What 4Kids Dub (or any dub) Change Did You Like That You Think Was Better Than The Sub

Didn't Goku obtain Super Saiyan because Freeza blew up his friend?

Also Yu Yu Hakusho is amazing because this trope is literally eploited. The villain knows Yusuke will get stronger if his friend dies so he pretends to kill one of Yuske's friends. It was amazing.

You know, while I have to admit the dub was top tier, the original features Megumi Hayashibara and anything that denies me the chance to hear her voices is automatically inferior.

Anyways, I'm a sub over dubs guy to a probably pretentiously large degree in a world where subs are easy to acquire legally and dubs are super expensive, so I have nothing else to add, Ahaha~.

Ahh, yes. The Major from Hellsing is definitely way better in the dub due to them going a completely different direction with his voice.

Terri Hawkes voice for Serena/Usagi in Sailor Moon was the perfect choice for the character.:)

Serena :"Ahh..aaahh..aahhh..!!"
Luna : "What is it?'
Serena : "They've got chocolate cheese cake...my FAVORITE!!!!"
Luna : "Oh Serena o_O"

Ichigo became Goku? I didn't get very far into Bleach, but I really wonder how they managed to pull that off.

Mostly he's almost entirely focused on beating the strong foe in front of him. Because he has to to protect his friends, sure, but.... he even does the 'heal the baddie to make it a fair fight' and even once 'here I'll hurt myself to make it a fair fight' while ostensibly doing so, so, y'know.

Also his punk aspects and cockiness get dulled way down at the same time. The guy who calls an ambulance for all his opponents right before getting in a street fight with a gang? Or who bickers with Rukia constantly? You don't really see any of that later on.

I liked that in the 4kids version of One Piece they gave Nico Robin a southern accent for no reason other than the fact she wear a cowboy hat from time to time.

Black Lagoon dub, specifically Revy's "Chinglish" for Shenhua instead of "desumasu onna". Also for the Fucking Short Version.

FLCL dub using real rock bands instead of manzai duo bands for the Pyon gag, and Haruko's sultriness. Also the only English dub ever to get away with keeping honorifics and not sounding off.

Shin-chan's Adult Swim gag dub was pretty funny. I'll always remember a throwaway line from a nurse: "I'll tell you what my husband always tells me; it's just a little prick."

Crispin Fucking Freeman's Alucard and the accents for Integra, Seras, and Major Montana Max in Hellsing Ultimate. Dub Anderson was good, but he was up against Norio Wakamoto. The dub director was a huge fan of the series and it showed.

E: and the crown jewel/saving grace of the English Eva Dub: Shinji's Rant. Also, the ad lib for the AU scene (Asuka freaking out over Shinji's morning wood) and Tiffany Grant's purring Wunderbar~ over the OG's "Chansu~"

I preferred Bruce Faulconer's rock soundtrack for the dub of Dragon Ball Z instead of the original Japanese music, with only a few notable exceptions.

Faulconer had a few good tracks, but overall his music was very repetitive, loud, and rarely tried to fit into the scene.

I could never take it seriously. The tune is fine, but some of the lyrics are just too silly sounding. Like, as I said, exclamation of "SPARKLING!".

In ufotable's Unlimited Blade Works, Shirou creates another meme by shrieking "Just because you're correct doesn't mean you're right" at Archer.

In the dub the line is instead something along the lines of "I honestly thought you were right, but now I see that being right is all you care about!" It's a liberal translation but it stays true to the intent of the scene, in which Archer is proving his true mastery of projection in both senses of the term and Shirou keeps saying BEGONE THOT.
