On Peleliu, a joint operation conducted by the United States, Japan and the Witches Collective to determine the following in a test match:
The safety of using drones as enemies in a controlled environment (uses in Tankery, Dog-fighting, and Sea Battles)
The safety of participants engaging drones (Minimize the dangers players/people could face)
The safety features and fail-safes on weapons and equipment work (Paint Guns and such)
If Witches, Ship girls and ground forces did exist at the same time humanity fought the Abyssal and Neuroi, they could have coordinated together and defeat the enemies of humanity (Show those naysayers how war is fought)
You are Sergeant major, Male, age 17. Tasked as the only infantryman among witches, girls and ships, your main objective is to make sure the test goes smoothly. Your secondary objective is to win the match.
Your Forces: Combined Force of Air, Sea and Land.
12 Witches- led by a Minna D. Wilcke
1 Panzer IV Ausf. D - crewed by 4, led by Miho Nishizumi
5 ship girls - led by Nagato
1 Infantryman - You
Hostile Forces(estimated): Air, Sea and Land drones remote controlled/computer controlled, likely on medium-hard difficulty
20 aircraft - 10 F4F Wildcats, 5 A5M1 Carrier Fighter and 5 Ju 87 Stukas
15 Landing Craft - 10 LVVP Higgins boats and 5 LVTs
6 Destroyers - Drones based on the Abyssal I-Class Destroyers
3 Command Jeeps
Unknown Number of Bots
The match is an amphibious assault with your side playing the defenders. To Win, either most of the enemies to downed/destroyed or your control flag continues to fly over the Airfield.
The enemy wins by either wiping out the defenders or by taking your flag down and parking one of their command vehicles on the airfield.

Time: 11:52 AM. You're arriving on Peleliu airfield on a MH-6 Little Bird bearing north. From above you can see the Panzer IV, several crates and the girls around them. They look up to see the helicopter and cover their ears as the pilot makes his landing. Once you hear the skids, you turn towards the pilot and he gives you the thumbs up. Taking your possessions, you dismount the chopper.
When you moved towards a safe distance away from the chopper, you give him the thumbs up and he takes-off southward back to the carrier. You turn and start heading towards the Panzer IV, when your brain starts working. What am I suppose to do with people I don't even know.

You take a look at your surroundings. The majority of the area around the airfield has damaged foliage, ruins from the Abyss and Neuroi War, and craters from different types of artillery. The airfield itself is operable with a dirt runway. Otherwise the main point of interest are the girls and their equipment.
You make your way over to the supply crates. You can see that the girls are talking about you as you get closer. You also see that they all have different clothing on and that the of tale famous Witches that don't wear skirts is true. Eventually you're able to hear their voices.
(Japanese)
"Who do you think that guy is?"
"Don't know but he must be important."
"OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH!!!" You turn to towards the voice and notice that the other girls are staring at the one that shouted.
"THAT UNIFORM IS THE USA M-1943. THAT'S THE STANDARD THE AMERICANS TRY TO SUPPLY THEIR ARMY BACK IN 1943!..."
You actual look at the girl as she begins machining facts and if you were closer, you'd be sure that there would be stars in her eyes. You look away from her as she continues on as you pass . Judging by their uniform, you deduce that they were from that school ship that you heard about.
You're finally at the crates and quickly take inventory. The main flavor is WWII, with side dishes of America and Germany. There's also modern LBE (Load Bearing Equipment) and clothes if you want to change. You noticed the ammo is not the same as to the ones you've used in the service. Paint rubber bullets for firearms, S.P.I.D.E.R rounds for rockets, and Airburst Smoke rounds for artillery.

[X] Be Professional
[X] Ring of Fire, by Johnny Cash (Eng)
"Excuse me." You say in English as you walk towards the Panzer IV. You wave at the girl that shouted your rank earlier, getting her attention. Closing in, you now have a good look at the enthusiastic student and presumably her schoolmates. She's brown ruffly hair, shorter than you, brown eyes and wearing Japanese school sailor uniform. Her schoolmates, you can differentiate as one has very dark brown eyes, long black hair with an aura of a lady, the other is an orange-red head with brown eyes. You see that they all have a slight blush on their cheeks, must be from the heat.
"Um me?" You mentally designate her as the military fan. She rubs the back of her head with nervously her left hand.
You nod and stop before her. You make a few coughs and try to remember formal Japanese. "Can you take me to closest person that's in charge? Also do you girls have a map?"
"UM YES! I CAN TAKE YOU TO NISHIZUMI-DONO!" She answers anxiously. You motion your head to imply that you'll be following her, she in turns northward and starts walking in a robotic fashion. Her classmates follow her in a more natural fashion while you trail behind them whistling ♪Ring of Fire♪.
Its a short walk when you see ahead of you a larger group of girls surrounding some rocks. You can tell apart that one side of the group is made up of Witches from the lack of skirts or pants, while the other side is closer to normal attire. As you near, you can hear yelling.
"The Strikers aren't here, how are suppose to fight in the air without them."
"Weren't they suppose to be here by now?"
"This is bad."
"Our plan isn't going to work now."
"Um Nagato-dono, Wilcke-dono, Nishizumi-dono, the Sergeant major wanted to see you." Mil Fan says in a rather quite voice as you approach a school circle of girls surrounding a flat boulder. You watch several females turn to face you.
From your left to right, a tall, dark brown eyes, long black haired woman with in a somewhat revealing outfit with unique hair ornaments, a light brown hair girl brown eyes wearing the same uniform as Mil Fan, and the pants less red hair, red eye witch.
"Sergeant major." You say as you drop your heavy gear and take off your helmet. "Excuse me ladies but do you have a map that I can see?" The girls just stare at you for awhile, before the Nishizumi turns away and appears to grab something.
"Um yes Sir. Right here." Nishizumi nervously passes you a crudely printed map that's worse than the one you were shown.
The only information of worth is their battle plan, which has a rough idea of their battle placements and tasks. The plan constructed detailed that the Witches are to take out planes then engages the light amphibious ships, the ship girls were to engage the enemy destroyers then assist either the Witches or the ground forces, while ground was to hold out near the beach to engage the assault force.
You unknowingly start whistling ♪Ring Of Fire♪ as you study the map before you hear some um's and coughing. You stop whistling and pass the map back to Nishizumi.
"Thank you. And do not call me sir, I am not an officer. Can I ask what's the problem?" You gently tell Nishizumi, who is takes a step back once the map is in her hands.
Wilcke steps up and you can't tell if she's glaring at you or just staring but she answers your question. "Sergeant major my Witches and I are missing our Striker Units, which in consequence means we're stuck on the ground."
"Not only that, but 2 of my ship girls are missing their equipment." Nagato chimes in. "We've been trying to call the carriers but no luck."
You nod your head at their complaints. "Nishizumi do you have any issues?"
"No No, my tank and crew are okay, I more worried about Minna-san and Nagato-san's problems." She says while waving her hands. Then you hear a grumble and she bushes red. You hear some giggles and snickers from the other girls till you hear more grumblings. Wilcke and Nagato just sigh.
You see that they were going to say something and immediately pull out your 1 of your rations out. You hold the one in front of Nishizumi. "Here, make sure you share."
She looks up at you and gives a gentle smile. "Thank you very much." She takes it and heads to the other girls.
You pull out the rest and your water canteens. "I have some spare food and water if you girls need them." You say in a loud voice. You lay the stuff on the flat rock and walk away as the girls close in quickly.
You hand motion Nagato and Wilcke that you'll talk to them later. Now you have time to think of something to do.

You walk a few paces away from the crowd to fiddle with your headset to get them on the correct channel for Command. Speaking in English "Command, Hitman 1, do you read over?" You hear a massive amount of static and garble as a reply, your instincts scream out trouble.
Behind you, you can hear the sound of distant Chinooks coming from the south. You headset now screams with audible voices "HITMAN 1 EMERGENCY TRANSMISSION. ABYSSALS ARE IN THE AO. FLEET IS ENGAGED. MATCH HAS BEEN CANNED. DROPPING SUPPLIES. MISSION BRIEF WILL BE IN THERE."
You do a 180 and see two Chinooks flying over you northward, one of them is lightly damaged. The girls are looking up with confusion. The choppers drop their boxes over at the north end of the airfield near some concrete ruins. They soon fly eastward, you see and hear the enemy's tracers whizzing and cracking the air over your own head.
You hear one last radio burst from the pilots before everything garbles. "HAWK 2 YOU HAVE A HOLE IN YOUR REAR!" "THANKS, ITS AN ASSHOLE!"
The girls are now covering their ears, some are scared, others in a combat stance.

Taking a long breathe in, you scream out in Japanese. "ATTENTION!" You look at the girls and they snap to quickly. You walk closer to the group. "WE HAVE ABYSSAL CONTACT! I NEED THE PANZER CREW TO MOVE THE TANK. EVERYONE ELSE GET YOUR GET AND START RUNNING TOWARDS THE RUINS NORTH RIGHT NOW!"
A few of the girls immediately start a sprinting northward, others head to the tank, a small remainder are in a daze or visible panicking. "WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? RUN!" You start gently (as possible) pushing them and they bolt.
When you made sure everyone's moving, you drop the unusable gear and dash faster than the of the girls. Distantly you hear the engines of the panzer start up. You quickly pass by the girls that need encouragement.
"Miyafuji You're slowing down!" You hear as you pass the girl wearing an eye patch. "See, look at the soldier run. Oh he's really fast."
You outdistance the girls and end up first to the ruins. It is a two story concrete building with a large gap in the middle hedged by enclosed wings. There's chucks of concrete, holes and other debris around the area of the building, you know this place has been hit by the war.
Next to the building you find the supplies in a mess. From what you are able to tell, there's 75mm HE for the Panzer, modern 60mm HE, and a lot of 7.62X51mm ammo. You start digging through the boxes and find other weapons, an intact backpack radio, 84mm HEDP rockets, water and food.
You then find the orders, but discover that there's a hole that passed through the important bits. You do find a real, if outdated, map though.
You turn around and see the Panzer and the others arrive. You gesture the Panzer to cut off its engine which it does. They then prop open their hatches.
"Bad news, our orders are schwacked." You throw down the pieces of paper.
"Now *pant* what* are* we..." You raise your right hand at grumbling Witch wearing glasses. You can still hear some mumbling from the crowd.
"For now I want the girls that can fight to get some weapons and secure this building. Everyone else I need you to move as much of these boxes inside somewhere safe. Understand?"
"Yes." Most of the replies are lukewarm but the girls get to.
You then pick up the radio and move inside the concrete ruins. You take the stairs which have no guard rails and find that you are able to get on the roof of the building. Putting down the radio, you get it running and hear the crackle.

Prologue 1.6 To Dare Win? Retreat, hell we're advancing in another direction.
[x] Radio check, see if there's anything on the waves.
"Command, Hitman 1, do you read, over?" You say in English over the radio.
"Hitman 1, this is the USS Carl Vinson, we read you 4 by 5. Patching you to your Command, stand by. Out." The male voice had background static but was otherwise understandable.
Switching back to Japanese you say,"NAGATO, NISHIZUMI, WILCKE! I GOT COMMAND ON, GET YOUR XO AND MEET ME ON THE ROOF. WATCH OUT FOR THE STAIRS."
"ROGER!" The girls yell back. You can hear the sounds of multiple people running up the stairs.
You turn on the radio speakers and rotate the volume dial to 11. Turning around, the girls have circled the radio and you, many with anxious faces. You turn back on to the radio which its speakers begin to air some static.
"Hitman 1, this is George, its good to hear from you again. Can I get a sitrep from you, over." An old English male voice says in relief. You know the man as General George Flechette, your Superior Officer.
"General, you might want to get someone who speaks Japanese. You're on loud speakers. Also our orders went Fubar, over." You hear some rumbling on the other end of the radio. A female voice speaking in Japanese comes out from the radio.
"Hello, this is General Adolfine Galland, can you get, wait one. (English) What's the Japanese word for Lieutenant?"
You hear some muttering in the background before you turn to the girls and hold out the radio headset for someone to take.
"I take it that one of you girls know her." You say, then Wilcke moves closer to takes the headset from you.
"General Galland, this is Lieutenant Minna Wilcke. You're on loud speak so everyone here can listen. What's going on?"
"Ah Minna good to hear from you. You see the fleet had some trouble when the Abyssals come out to play. We weren't ready and had to move east but everyone is okay. Oi wait I wasn't done!" You hear some shuffling in the background followed by some yelling and the radio line quieting.
A few seconds before the line goes turns back on. Its George, " Break, Break. Sergeant major important sitrep. There are Abyssals moving in from the south towards your location. ETA 10-20 minutes. You are to either hold in a defensive position or make a retreat to Ngesebus island. If you retreat, we can send a small escort to evacuate everyone from Peleliu. We've sent in a Reaper drone to assist you regardless of your decision. We need you to decide soon, over. Admiral are we out of the hostile AA yet?" The line closes with a small static.
You look over at Wilcke who's clutching the headset hard enough that she's shaking her hand. You overhear the other girls whispering, most likely translating what was being said.

[] Hold the line - The Abyssal land units are shit in comparison to modern humans. We have better gear, tactics and what not. You know that you can take on defensively, even if they out number you 3-1. Its only trickier when they do it +5-1, then there's a bigger risk. You need to Plan, Gear, Other.
[] Retreat Northward - The map has a clear path to the north island. But there might not be enough fuel for the Panzer IV to get everyone and their stuff there. The Panzer IV will have to be abandoned and everyone will have to march. Abyssal land units while shit, are notorious for hunting down anyone that runs away. You runaway.

You pat Wilcke's shoulder, she in turn passes the headset to you. You stare at her for a moment before speaking, "Lieutenant, shouldn't you..."
She immediately shakes her head and shoves the headset in your hands. You only get a side glance but can see her eyes have the thousand yard stare.
You put the receiver on, "Command, we'll hold our position till relief. You know that when you turn away the Abyssals get into hunting mode. Over."
"Roger Sergeant major, I just word that the fleet is out of the enemy AA zone. We'll send some F-14s out and another Reaper to support you. Just to let you know the fleet headed east once we made contact. Hostile forces consisted of several small submarines and some AA corvettes. We believe that they will deploy infantry once they surface south of your POS. We couldn't tell how many subs there were, so expect the possibility of 200+ hostiles. Also one last thing, Lieutenant Wilcke is the ranking officer in the AO but I want you Sergeant major to have complete command authority of what's going down there. Good luck, Out."
You set the headset on the radio and close your eyes. You hang your head low, pinch your nose and take a deep breathe. Breathing out, you stop pinching and open your eyes to see the southern ruins of the airfield. You have a clear view to the south and southeast, an estimated ~2000 meters of mostly open terrain that the enemy would have to cross with very little cover one they leave the treeline. You can do it, this is your killzone.
You stand up and turn around to face the girls. Before you get to speak, one of the girls wearing Mil Fan's uniform is waving her hand, "WAIT WAIT WAIT. Before anything serious can we girls have time to (She's blushing profusely right now) um... water the daises?"
You remain quiet and see that some of the girls are kinda shifting left and right. You know what's up and know that there isn't a good place to go. You move your head to face the commanders.
"Nagato, Wilcke, Nishizumi. Who ever doesn't to to relieve themselves now can get geared up and set up defensive positions. Also get a roster going so I know who's who and what weapons we have. I'll be back." You get up, hand the map over to Nagato and start running down the building.
"Wait where are you going?" Nagato says.
"To build a latrine."
At the north side of the building there's several convenient crates and ruins that you can build several makeshift latrines. You manage to find several e-tools from the supplies and take one. As you are about to head out when you see Mil Fan from the corner of your eye.
"Um, do you need help Sergeant major?" Rather than speak, you grab another e-tool and tap your helmet twice before continuing out.
You are able to tell she got the message as you hear that she's walking a few meters behind you. Once you reach the ruins, you turn around to hand to tool to Mil fan. She's surprised, since you turned very quickly, but once she see's the e-tool her eyes start to sparkle.
"Take it and find a spot to dig that's private." She holds it like some sort of holy object.
"I understand!" She runs off and almost trips over some rocks. She sees that you're still looking and blushes, "Tee-he" She goes off this time walking.
You walk over to somewhere that's somewhat quartered by some stones walls. You start digging when Mil Fan starts to talk.
"Ahem, Sergeant major I am Akiyama Yukari. Nice to formally meet you."
"I would prefer that we'd meet during lunch. With steaks, burgers, fries, and maybe some beer." You hear some chuckling.
"I would have never though you'd be a joker Sarge, oh can I say that?"
"No, and I actually really shy and quiet. Its only when I'm fighting or I with my unit that I talk more freely. The only reason that I'm talking to you like this is that I can't see you." You finish digging the hole and arrange some large flat rocks to make a seat.
"That's a little surprising Sergeant major. When you were taking charge you looked really reliable but also scary. Sure you were quiet but I assumed you were thinking. Oh I'm done here."
"I'm done too. The girls will have to do with two, we don't have much time left." You get out the latrine and start to head south when you see some girls walking up to you.
The one who talked earlier come to speak with you, "Excuse me, is the place ready yet?"
"Ah Takebe-dono. We've finished making two, the one I made is over there and over there is the Sergeant major's. I don't think I did a good as a job as the Sergeant though." You hear Akiyama say behind you.
"Okay, but..." Before Takebe finishes her sentence you take out some pocket tissues and baby wipes from one of your pockets and toss them to her.
"Make sure you share them." You say and tip your helmet.
"Oh Yes. Thank you very much." She bows back.
You jog pass the girls when your radio headset turns on, "Hitman 1, this is Reaper 1. We are on station and have your POS. We have 4 Hellfires and 2 500lb JDAMs. We're awaiting further orders, over."
"Hitman copies all, for now stand by and overwatch our south flank till Reaper 2 comes on. You are free to defend yourselves, Over."
"Wilco, out." You look up and see that the drone is very far up, enough to be out of the enemy AA guns.
Once you made it back in the building, you see the most of the Witches have taken positions on the second floor. They and the ship girls are moving sandbags and concrete to make cover points. The Panzer IV is hulled down in the center of the building with makeshift planks and dirt walls as cover. On the roof, you see Nagato, Wilcke and Nishizumi talking to one another. They stop talking once they see you and wave you to come over.
"Sergeant major, we've made a list and came up with a possible strategy. We wanted to run it through you first." Nagato hands you some notes and the map. You read everything as quickly as possible.

Ship Girls; has 3 modes, full rigging, partial, and none. None is obvious. Full rig has all the benefits a war ship would have at sea, but if deployed on land they'd have to walk very slowly. Partial is similar to an armored car, they can jog and have some protection from small arms but only partially from their front and sides. Not all their ship systems work.(Ex. Wargame: Armor-Front 2. Sides 1. Rear 0.)
Battleship Nagato - Hardened, Mg3, Partial rig. No ammo for her cannons. Who supplies 41cm ammo now? Faeries from Japan, and they don't share.

The map details placements of the girls and their respective responsibilities such as covering a certain flank. The ship girls Kikakami, Ooi, Murakumo, and Fubuki are placed on the roof because of their cannons and mortars. They are supported by Sanya and Barkhorn.
The second floor houses everyone else not manning the Panzer. Using teams of two, they have great fields of fire and use a mix of tripod & bipod mounted mgs. Most of the girls can oversee the Panzer IV from their positions.
The Panxer IV is hulled down with protection from its front and sides in front of the building. Essentially a bunker now.
The only question is where you'll be place during the battle. Aside from that you can change the plan if you want.

You pass the notes and map back to Nagato. "I got the gist of the plan, I'll think on it more. Good work." You take another look at the airfield. "So are the girls okay? That their, um, ah, I guess kinda of dealing with the situation." You take a peak with your peripheral vision and see the three are somewhat dumbfounded by the way you're talking. "I just want to, uh, check to make sure everyone is kinda okay. I mean this wasn't suppose to happen and uh..."
"Sergeant major, are you okay?" Nishizumi asks in a concern tone.
"Yeah, its just..." You inhale and exhale, "I just want to make sure that every one here is as ready as possible. I know fighting on the ground isn't anyone's forte here, so I'm concerned."
"We'll be okay." Wilcke answers, but you can tell she's distressed. Nagato and Nishizumi just nod back.
"Alright, I trust your judgement. And one more thing." You turn to face them, taking your helmet off and stretching out your right hand. "I have not got the pleasure to correctly greet any of you. I'm looking forward to working with everyone."
They look at you in surprise before Wilcke shakes your hand. "Likewise." Its soft but she has a firm grip.
"Minna we've finished. Everything is ready to go." From the corner of your eye you see Sakamoto, Miyafuji and Isuzu coming up the stairs. You and Wilcke let each other go but you can see that they saw. Sakamoto has a big grin on her face before saying, "Excuse me, am I interrupting?"
"No you are not. The Sergeant was just giving his greetings." Wilcke answers her.
"I see, that so. Then I should also." Sakamoto walks up and grabs your hand. You can feel that she's attempting to crush your hand with a tight grip. That or it is a very enthusiastic grip since she shaking your hand up and down very hard. "I, Sakamoto Mio, will be under your care Sergeant major. I know that we'll send our enemies running. HA HA HA." She lets go and you can feeling a small pain in your hand. You merely nod you head at her. "The silent type eh. Well that's fine. Miyafuji! Come greet him."
"S-Sergeant major, I'm Miyafuji Yoshika. Nice to meet you." The short girl next to Sakamoto gives you a bow. "I'm new, but I hope to learn from you."
"Nagato." "Isuzu Hana, a pleasure." "I'm Fubuki, lead ship of my ship class." "Nishizumi Miho, Sergeant major." Eventually the other girls introduce themselves to you.
Once they finish you speak, "Its good to meet each and every one of you. I look forward to working with this group. Alright make sure you've eaten and relive yourselves, we will not have another time to. Check your equipment and get ready."

"Sergeant wake up." I open my eyes to see Corporal Lee Evans, a green marine, move my bunk's curtains. "The General want to see you, seemed urgent."
I look at my digital watch, 11: 15. "I got less than 2 hours of sleep." I rub my right eye and move myself into an upright position.
"Sorry Bro. Here, morphine and some Rip Fuel." Evans takes a morphine pen, a water bottle and some pills from my medical rig and tosses them at me. I immediately inject the morphine and a rush of numbness flows through my arm and up my body. I swallow the pills and drown them with water before getting out of the rack. "Also you're suppose to wear these, orders." Evans tosses some WWII looking clothes on my bed.
"I'm not even going to give one." I start getting dress in the uniform when I notice I'm missing some stuff, mostly clothes, in my room. "Where's my stuff?"
"Suppose to be washed or something. General wants you to be looking spiffy so hurry up. Oh and food." He leaves two sandwiches on my desk. "Its tuna. K the Gereral is either on the bridge or the flight deck. I gotta go, later." He leaves in a hurry, probably had more errands to run.
I notice my M1911C is missing from my holster and sigh. I'll deal with that later, hopefully. Getting done dressed, I gobble down the sandwiches and head out for the restroom. Once my other needs are dealt with I head to the bridge.
Going up on the deck of the USS Carl Vinson, I already see the General next to a MH-6 Little Bird and he waves me over.
"Sergeant major, sorry about waking you up." USA General George Patton Flechette, age 47, old veteran, dirty blonde hair, brown eyes, has that scar on his right cheek, says without a hint of remorse.
"No you're not." I put my right thumb in my pocket.
"Listen Sergeant, I could have woken you earlier. But more importantly I need you to oversee the experiment, you know about it right?"
"Yeah, during the briefing from yesterday you mention it was on Peleliu. One with Witches and ship girls." He then takes out a small folder and hands it to me. I look at its contents, more of less empty but did define my objectives and had a map. "So why me?"
"The one that was suppose to go, he fell over board. That was about 1 hour ago. I know you worked earlier but I don't have a spare E-9 that I trust to overwatch this test."
"Roger that Sir. Am I suppose to go now?" I hang my head low out of tiredness while withholding the need to faceplam myself.
"Once the pilot gets here you'll take off immediately. At least you won't deal with the spooks from yesterday, right?"
"Don't remind me, those interviews are a hassle." I get on the chopper's copilot seat. "Am I suppose to be blind during this Op?"
"Yes, from the higher ups. They want to simulate battlefield conditions, so you're gonna have to deal with it. You'll be fine Sergeant, it'll be like Iraq or Afghanistan."
I shake my head at the stupidity of the situation. The pilot soon shows up and takes the control quickly. I salute to the General, he returns one. I strap myself in and give the pilot my thumbs up and he takes off swiftly. Once the bird is in the air I close my eyes and start whispering Fortunate Son to myself. Just another day I think, I hope, I very much doubt.
