The idea of spreading the zombie plague in some sort of Brockton Bay or Gotham City (without the good parts) is strangely appealing. At the very least, it does seem easier. Let's hope that the Army won't just decide to nuke us later.

[X] Plan: Not Yet

Once we've thoroughly gutted the building of everyone we can, then I'll be amenable to us running and hiding.

Turn 5: Zombie Real Estate Decisions
You live in Belon Bay, a city which could politely be described as a shithole. You don't remember everything about it, but you know that. You lived there for…much of your life, and you think it was better once but you don't really know. Still, some landmarks stick out in your mind. The Boat Graveyard, where scuttled ships blocked the harbor, the Hoak Tower, a half-built spire of concrete that was the dream of some mayor that now plays host to gangs and drug dealers, the Grand Park with its grass slowly dying from polluted water. You remember other things too, like the way the city lit up and everything seemed hopeful when snow fell on New Year's Day, the graffiti that covered the vast blocks of empty homes, and the sweet old lady who ran a mom and pop grocery store a few blocks down…or used to run, anyway. You can't remember the last time you went there.

Despite all this newfound knowledge, there are huge gaps in it. Some of these gaps might contain things useful for growing your horde, but you find yourself wanting to know more for other reasons, simply because you desire a connection with who you were before the worm came and enlightened you and uplifted you. Regardless of why, you feel you must learn, but you know that the main reason is…

Learn more about Belon Bay

The nature of the city makes this easy as you lead your band of zombies down and out of the parking garage and onto the street. The night is dark, with only a few flickering streetlights providing any sort of illumination. A dense layer of clouds covers the sky, letting just a faint scattering of moonbeams down. Off in the distance, you can see neon lights from one of the livelier sections of the city, but you turn away. While lively means people, and that means food, it also means attention and danger. Better to hide in the shadows for now.

The shadows are dark and empty of life this night. You do, however, find a sleeping drunk. He's a large, bulky man, about the size of your biggest zombie. He's also incredibly stupid to be sleeping outside, if you hadn't come along he would almost have certainly been robbed and murdered. After a few minutes of waiting he joins your horde, but that's the only excitement on the walk to your new home.

A faint few memories cross your mind as the string forms between you and him in response to the worm's command. There is the sharp taste of a burning liquid, a fist smashing your face, a leg that never healed right. Nothing sticks except for vague impressions that seem utterly useless.

But the way the worm acts makes you wonder about it. It seems to be intelligent, but subordinate to you somehow even though you have never given it a command. You know you were very different before it. And you know you are even more different from it now that it has made changes to you. You want to know more.

Actually, you find yourself more curious about other things, and decide to start picking out where exactly you will stay. You are truly spoiled for choice. A look around this particular block reveals that nearly every building on it has been abandoned. While some at least well possess a population of squatters or see use as a temporary meeting spot for deals of some kind, neither should prove an excessive obstacle. It's just a matter of actually picking what building to stay in.

[] First, and oldest, is a large house. Built in a completely different style from everywhere else nearby, the porch has utterly collapsed, making actually entering or leaving a tricky prospect. There is a substantial yard, now entirely overgrown with a dense maze of bushes and shrubs and even a few small trees. There could be people living in the mess of plants, although you doubt anyone would go into the house itself. Its roof is half gone, and you doubt the floors are any better. Still, it is probably the most private option

[] Second, you could go into the school. It is in the best shape of any building on the block thanks to sturdy concrete construction, with the only damage being spray paint and a few broken windows. However, it almost certainly sees the most activity for that reason. In fact, you think you might be able to see someone in it right now.

[] Third, you could pick one of the many empty homes. They are all on the smaller side and fairly decayed, but it is not particularly likely any are still inhabited.

[] Lastly, there is a nearly collapsed building. You can just see some sort of pit under the roof that you could only get to by falling. Judging by the position, it probably connects to the sewers. Hiding there would make you difficult to find, bout it would be just as to difficult to react to events on the surface without leaving the shelter.

Due to the way that's written. Good could be classified as a qualifier on a zombie, or talk about the morality of the zombie. Do You want to be an effective zombie or do you want to be a morally good Zombie?

Not!Brockton Bay, here we go! It will be interesting.

Although the part about "know yourself" is going to be difficult. 9d20 and 0 successes, yikes.

Seems good. Enough space for a bigger horde, some privacy and reasonable ease of access for getting in/getting out.

Morality good zombie is not as fun. Unless we becomes something approaching Zombie punisher? Hunt down criminals to add to the swarm?

How else could we be a morality good Zombie? We'll still need to feed our horde.

Our zombie might be a good zombie by becoming a more perfect creature, closer to a fully-functioning biological being, not by being morally good. The most morality we could aspire with the zombie is to unite the world either against us or beneath us, in the horde.
