we need to fight.
We have a working Flight build that should work fine, an extremely fast Jackbot shouldn't be very hard, neither should one that's focused on extreme aerial agility.
The Scanner specced Aimbot will be the hardest, because no evil genius, no matter how masterful, has ever been able to create a minion that can actually hit anything with any sort of ranged weapon, but we must try.
The last one will integrate the learning system we upgraded from Bob, being basically a thinking Jackbot. Install an armored blackbox so when it inevitably gets smashed we can retrieve some data from it, this Jackbot doesn't need much more than a pair of arms to combo well with the melee bot, so it shouldn't be hard to add the blackbox.
EDIT2: Or we could just do that, make 7 Hyper Learning Jackbots, then recombine them and look at the code that results, that might be pretty good to look at.
The rules on Flaw's mean I'd rather have relatively minor ones like that than get rid of them and shuffle the dice on a new one.Lots of things would be nice. Max smarts of what we can currently achieve. More wise. Actually brave. Have excellent reaction. Or enough strenght, to not be blown over by a breeze. ... We might consider luck too. Heroes win against villains, with a combination of wisdom, bravery and luck.
About perks. The short attention span and rushing are problems.
My problem with rushing is, that is one thing that can get someone killed, us or others. The short attention, is a problem for learning things and assessing situations. Sure rolling the dice can end badly, but it can also be somthing great. Like wrath, pride, jealousy and vengeancefulness etc. Those things can be played for ones benefit. The rules on Flaw's mean I'd rather have relatively minor ones like that than get rid of them and shuffle the dice on a new one.
Jack's gonna have some flaws no matter what we do, might as well be minor ones.
As for stats... Yeah, I went for a decent spread, with two points in our dump stat, because it's currently so low the one time we got hit we almost died. Given we'll be fighting people with superhuman speed, being in the 'so weak one hit will kill you' range is pretty unacceptable.
One point to speed plus one point to Jet Pack and Goggles should shore that up decently for our level, depending on what leveling up the Jet Pack and Goggles perk does.
Our Int is so high and our level so low we can afford to put one or two points in it every level and still max it out in two to four levels and still fix some of our stat weaknesses, since we can't go past 40 with level up based Stat points.
And, honestly, of our flaws, I'd ping out Loneliness as our biggest obstacle, it makes us to desperate. Rushing isn't that bad and Short Attention Span isn't a problem since everything we're doing at the moment is pretty interesting.
We might be dealing with the family flaw slightly by ranking up with Kristen.
Courage is our second highest stat, at 17.My problem with rushing is, that is one thing that can get someone killed, us or others. The short attention, is a problem for learning things and assessing situations. Sure rolling the dice can end badly, but it can also be somthing great. Like wrath, pride, jealousy and vengeancefulness etc. Those things can be played for ones benefit.
That said, we probably could get something out of rushing too. Maybe with more courage and an ability to think on the fly, we could become a rather daring character. We need to get into a hectic situation and get out of it using wisdom probably.
